01. Hey, folks. Welcome into the Thinking Crypto podcast, your home for cryptocurrency news and interviews. I'm your host, Tony Edward. On your way in, please hit that subscribe button, as well as the thumbs up button, and leave a comment below. If you're listening on a podcast platform such as Spotify or Apple, please be sure to follow and leave a five-star rating.

02. Okay, folks, I know right now the market is down, Bitcoin is down, but I have some very bullish news for you. Jim Cramer is bearish, and you all know we have to inverse Cramer. We've seen this time and time again. If you recall, in the middle of summer, he came out and said, "Sell all your Bitcoin. Quantum's gonna destroy Bitcoin." I believe he was interviewing someone from, uh, IBM.

03. But anyway, he said he sold all his Bitcoin, and what happened right after? Maybe a we- a few weeks after, Bitcoin ripped higher and the market started climbing. Well, here he tweeted out yesterday, "No stopping the bears right now." So if you're a bear and you got shorts lined up, I would be careful because inverse Cramer's gonna play out here.

04. So guys, you know, we talked about the weekly close that took place on Sunday. It was very bullish. Bitcoin closed above the 82,800 price level, which was a key support level. It was the May high, and that was very bullish. But we're seeing a lot of ranging and chopping, right? A lot of volatility. You know, Bitcoin went below $80,000 once again, but r- as of recording, it's at $82,197.

05. So again, a lot of chop and ranging, and I believe that's gonna set us up for the next move, where the sentiment gets reset from greed to fear. We've seen this time and time again. Now, that's not to say Bitcoin can dip down to 75K or 77 or whatever it may be. But the point is, it's just building the support level.

06. Because on the weekly chart, which is the higher timeframe, of course, the MACD shows the bulls are in control, the RSI is not in the overbought zone, and the bullish divergence is playing out. If we jump back to the daily, uh, the MACD shows the bears are in control, but they're losing momentum, and the RSI is literally in the neutral zone just chopping.

07. And it reminds me of kind of the action we saw in the summer, in July into August, and then it ripped higher. So I believe a big move is coming. You got confirmation on the charts. You got Jim Cramer turning bearish. So it will take some time. You know, we could see another two weeks of this. Honestly, it's gonna be boring, it's gonna be annoying, but then I believe we're gonna rip higher.

08. And like I said, on the daily chart, the MACD shows the bears are in control, but they're losing momentum, and the higher timeframe is still bullish. So we gotta be patient here, guys. I, I see the comments. People are starting to get dismayed, bored, and they don't realize what's happening, but this is where I try to bring that knowledge and education, guys.

09. Obviously, we don't have a crystal ball, but we can go according to the market principles and even, uh, patterns we've seen historically. Now, one analyst on X, who has, like, over 190,000 subscribers, and I've followed him for a long time, says, "Bitcoin limit orders filled." Uh, he says, "The next target is 91K." Uh, he's, he's saying essentially we did what we needed to do in this, uh, pullback, and we're gonna bounce pretty soon.

10. So I, I think he, he's spot on based on the charts now, not because I want the prices to go up, right? I don't want it to be, uh, my bias, but rather what does the chart show us? And again, the higher timeframe still showing us bullish confirmations. Now, folks, we have some very big news around Ripple and RLUSD.

11. So Ripple announced RLUSD payments are becoming part of the banking infrastructure fintechs already use. We're partnering with Cross River Bank to integrate RLUSD on the XRP Ledger into its core banking platform, providing 24/7 settlement within payment networks and greater flexibility to settle intraday.

12. So couple takeaways here. Ripple continues to form incredible partnerships with banks and fintechs around the globe, and they're getting adoption of their stablecoin, as well as the XRP Ledger. Number two, we continue to see banks, fintechs, stock exchanges, asset managers, they're all going in on crypto and blockchain tech.

13. So it's a race right now. Everyone is looking to get their, uh, respective products that are blockchain powered, uh, live and in production and in the market, right? So really incredible stuff here. Now, you know some people are gonna say, "Tony, I thought they were supposed to use XRP." Well, they can in certain ways, but, uh, I think the majority of people are gonna use stablecoins.

14. What's important, and I've been saying this for so long, and I don't think people still grasp what's going on here. Blockchains, uh, you have to look at it through the lens of Metcalfe's Law, network effects, even Reed's Law. So the more building a blockchain gets on it, the more volume, the more utility.

15. That's what gives it value, and its native token value. This applies to the XRP Ledger, to Ethereum, to Solana, and other blockchains, right? It's not that the token itself has to be used. In fact, when there's transactions happening on the blockchain, the token is used in different ways to provide liquidity, sometimes it's burning transaction fees, right?

16. So it's not that it has to be, uh, at the forefront. It could be a passive utility. So please understand that, 'cause I know, uh, some people have the mindset, "Well, XRP is supposed to be used in every single..." No. XRP is just an asset on a blockchain, right? That asset would not exist if the blockchain didn't exist.

17. Same thing with Bitcoin, same thing with Ethereum. And for those who have this misnomer or misconception of how it's all supposed to work, understand the same standard, Metcalfe's Law, research that, Reed's Law, and how these blockchains will be valued. And this is where you wanna see more utility on them.

18. Now, moving ahead, we have huge news from Mastercard. They have launched the Global Money Platform with BVNK Finance, enabling banks, fintechs, and enterprises to offer stablecoin payments, local bank payouts, spend stablecoin-linked cards, and multicurrency accounts through a single integration. Now- Look at who's doing it.

19. Mastercard. We know Visa's also doing it. Again, I mentioned the banks, the n- stock exchanges, the asset managers. You got the payment companies, the credit card companies. Everybody's in the race to build with blockchain tech. They're tokenizing, they're using stablecoins, they're launching crypto custody, crypto trading, and much more.

20. So the payment companies like Mastercard and Visa and others, they are looking to integrate stablecoins as much as possible to help move money faster. Instant settlement. You guys know the benefits. So we continue to see incredible adoption here, folks. This is massive. Here's another example. Stripe and Plasma launch multi-currency stablecoin cards supporting the US dollar, euro, and Great Britain pound, and more across 30-plus countries.

21. The on and off ramps being set up here, guys, it's incredible. The biggest payment companies are building with stablecoins and blockchain tech. And speaking of stablecoins, folks, we got an update here from US Comptroller Jonathan Gould, who says the OCC's final rule implementing the Genius Act is expected in the very near term, before the end of October.

22. He made the remarks at the Milken Institute's Building the New Digital Economy event, held alongside DC Fintech Week. Wow. The OCC, the FDIC, the Fed, the SEC, C- they're all going to provide the guidance and integrate crypto and blockchain tech. So if you don't know, the Genius Act is, of course, the stablecoin bill which was passed into law last year.

23. Uh, many of you know the banks have been trying to roll back the stablecoin yield part of that bill. Again, all the regulatory agencies and the government getting on board here, and, uh, they're integrating. Now, if we had gotten the CLARITY Act passed, we would be on the path to integrating that, but we did not.

24. However, the SEC and CFTC are making up for that, and don't get me wrong, we do need to get the CLARITY Act passed. Uh, uh, uh, I, I don't know if that's gonna happen after the midterm elections or next year. We're gonna have to wait and see. And on the topic of stablecoins, Standard Chartered pushes $2 trillion stablecoin market forecast to 2030 as supply growth stalls.

25. So essentially, they're saying, "Hey, our target, uh, for, like, this year or next year, it- we're gonna push it back to 2030." I've been saying, you know, we could see a $1 trillion, uh, stablecoin market by, let's say, 2030, but it could be 2 trillion, because as you get these agencies like the OCC and other folks start implementing the rules and guidelines, it will allow more folks to build, like banks, right?

26. Um, folks who have the banking trust charters from the OCC, it would essentially give them the green light to start launching their stablecoins, integrating stablecoins. So we've come a far way, obviously. It's just a year since, you know, the bill has, the Genius Act was passed, so we gotta give time for people to build and launch.

27. So, uh, I, I think we could certainly hit, hit 1 trillion, or at least a little bit over 1 trillion by 2030. Now, on the payments front, we got news that MoneyGram is joining the XDC network as an institutional validator, taking an active role in securing the network. This is another step in our goal to build a more open infrastructure for global money movement.

28. This is per MoneyGram. Folks, look at this. MoneyGram, which has existed before crypto, right? They are now integrating stablecoins and more, but look at this. They're becoming a validator for a blockchain network, which is the XDC network. Now, I know some of you watching and listening, you own the XDC token, and that's been performing really well, right?

29. We covered the charts a few weeks back where it, it really rallied significantly, and I'm like, "Man, I wish I held some of this," but it's not possible to hold every token, obviously, but congrats if you're making money and your portfolio's doing well. But guys, look at this, right? Uh, traditional payment companies becoming validators on blockchain networks.

30. What a time to be alive. And now, a blockchain firm or company that is closely related to MoneyGram is Stellar. Um, they have integrated Chainlink's Oracle infrastructure on their blockchain. So I'm bullish on Stellar. I have the XLM token in my portfolio, but I'm also bullish on Chainlink. I've been saying Chainlink is gonna be one of the winners.

31. You have competing blockchains, if you wanna say, say it that way. You have TradFi institutions using Chainlink's, uh, uh, Oracle and data feeds and much more, so huge adoption. It's incredible the amount of integration that we're seeing for Chainlink, so, uh, great on both fronts. Now, folks, quick word from our sponsor.

32. This episode is brought to you by FortisX. Guys, let's be honest. The crypto market has been moving sideways for a while now. A lot of people are just sitting on their coins, waiting for the next big move. But while you're waiting, your crypto is just sitting in your wallet doing absolutely nothing.

33. That's why I wanna mention one of my longtime partners, FortisX. Instead of just letting your assets sit idle, you can put supported cryptocurrencies into FortisX liquidity pools and earn daily rewards while still keeping the flexibility to withdraw whenever you want. One of the reasons I've continued working with them is because they keep delivering.

34. The team is public. They've successfully completed CyberScope team verification, KYC, passed independent security audits, and the platform has been building consistently for years. They have focused on long-term growth, transparency, and security rather than hype. In a market like this, it makes far more sense to have your crypto working for you instead of letting it sit idle in your wallet.

35. I've worked with FortisX for a long time, and if you're planning to hold your crypto anyway, I genuinely think it's one of the smartest ways to put those assets to work. And folks, I know security is very important to all of us as we hold our crypto assets, and they are fully audited by Certik, and they are SEC-registered and much more.

36. So you gotta check out FortisX. Go to fortisx.fi/x/thinkingcrypto. Link will be in the description. All right, moving ahead. Former FTX Europe chief targets US tokenized stock trading with new SEC exemption. Nasdaq-listed Perpetuals.com is the second company to pursue a US tokenized stock marketplace under the SEC's new framework following a joint venture between OKX and the New York Stock Exchange parent company, Intercontinental Exchange, uh, also known as ICE.

37. So The race is on, guys. Big, big firms getting involved to tokenize stocks and take assets on chain. And, uh, because this guy's obviously connected to FTX Europe, but not part of what necessarily happened here with Sam Bankman-Fried. Um, and I think they probably threw that in to make the headlines.

38. But, um, his name is CEO Patrick Grun, filed a notice on Wednesday that it plans to operate a tokenized securities venue under the SEC's five-year innovation exemption, which allows certain marketplaces to trade US stocks on public blockchains without registering as traditional securities exchanges.

39. Incredible, guys. The new financial system and market is being built right before our eyes. And speaking of tokenization, Binance's tokenized stocks, bStocks, surpasses $1 billion in AUM just four months after launch. Man, uh, it's incredible how fast, uh, Binance is moving here with tokenization, but they are the world's largest crypto exchange.

40. And not to mention, they form partnerships with the likes of Franklin Templeton and others, so they're getting a lot of activity. And, and a lot of the TradFi institutions wanna plug into these exchanges because it's another place, another venue for these things to trade, more liquidity and all that.

41. So, uh, remember, crypto exchanges trade 24/7, while a lot of the traditional markets do not. So it makes sense to go the crypto exchange route or platform route because they've been already doing it. Crypto already trades 24/7/365, right guys? Okay, moving ahead. AI agents make 138 million crypto payments as US dominates spending on AI models.

42. So US-linked wallets account for just over 88% of tracked AI model payments, dwarfing China's 0.1% share, according to a new chain analysis research. So I've been covering a lot of news about different blockchain firms and platforms building for AI agents commerce, the agentic economy, right? And we've talked a lot about how you and I will eventually have multiple AI agents doing things for us, paying our bills, groceries, doing maintenance and all that, uh, booking our travel, and all these things.

43. And they're gonna use, uh, not only credit cards. I, I don't wanna say they're not gonna use credit cards, but they're gonna use crypto as well, stable coins. Because remember, uh, s- credit cards, you know, you don't have that instant settlement, and if you're trying to do commerce with people across the globe 24/7, you, you need to have stable coins.

44. You have the crypto payments, right? 'Cause, uh, it runs 24/7. So, um, this is interesting, and, you know, the number with, uh, as far as what Chinese-linked wallets are doing, you know, China's very closed, walled garden type setup, right? So I don't know if that data is 100% accurate. They may have that going on, but it's not on public chains, if you know what I mean.

45. But it's great that the United States is dominating this emerging market, and, uh, you know, if we could get, we get this right, this could really open up a lot of economic activity and free up people, um, to do a lot more, manage their funds, their finances, their spending, and all these things better.

46. So, um, you know, AI agents could go out and shop for you for the lowest price and, and all these different things. So it opens up a ton of opportunities. But, uh, great to see the US is leading here. Now, EasyA hits $1.1 billion valuation, targets a 2027 public listing and tokenized shares. So, uh, this is headed up by Phil and Dom Quoc, the brothers.

47. I've had them on the podcast. So EasyA is a blockchain and AI developer platform. It helps folks to connect to, uh, each other. It, it does a lot of educational things. So they're looking to go public, and it looks like they wanna take their shares on chain. So, uh, this is the larger theme of crypto companies going public, merging with traditional finance, and much more.

48. So very, very interesting. And they got a pretty high valuation, $1.1 billion. That's pretty great. So, uh, happy to see that, uh, they're having the success they are having. And, um, I hope to have them back on the pod soon to talk about all these great things. Moving ahead, Polygon Labs completes Coinme acquisition, bringing regulated payments coverage across 48 US states.

49. So many of you know Polygon is a Ethereum Layer 2, right? A L2 on, on Ethereum, and they've been around for a long time. They've been doing a lot with payments and stable coins. They've kind of pivoted from their original strategy, uh, which is fine. Um, and this acquisition is actually pretty big for them because the acquisition adds 37 state money transmitter licenses and 11 exemptions as TazaPay, Mesh, Toku, and Kira become early Open Money Stack customers.

50. So big acquisition here for these folks. So the transaction completes part of a $250 million combined deal announced in January to purchase Coinme and wallet infrastructure firm Sequence. Polygon said at the time that the acquisitions would bring money transmission licenses, wallet technology, and cross-chain transaction routing into its payments business.

51. Here's a quote from the CEO, Marc Boiron, who I've had on the podcast. Uh, he says, "Completing the Coinme acquisition brings regulated US money movement into Open Money Stack, giving us more of the infrastructure to support a payment from the moment funds come in to the moment the recipient gets paid." So big acquisition here.

52. Um, and I hope to have Marc back on the pod to talk about this and what their plans are for scaling payments and more. Final news item here. Organizations join forces to fight Illinois' crypto tax after a six-month pause. So many of you know the governor of Illinois, uh, who's buddies with Elizabeth Warren, and I believe Elizabeth Warren feeded him or seeded this idea of let's drop a draconian tax on the crypto market, and just crypto, right?

53. They're not doing this to anybody else. So clearly draconian, c- clearly nonsense, and of course, the crypto associations and lobbying firms like the Crypto Council for Innovation, Blockchain Association, and Digital Chamber are suing the hell out of them. And as a result, they paused, uh, the, the launch of this ridiculous tax, and it looks like more folks are joining the fight, which is great.

54. You know, sue the crap out of these clowns and, uh, get this draconian bill removed. Um, but again, the, the governor didn't wake up one day and say, "You know what? Let's go tax crypt-" Elizabeth Warren. If you look up the connection between the two of them, right? Uh, she poured the honey in his ears, right?

55. Uh, a- and now he's... I guess he's part of the anti-crypto army. It's just really ridiculous. Although we haven't heard him come out and say anything negative about crypto, but clearly his actions speak louder here than anything he would possibly say. So great to see that, uh, these folks are teaming up, going after, uh, these clowns, and suing the hell out of them.

56. All right, folks, that's the news. Let me know what you think. Leave your thoughts and comments below. Hit the thumbs up button. Subscribe if you haven't as yet.
