breech candy hospital at 6 45 a.m where he was declared dead jun jinwala was known as the big bull of the indian stock market he was suffering from multiple ailments including kidney issues he is reported to have a net worth of over 5.5 billion dollars he started off with just ten thousand dollars that he grew to this massive amount he was also the promoter of akasa air and was last seen at the airlines launch prime minister nanda modi paid his condolences and highlighted junju mala's contribution to the financial world now we're joined by my colleague herman gomes who is live with us from reach candy hospital this is where rakesh junjunwala was brought dead this morning at 6 45 am herman take us through his unfortunate demise we learned that he was he had multiple ailments uh through many uh months uh well yes in fact uh mr junjan wala was admitted at the hospital much prior to this too uh but then after that uh since he is uh you know his health began improving he was discharged from the hospital and after that this morning his family members brought him at around close to around 6 45 a.m this morning here at the bridge candy hospital where he was declared dead now for the past few months what the doctors have been stating is that he had not been keeping in the best of health he had certain ailments including certain kidney issues for which he was undergoing treatment but even he was to the extent that he was also admitted to the hospital but then was discharged when his health improved but subsequently this morning unfortunately he was brought here at 6 45 a.m where he was declared dead now even as i speak to you there are some few family members inside the bridge candy hospital tentatively around 11 o'clock is what we are given to understand is that the body would be taken to his home in south mumbai uh where uh you know you'll have the who's who not just from the business industry but it is also likely uh that politicians would be paying uh their respects to mr jones uh now he had not as i was saying he has not been keeping well the last time that he was seen in public i was at the launch of the akasa air which he has co-founded with another business partner now that was the last time he was seen in public and therefore this is seen as a demise for someone who's you know a self-made man such as him who was known as the bull of the indian market uh clearly it is a sad day for uh for mainly for the uh business fraternity as well uh because you've been seeing rich tribute shilpa coming in for his contribution towards uh the indian economy particularly uh in the in the in the share industries uh so as of now even as i speak some of the family members are inside after that the body will be taken to his home in south mumbai and the cremation is expected uh to be taking place today itself all right so herman there reporting from reach candy hospital he tells us that the cremation is expected uh to happen today and the family will be taking his immortal remains home herman who is at the hospital uh presently and uh our uh his friends and all the prominent names uh from the city of mumbai of course uh you know he was uh somebody who was very influential and had our friends as well in high places will will we be seeing some familiar faces at a breach gandhi hospital or perhaps will they be paying their respects at his residence later on well yes definitely because of the man that he was and the sort of you know the people that he was around with it is expected that several businessmen will definitely pay respects to him in person uh but that is expected most likely to be taking place at his residence in south mumbai right now we do know that he has three children he survived by three children and his wife what we're told is that some of them are inside the hospital right now even as we speak and after that as i was mentioning somewhere around 11 a.m or it could be even much before that that the mortal remains are taken to his residence in south mumbai there for some time it is expected that the who's who of the business industry as well as politicians too uh would be paying uh would be paying the tributes to mr jin jinwala so that is expected somewhere around 11 o'clock is what we are given to understand uh but even as i speak to you right now there are some family members inside the bridge candy hospital and yes somewhere before 11 a.m is when the mortal remains uh would be taken at least now for now even as i speak to you we have not seen any sort of prolific names coming in to pay their respects here at the hospital but in all likelihood that could be taking place sure herman stay with us do stay with us the news is just broken out and we also have a nigel de souza cnbc market imagine uh tell me about uh the kind of person that he was he is somebody who is so immensely quotable um everything we've read about him is just so witty and he always had all these golden tenets that uh so many that were even uh not so well versed in business found easy to follow well uh shilpa you know extremely heartbreaking news to wake up to today uh you know my gut early this morning when i heard the news was i was just hoping it wasn't true but you know unfortunately uh the big bull has left us and strength to his family uh you know and his loved ones as well it's a big loss uh for the stock market fraternity for the nation on the whole remember uh mr rakesh injured very very humble beginning you know he started with a very very small capital his his goal was to be eternally bullish on the indian market and that's something that really worked big time for him even his recent interview you know just around seven days or so ago when he said that he's bullish on india india will continue to prosper from year on well i've had a few interactions with him and he was a personality you know he was the personality he was the light of the party as well from the stock market perspective well he had some big investments which were multi multi-dollar in investments namely titan that was something that worked very very well for him uh you know large part of his portfolio constituted off of titan so that's one of the stocks that did very very well he was one of the initial investors in lupin as well and that as well worked big time for him uh remember he was uh you know he was someone who backed himself he could see things ahead of everyone else and besides the market as well something that i always admired about rakish is he always referred to his father uh you know he always said that my learning my number one hero was my father as well you know so uh from a stock market perspective he was known as the big bull the billion dollar person on the social uh front he was definitely the light of the party uh you know to take take to the doctor do stay with us
