okay guys let's get into the next topic now the next topic is going to be pretty interesting my crypto guys are definitely gonna love it it's about crypto is dead in America says long time Bitcoin bull I'm gonna try the name I'm gonna try the name let me let you guys see what's going on here um Bitcoin bull cha math pillow Tia pillow hat pitia Pilla Hot Potato uh-huh so uh this is him right there seems like a very intelligent man you could tell when when somebody's got the suits that are built kind of like a rug they're they're all the always either extremely fresh extremely good looking or they look like old like just outdated you know like where where like the suit kind of has that texture of like a couch kinda and everything like that so I'm assuming he's looking sharp so I'm assumed he's got some money I've got money you know what I'm saying but let's see what he has to say now also from my guys who play RuneScape hop on some RuneScape you know what I'm saying um now Tech investor chimath uh Pilla happens here who said two years ago that Bitcoin has replaced gold and predicted that the digital currency would climb to 200 000 has a more cautious view on cryptocurrency these days oh man that's a bad call calling crypto to go um to 200 000 right before it got slaughtered from about 50 60 000 and sat around in the 20s this is a pretty bad call that's a that's a Jim Cramer level of call out I would have to say you know and everything like that now he said crypto is dead in America he said in the latest episode of the all in podcast now he blamed crypto's demise largely on regulators who have gotten much more aggressive in their pursuit of Bad actors in the industry well the only I mean let's keep it a stack though the only reason these whole like Sam bankman fried and all these crypto scams nft scams were really able to come was because crypto was a unregulated industry which kind of was the entire point of crypto so I don't know if I would necessarily blame it on Bad actors in the industry without without reading further of course and hearing his points just because so many people have gotten scammed because of this it's almost like you know to a point where it's like should we ignore that people were getting like doesn't work that and furtherance of the growth of crypto you know um Securities and Exchange Commission Cherry uh chairman Gary glensler has said crypto trading platform should abide by strict U.S Securities laws in answering in front of lawmakers recently he connected the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank with the crypto industry definitely was he said you had glitzer even blaming the banking crisis on crypto the United States authorities have firminly pointed their guns at crypto now it says the SEC has ramped up its enforcement of the crypto industry bearing down on companies and projects that the regulator alleges were selling unregistered securities big problem actually big problem and that was definitely happening now it says in February the agency proposed rules that would change which crypto firms can custody customer Assets in March the SEC um issued crypto exchange coinbase a Wells notice typically one of the final steps before it files charges warning the company that it identified potential violations of U.S Securities Law last week the SEC charged the crypto asset trading form bittrex and its ex-ceo with the operating in unregistered exchange see that's really the problem here is we have a whole bunch of like they said a whole bunch of crypto exchanges and they don't have to necessarily go through the same uh checks and balances or the same process that something you know like uh forex.com or TD Ameritrade or Charles Schwab would have to go through for you you know to put your money onto the account and trade it into various things there's less rules there's less regulation on it one because it's a new thing but two because like I said the whole point of cryptocurrency was was so government and and financial institutions wouldn't be able to have such an influence on it it was more something where you wanted the people to just influence it and uh affect you know supply and demand simply from a supply and demand standpoint a purely economical standpoint without laws and rules affecting the way that the money is generated now um coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong told CNBC that his company is preparing for a years-long court battle with the commission and is also considering relocating outside the U.S if it doesn't get improved regulatory Clarity which most likely will end up being the move for a lot of these cryptocurrency companies meanwhile bittrex has already announced it would wind down U.S operations specifically due to continued regulatory uncertainty they don't know they won't they don't want to make moves that could possibly get them into trouble you know if if news or if law should come out in the future you know where it's like uh we didn't know what we were doing wrong but now they got the government on them because of some moves that they possibly made in the past so you're saying we already don't know what the government government's going to do we don't know what the laws are going to be out like this so we're just kind of kind of step away you know what I'm saying just to kind of protect ourselves in a way is kind of what I'm getting from that now it says they were probably the ones that were the most threatening to The Establishment and they were the ones that In fairness to The Regulators did push the boundaries more than any sector of the startup economy now they're paying the price for that the bill has come due to them uh for them now it says gentler faced similar criticism from House Republicans over the agency's Crackdown on cryptocurrency platforms during four hours of congressial testimony last week regulation by enforcement is not sufficient or sustainable um said house Financial Service committee chairman rep Patrick McHenry a republican Northern Carolina you're punishing digital asset forms for uh allegedly not hearing to the law when they don't know it will apply to them that's the issue here kind of like the issue with AI it's like how far do I take it what am I allowed to do what am I not allowed to do if those guidelines are in place then obviously we have a clear-cut answer of okay what this firm did was wrong okay what this firm did was right you know what I'm saying or if at the least if we have some law or some regulation around it it can be taken to court if there's a gray area and then we can figure out you know over time like okay well if you do it in this way then it's wrong if you do it in this way then it's right but the problem is is that regulation is not there so people are allowed to do whatever they want to do and then when it comes time and they do something that let's say hurts people then they can say hey like I didn't know that I wasn't allowed to do this and they're essentially justified in saying that because there were no laws in place to tell them that it wasn't okay to do that you know and everything like that now it says McHenry said the sec's approach was driving Innovation overseas and endangering American competitiveness uh he defended the agency's actions it says uh we have a clear regulatory framework built up over 90 years that's interesting uh adding that the exchanges are non-compliant generally and they need to come into compliance Bitcoin the largest cryptocurrency reached to a record of about 69 000 in November 21 when the federal reserve's Benchmark interest rate was near zero and investors were flooding into risk which as we know now is the complete opposite now as the interest rate is you know very high right now and investors are more risk off than they are risk on because the economy is bad inflation is bad interest rates are high and as we all know over here at NGB business news when interest rates go up people don't want to take out loans businesses don't want to invest they don't want to expand it essentially slows down the economy so with interest rates going up obviously people are going to be less likely not only to invest but definitely to invest in something that would be perceived as more risky like a cryptocurrency type of asset now it says uh the market changed in a hurry last year as the FED began steadily Rising rates to fight inflation uh in early 2021 he predicted on CNBC that it would rise from 39 000 to a hundred thousand and then two hundred thousand and what period I don't know five years ten years but it's going there and the reason is because every time you see all this stuff happening it reminds you that wow our leaders are not as trustworthy and reliable as they used to be now he had also said they replaced gold and Bitcoin is currently trading at 27 300 down 60 from its all-time high so I want to know what you guys think do you guys think that Bitcoin still has a leg in this race I think that's really the question here and what we really are asking obviously we know that the idea of crypto is good the idea of a decentralized you know unit of currency that can be used worldwide and unaffected by government governments and financial institutions I think we all for the most part can agree that that is is good idea in the Forefront but when we think about the high levels of or the low levels of Regulation how that's affecting people and everything like that in these firms especially when we're talking about the direct movement or transfer and currency that can be a very dangerous thing and that's why we're seeing it tied to things like you know Sam bakeman fried uh uh Sam bingman freed and uh you know the svb bank collapse and everything like that so I want to know do you guys think that crypto still has a leg to stand on in the future do you guys think that crypto's gotten such a bad look at it at this point now that it will be countless times before somebody actually takes digital currency really serious in the way that we were thinking it was going to be you know you go to a a vending machine you just pull out your phone spend a little Bitcoin boom boom boom you can get you a soda you know what I'm saying do you guys think that that type of you know um that type of dynamic is still going to be possible you know in the short term and when I say the short term I mean like the next 10 20 years or you guys think that at this point hey we tried it it really didn't work here's what we need to fix it's going to take some time for us to fix this and then do it the right way so I definitely want to know what you guys think about that and everything like comment subscribe And subscribe help the videos get pushed up excuse me hope the videos get pushed out I definitely appreciate all the love you guys have been showing me it's really been helping the channel grow and I can't ask for much more out of all of you guys I appreciate all your comments I read them I I respond to them when I can and I just like seeing especially when you guys are having conversations amongst yourselves and sometimes it can get a little heated but as long as we all keep it respectful it's all good now let's get into the next video
