Hello everyone. Wednesday Economic Concert starts now. SK Hynix's operating profit for the third quarter of this year exceeded 83 trillion won. It is the highest performance in history for six consecutive quarters. They also announced an additional share return package worth 60 trillion won . This is reporter Lee J-hee.
SK Hynix's revenue for the third quarter of this year was approximately 104.6 trillion won, surpassing 100 trillion won in quarterly revenue for the first time. Of this, operating profit was approximately 83.3 trillion won, meaning that for every 8 units of products sold, about 8 units remained as profit.
Sales increased by approximately 328% and operating profit by 632% compared to the same period last year. Record-breaking performance once again. It appears that the company has continued to break record highs for both sales and operating profit for six consecutive quarters, starting from the second quarter of last year .
With this, Hynix's cumulative operating profit through the third quarter of this year exceeded 181 trillion won. Amid continuing global investment in artificial intelligence infrastructure, sales of high-bandwidth memory ( HBM) and high-performance memory for servers increased significantly, driving performance.
In the land as well, sales of enterprise SSDs expanded, leading to continued growth centered on high-value products . Hynix predicted that the memory supply shortage would continue until 2030. The analysis suggests that AI investment, which was previously centered on a few companies, is expanding to general enterprises and national levels, and that physical AI will drive memory demand in the mid-to-long term.
Hynix plans to continue its growth trajectory by increasing production capacity and accelerating the strengthening of product competitiveness . An additional share return package worth 60 trillion won has also been announced. It includes a 20 trillion won share buyback and a 14 trillion won cash dividend .
The third-quarter dividend is 20,000 won per share. Hynix explained that it is returning most of the profits realized from this year's investment in Kioxia to shareholders . This is Lee Jae from KBS News. Meanwhile, the KOSPI rose more than 6% and recovered the 6,000 mark. Today, the KOSPI closed at 612.44, up 6.63% from yesterday, rising above the 6,000 mark for the first time in 10 trading days on a closing basis.
The strength of semiconductor-related stocks was notable, with SK Hynix trading at 1,487,000 won (up 10.89%) and Samsung Electronics at 242,000 won (up 9.01%) . The KOSDAQ index also closed at 771.28, down 3.69% from yesterday . It has been reported that Changxin Memory, a Chinese memory semiconductor company, has rejected Apple's supply restrictions.
They are saying they won't supply it even if it means lowering the unit price. This is correspondent Lee Joong-geun from Beijing. It has been reported that China's Changxin Memory has ultimately rejected Apple's request to supply memory. Apple asked for supplies at a lower price than Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, but Changsi Memory wanted a similar or higher price .
Chinese media analyze that while supplying to Apple could enhance brand value, there is no reason to secure new customers by lowering prices, given that the capacity for additional orders has diminished due to existing contracts with Chinese companies and the company possesses its own technological capabilities.
This is the result of China’s semiconductor research over several years. As Apple’s strategy to leverage Changxin Memory into its supply chain to pressure other companies falls through, it could be good news for our companies for the time being. However, China is going a step further and pursuing self-sufficiency in memory semiconductors.
If China proceeds with its planned supply expansion, there are concerns about a blow to semiconductor exports, which currently account for more than half of total exports to China. In addition, if China enters the price competition after securing sufficient production capacity, there is a possibility that the profitability of our companies in the global market could deteriorate.
Therefore, it is pointed out that rapid preparations must be made for China's technological catch-up and supply expansion . This is Lee Joong-gun reporting for KBS News from Beijing . This is a hot clip. Criticism is rising that the first foldable phone, the iPhone Due, has revealed flaws in its completeness and that innovation has ultimately stalled .
Ah, there have always been voices like this whenever a new product is released, but this time it looks a bit serious. Apple's perfectionist has always sparked anticipation. However, when I opened the lid, my expectations were shattered . The hardware of the ultra-expensive foldable phone, priced at over 3 million won, received harsh criticism in durability tests conducted by YouTubers .
Apple hurriedly announced that it would exchange defective products, but in reality, exchanges are not easy due to a shortage of stock. Furthermore, the software is also problematic. The user interface, or UI, has come under fire . It has been pointed out that when holding the device horizontally for shooting, the UI orientation and lens position do not match, causing the hand to cover the lens .
Most people will turn it like this . Because the UI is looking here . Who in their right mind would spin it like this ? When I realized this, Apple software wasn't what it used to be. Is this really Apple's UI? It was also evaluated that multitasking on the Lanos screen is inconvenient to operate compared to the Galaxy Fold.
In fact, the iPhone Duo holds significance beyond just a single product . If innovation and Steve Jobs made Apple the leading innovative company, supply chain expert Tim Cook maximized revenue and profitability by perfecting a supply chain centered on China. The successor is John Nus, who announced the duo.
The new CEO is a hardware expert. I intended to leverage my major and demonstrate that Apple remains strong in the AI era through Duo's hardware competitiveness . Therefore, if the duo fails, it can be a failure of leadership. Apple has focused solely on expanding existing products and building its brand.
However, criticism is emerging that the foundation of Silicon Valley's innovative companies has been lost. Now, will this criticism lead to fundamental doubts about Apple's competitiveness? Or will it end up being just temporary noise that is silenced by results, as it always has been? This is Seo Young-min for KBS News.
The hacking incident that started in the banking sector is now spreading to the entire financial market. Information leaks caused by hacking have also occurred in the financial investment sector, including Daishin Securities, Mirae Asset Management, and the virtual asset exchange Bithumb. This is a report by reporter Lee Seul-gi .
Hacking damage has been confirmed in the financial investment sector, including securities firms, which had been somewhat detached from the financial sector's data leak incident. Daishin Securities announced that the personal information of 38,000 customers was leaked after its securities account opening server was attacked.
The abnormal access is presumed to have occurred on the 17th. The leaked information consists of a total of eight items, including customer name, email, address , deposit, and account number . However, Daeshin Securities explained that the deposit and withdrawal account numbers, comprehensive account numbers, and mobile phone numbers were encrypted .
The Financial Supervisory Service has dispatched an on-site inspection team to Daishin Securities to assess the situation regarding the incident . Future Operations also stated that it confirmed signs of abnormal access in some web systems . However, it was determined that general customer investment information was not leaked as some business systems were attacked .
A hacking incident has also been confirmed at Bithumb, the second-largest virtual asset exchange in Korea. It is reported that Bithumb was also attacked on its internal business systems. Bithumb explained that it has determined that personal information, including the names and email addresses of approximately 6,700 employees, has been leaked so far .
As hacking spreads across the board, Financial Supervisory Service Governor Lee Chan once again urged the financial sector to strengthen security. Director Lee urged financial companies to establish autonomous defense systems, warning that as artificial intelligence is utilized as a means of hacking, security vulnerabilities will be easily discovered and simultaneous attacks will become a threat.
This is Lee Seul-gi from KBS News. The ballot boxes sealed at Olympic Park due to the ballot shortage during the last 63 local elections were opened today. It has been 147 days since the local elections. Let's connect to the scene. Reporter Kim Woo-jun, how is the situation on the ground ? yes . yes.
I am currently at the Seoul Olympic Park Handball Stadium. Behind me, you can see layers upon layers of police riot squad personnel . Early this morning, Special Prosecutor Lee Tae-han, his staff, observers from both ruling and opposition parties, and officials from the venue safely entered the stadium visible behind me from behind the police barricades without any major physical clashes.
The special prosecutor team had initially requested the withdrawal of the on-site security personnel starting at 9:30 AM . This was because they had established a policy to stop filming the verification process, including live broadcasts . Opposition lawmakers protested, and the argument continued for about three hours.
The situation was eventually resolved as it was decided to allow limited video recording . The handball stadium currently being inspected by the special prosecutor team is the site where ballots were counted during the last 63 local elections, which caused chaos due to a shortage of ballots in Songpa-gu .
Inside the stadium, work is underway to re-verify 2.47 million ballots from Songpa-gu that were counted at the time, one by one . While verifying whether the number of ballots exactly matches the final vote count announced by the election official, we are examining the markings and printing quality to check for any signs of forgery or alteration.
The special counsel team repeatedly emphasized that this investigation would not affect the election results, as it is not a recount of votes to challenge the election outcome . This has been Kim Woo-jun for KBS News at Seoul Olympic Park. The ruling and opposition parties also visited Olympic Park and called for thorough verification in unison.
However, while the Democratic Party of Korea focused on resolving allegations of election fraud and stopping rallies, the People Power Party repeatedly called for re-elections and vote counts . This is a report by reporter Lee Su-min . Democratic Party members of the National Assembly visited the site of the special counsel's ballot verification at Olympic Park .
He stated that this verification is intended to confirm claims of election fraud with objective evidence and urged for a thorough verification to resolve the suspicions. This should serve as an opportunity to clearly reveal the true nature of the issues raised so far and resolve the long-standing controversy.
It was also stated that this should serve as an opportunity to end the rallies and chaos surrounding the blockade of the handball stadium since last June. We will put an end to the prolonged information outage at Olympic Park and allow citizens to return to their daily lives . The leadership of the People Power Party, including Representative Jang Dong-hyuk, gathered at Olympic Park.
The special prosecutor of the National Election Commission called for a thorough verification process that satisfies the public, stating that it is a special prosecutor created by the people. It must be thoroughly verified so that not a single ounce of motivation remains . It must be a public verification that satisfies the people .
Pyo cheered up the participants of the Olympic Park rally and once again shouted slogans such as "election rigging" and "counting ballots." I hope you will shout out louder today regarding election fraud, re-election, and the introduction to voting on election day. The ruling and opposition parties, including lawmakers and party officials involved in the election fraud re-election, plan to monitor the situation on the ground until the verification is completed.

I am the Lifespan Concert. It is an event where the audience can naturally fall asleep while watching the performance . A unique concert where the audience enjoys the performance while lying on soft beds. You can also see the intervals when Gon fell asleep wearing an eye mask and earplugs, using the song as a lullaby.
Another furniture company attracted attention by creating a " dog sleep" experience space filled with beds where people could freely enjoy music, poetry, yoga, calligraphy, movies, and more . Since the younger generation considers health important, they actively put into practice various activities that promote health with the determination to experience them .
As the younger generation's changed perception of sleep leads to new consumption trends, attention is focused on how much further the sleep market will grow . The fire that broke out in Gangnam-guryeok Village in Seoul yesterday afternoon was completely extinguished early this morning, about 13 hours later.
The fire department and police have launched a joint investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire . This is reporter Chu Jae-hoon. The pitch- black burnt debris is piled up haphazardly . Police officers and firefighters are bustling about in the meantime. Relevant authorities, including the fire department and police, have launched a joint on-site investigation.
It is to investigate the exact cause of the fire, the point of origin, and the extent of the damage . The fire in Guryong Village started around 3:50 p.m. yesterday, and the flames spread rapidly with the sound of explosions. The fire was completely extinguished around 4:40 a.m. today . After bringing the large flames under control around 2:20 AM today, the fire was completely extinguished about 13 hours after it started .
Accordingly, the fire authorities have lifted all response levels, including the second level that had been issued. Yesterday, as the flames spread from inside Guryong Village to the nearby Mt. Oncoming cars are stopped right there on the road. I'll go first. It looks like the drivers are having a war of nerves, but there is actually no driver inside the car .
Let's take a look at what happened. The unmanned robot generation is stuck in a narrow alley, unable to move. The situation is a bit strange. A Waymo taxi trying to avoid a Tesla robot taxi came face-to-face with an Amazon robot taxi coming from the opposite direction . However, robot taxis that cannot exchange information.
They cannot move from each other, as if they are watching each other's reactions. Naturally, traffic jams broke out, and horns blared incessantly from behind. While it is unknown whether there was communication between control room staff of the robot taxi companies, there are also suggestions that data sharing rules are needed between unmanned vehicles .
A passenger plane attempting to land while tilted to one side. Just as the landing gear touches the runway, the passenger plane shakes violently and billows out thick smoke. In the end, it veers off the runway. Another aircraft is seen swaying violently in the sky, and a passenger plane is also seen giving up on landing a child .
All of these nail-biting scenes took place on the same day at the same airport . At the time, strong winds of about 80 km/h were blowing, causing aircraft to experience difficulties landing one after another . Fortunately, there was no significant damage, but it was a moment when we had to hold our breath in the face of nature's power .
The container is full of peaches preserved in sugar water . Right next to it, you can see peaches divided into small portions in plastic containers . However, the worker is working with bare hands without even wearing sanitary gloves. This is a video filmed at a food factory in China. The appalling sanitary conditions were revealed to the world when an employee working here filmed and shared this scene .
The video spread rapidly online, and netizens were appalled by the unsanitary appearance. It is reported that it has not yet been confirmed through what channels and in what quantities the product is being distributed . The commander of the 8th Army warned that the North Korean military is gaining modern warfare experience through its deployment to Russia .
The stance that North Korea's military deployment experience could threaten security on the Korean Peninsula continues to be repeated . This is correspondent Kim Seong-su from Washington. The U.S. military has issued another warning that North Korean troops deployed to the war in Russia and Ukraine are gaining experience in modern warfare.
The U.S. internet media outlet Axios reported that General Hilbert, Commander of the U.S. Eighth Army in Korea, recently pointed out that the North Korean military is returning to North Korea having experienced modern warfare, in which drone robots have changed the nature of warfare . It emphasized that the North Korean military's experience of a battlefield where advanced military technology is deployed could pose a new threat to security on the Korean Peninsula .
Axihorse also expressed concern that the lessons the North Korean military learned on the front lines are very useful to an isolated regime, and that continued exposure could lead to problems for South Korea and the United States . Commander Hilbert stated that while he would not go into specifics regarding cooperation between Russia and North Korea, they are clearly cooperating .
Earlier, USFK Commander Brunson also expressed concern over the evolution of the North Korean military's war-fighting capabilities . It also caused a stir by stating that new standards to be observed have been established because conditions regarding the transfer of wartime operational control have changed and our plans have been altered .
Against this backdrop, a Trump administration official stated that both South Korea and the United States remain committed to ensuring that the necessary conditions are met before the transfer of wartime operational control takes place. It was also stated that the procedure is being carried out based on conditions mutually agreed upon by both countries, which is interpreted as emphasizing the position that fulfilling the conditions is important, rather than the timing of the transfer of electronic rights .
This is Kim Seong-su for KBS News in Washington. Would you believe it if I told you that you can lose weight just by lying down and that even fully grown adults grow taller? It may sound absurd, but such advertisements are actually appearing online. Now, just put it in the water tank, and the solid recovery core changes.
My dad also wore this and his pants size went from 38 to 32 in just 3 weeks. There are advertisements for products that claim to make you taller by eating them, as well as massage devices that claim to give you abs and even help you lose belly fat just by buying or wearing the belt . I grew 6cm after taking adult height-increasing medicine .
One day while watching TV, I heard that a doctor of growth science had developed a drug in Germany that helps adults grow taller. They even put out articles claiming it was featured on a famous TV show, but everything from the people in the advertisement to the user reviews was created by AI. They even manipulated physical changes to inflate the product's effects .
They also impersonate doctors and recommend products. As such, a large number of burdensome advertisements exploiting AI have been detected on YouTube. According to statistics from the Korea Consumer Agency, the number of fake AI advertisements surged from 24 in the fourth quarter of last year to 309 in the first half of this year .
The problem is that they are even gaining consumer trust by putting forward fictional experts . It does make it a bit more believable when a doctor does it, but actually, since our doctor appeared, I really thought a doctor was doing it. AI really does this. Accordingly, starting November 27, the act of advertising food products using AI-created virtual experts will be prohibited by law.
The Korea Consumer Agency is also constantly monitoring YouTube's burdensome advertisements together with Google . However, as increasingly realistic AI advertisements flood the market, consumers must also exercise caution. You should be suspicious of any advertisements where a doctor or pharmacist recommends pharmaceuticals or medical devices .
You should be suspicious because it is prohibited even for a real doctor . You must verify whether the expert in the advertisement is a real person and scrutinize the objective evidence for the product's efficacy and the advertiser's information. You also need to check if the movements or mouth shapes in the video are unnatural .
Above all, you should be more wary if they feature overly dramatic user reviews . If there is ginseng on land, there is this in the sea . It is a nutritious sea cucumber packed with minerals and vitamins. They say now is the perfect season to eat it. The movements of the haenyeo who have jumped into the sea are becoming busy.
You have to catch it like this. I have to show this somehow. I looked it up. After a long wait, what I pulled out was a young ginseng. Because they live in deeper waters than abalone, gathering them is not easy. There are abalone, but sea cucumbers need to be at a certain depth . That's why it's hard.
Sea cucumbers, with their soft bodies and dark brown color, may look a bit repulsive, but they are excellent in taste and nutrition. In particular, it is rich in minerals, vitamins, and saponins, making it effective for boosting immunity. It is a sea cucumber. Dried sea cucumber, said to be more precious than a mountain.
Dishes using dried sea cucumbers frequently appeared in the Joseon Dynasty. Sea cucumbers can't go all the way to Payang raw, you know. This was dried and became dried sea cucumber, which was presented as a tribute. Steamed sea cucumber filled with minced beef. A representative example is sea cucumber marinated in soy sauce after being boiled with garlic and ginger.
You can boil the sea cucumber and eat it just seasoned, or just dip it in the packaging, but I think the mulle is the best. These days, spicy dishes with sea cucumber are very popular. Thinly slice the cleaned sea cucumber along with cucumber and enjoy it as mulhoe. You can also slice up fruit you have at home and eat it with sea cucumber like a fruit salad.
It is called a sugar. And here, if there is a big event at home, the sea cucumber jjamppong and sea cucumber porridge are also specialties. Sea cucumbers with many bumps on their surface are fresher than those with a smooth surface . The sea cucumber has a great texture and tastes so, so good. Fresh young ginseng should have firm flesh, and when it touches the tip of the tongue, you should feel small calcareous bone fragments crunching.
If the food has lost a lot of water and is mushy, or if it has a strong fishy smell, it is safer not to eat it. That was the Issue Pick so far. That's all for today's economic concert. I will visit you again tomorrow. Thank you. Why is this happening? Why, the reason it's you, just in case, we, Yeah.
