Good everyone and welcome to my channel. This is Yellow from TripleM South Africa and today I'll be showing you how you can buy and sell Bitcoin on Bitfinex exchange. So, uh the first thing that we're going to do is we're going to go to the Bitfinex web page which is bitfinex.com. As you can see, uh this brings us to a page where we can open an account.
And so we'll be required to fill in our username, email address, and password. So, um, a username can be anything that you like. Um, I usually go for something that's positive and can easily light up my mood. So, uh, I think I'll go for something like this today. And then here, I'll insert my email address.
And then a password is required there. Your password should be as secure as possible but also ensure it's not something that you easily forget. So um I'll put in my password. And there we go. Okay. So, uh there's a welcome note from Bitfinex and it says congratulations and welcome to Bitfinex. The last step is to confirm your email address.
So, they've basically sent an email to my inbox. So, let me just quickly go and check if anything has come through. Okay, there is my welcome my verification email from Bitfinex. I'll just open it. Let's open it and then we'll click on verify email address. Okay. So the next step here will be for us to log into the account.
So it requires my email address. So I'll just insert my email address. and password and login. So, we've successfully created our Bitfinex account and we are logged in. So here the next step will be for you to deposit funds into your Bitfinex account but and this should be done through a bank wire transfer and to do this at least you should have a US dollar account and also note that uh bank transfers take up to a few days so it takes a few days for it to appear on your account and then you also be required to upload your proof of identity.
This is just for verification purposes and this also can take a few days. It can also go to about a week. So after everything has been done and your funds have appeared into your Bitfinex account, you can now buy your bitcoins. So to buy your bitcoin, you can just go to exchange. Okay, you go to exchange and then uh you put in the amount of bitcoins that you would like to buy.
So let's say in this instance we want to buy 0.8904. This will now give us the US dollar amount of what it will cost. And then we can just go on buy BTC. And the same applies to selling your bitcoins. So you go to exchange once again to sell your bitcoins. So you see this is um this is a limited order type.
It says uh order type limit. So here you can put in your order size like how much you'd like to sell. So, we say you'd like to sell 0.5. So, here you can determine how much you'd like to sell. And then, um, for this one, after you have put in the trade, you now have to wait to be matched with somebody that actually needs to buy Bitcoin from you.
So, this one, you have to wait a little bit longer. But if you feel you need to sell your bitcoins immediately, you can now change the order type from limit and then you click on market. When you click on market, you can put in your order size. So here on order size, you can just um determine the amount of bitcoins you'd like to sell.
And then you go to cell beating. See? So this will now bring you to will now bring you a lot of beads that you can choose from. So you can choose on different buyers according to the amount of bitcoins that you would like to buy. It's as easy as that, but it's always easier for you to see if there were funds into the account.
