01. Hello, this is Rich Dad. Yesterday, I stayed up late playing games and watching that Netflix movie, " My Name Is Mar" or something, so I wasn't really aware of it, but I heard the US stock market rose significantly yesterday. In particular, thanks to my subscribers letting me know about semiconductors, I checked it out.

02. The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index rose quite a bit by 2.7%. Although it rose a little less compared to semiconductors, all three major indices still went up, and the Nasdaq rose 0.66%—that’s not bad, right? Yesterday, specifically among semiconductors, Micron Technology rose 6.11%—a very significant increase compared to other stocks.

03. As you know, Micron is the third-largest memory semiconductor manufacturer and is a US company. So, who are the top two? Both are Korean companies. Samsung Electronics is number one and SK Hynix is number two; domestic companies are growing overwhelmingly in the memory semiconductor sector. So, wouldn't semiconductors rise by nearly 3% overall, and specifically, memory semiconductor company Mar...

04. rose 6%? I naturally thought Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix would rise a lot too, thinking, " Nah, they'll surely rise by at least 3%." I looked them up, but unfortunately, Samsung Electronics only rose by 1.5%, while SK Hynix managed a respectable 3.6%. It seems the dependence on memory semiconductors...

05. It seems that SK Hynix, which is much higher, is rising a bit more. Although Samsung Electronics is the overwhelming number one company in memory semiconductors, it does n't seem to be rising that much because the proportion of its other businesses is actually higher than expected. I checked my verification account, and Sokssuri is currently at about 48% while TQ is at 37%.

06. Still, Sokssuri has surged up quite a bit. As I have mentioned a few times before, if I had to choose just one between TQ and Soksul, I would choose TQ; however, the reason I am investing in Soksul despite this is precisely because you never know when a day like today will come again. Although Sokssuri is sensitive to the economy, highly volatile, and considered unstable compared to TQ, if you look at it the other way, it means that once it gets on an upward trend, it rises significantly.

07. It rose 7.77% in just yesterday. That is why I enjoy investing in Soksul. Now that we're on the subject, let's take a look at the year-to-date returns for Soksul and TQ. TQ is at 73% and Soksul is at 61%. Both are in significant profit, but TQ is still slightly ahead. Now, let's look at 1 year Let's look at the returns.

08. TQ is down 3.7%, while Soksseureo is down 28%. As expected, TQ is better. Now, let's look at the longer term, five years. TQ is at 121% and Soksseureo is at 52%. Again, TQ is better, and the total period would be about 13 years. TQ is down 2,199%, so TQ is indeed better. It is true that TQ has shown generally better performance so far, but the truth is, past returns do not represent future returns.

09. Since we don't know what will happen in the future, we can never abandon the semiconductor sector, which is the biggest beneficiary of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Personally, I believe there is a strong possibility that Soksseureo will rise even more significantly over the next 10 or 20 years.

10. Therefore, despite having relatively more downsides than TQ, I cannot shake off its appeal. I have a feeling that I will regret it later if I don't invest in Soksseureo—I definitely think I will regret it if I don't invest at all. That is why I am investing a lower weighting in Soksseureo compared to TQ, but honestly, I feel great on days like today.

11. If I hadn't invested in Soksseureo at all, wouldn't I have felt a stomachache on a day like today? It is difficult to engage in long-term investing when you have a stomachache. This might sound ridiculous, but mental fortitude is the most important factor in long-term investing. It is truly hard to resist when a stock you have been keeping an eye on skyrockets.

12. The stocks you currently hold start to look annoying. You ca n't help but instinctively think, "Hey, that one went up this much! Why can't you go up more than this?" However, blindly investing in every single stock doesn't make sense, and there are definitely stocks that weigh on your mind. If I don't invest in them at all, I feel like "This stock is just too much for me." From a long-term perspective, I believe it is better to invest in such stocks, even if it is just a small portion, if possible.

13. That is why I plan to continue investing in TQ and Sokseul; honestly, comparing returns is quite fun. Diversification has many advantages. I usually emphasize diversification, and personally, I think it would be better for my subscribers to invest evenly across good stocks rather than going all-in on a single one.

14. It certainly has many benefits in terms of mental care. Well then, I will wrap up today's video briefly here. Thank you.
