all right guys crypto Kirk here with a quick video review of a crypto Exchange in Australia it's called coinpot Uh the URL is coinpot.co auu and I think it it's a great little tool when I first got into um buying cryptos and I wanted to start buying cryptos I was uh I guess it was suggested to me to go to coinbase which is one of the largest um one of the largest exchanges in America um but there's a couple of drawbacks one you can only buy a couple coins there I think you can only buy um Bitcoin Litecoin and um ethereum um and also it took a long time for the verification process so I was trying to get in when the ethereum was skyrocketing and uh I missed out on about $150 of that move because I it took over two weeks to get the coinbase account actually fully verified so while I was waiting I I did a search for Exchange in Australia and I found coinspot and coinspot um they got me verified in just I think it was about two days so you have to you know with most of these exchanges you're they're they're dealing with money laundering laws so you have to do things like sending you know photos of your ID front and back of your license they want to see a a photo of a recent utility bill and then one of the things that coinpot does is they actually someone physically Rings you and um they want to know a couple of things they want to know that you're not starting the account on behalf of someone else they want to know that you understand the um you know the risk that you're getting into and then basically they approve you on the spot the girl the girl who rang me she had a push button and boom she goes okay you can you can open your account now and uh and Away you go so it's an interesting platform a couple things I'll mention one is if you compare the prices on this platform versus other platforms you will tend to find that the the coins will be more EXP expensive on this platform so there's a little bit of a premium having said that when you go to sell the coin you're also going to get a premium here so in other words they're they sell they they cost more when you buy them here but you get more when you sell them here um so yeah it's kind of a kind of a trade-off one of the things again that I was I was trying to get in quickly so it made it very easy for me um to get in and to um get some money into the system and and buy the ethereum that I was trying to buy the other thing that's interesting is um they use a um what's called the poly payment system so if you're in Australia you can deposit Australian money directly from your bank account so when I go um deposit you can see that you know I've done some deposits here um th000 bucks 342 100 um I'm going to put in a number let's say I put in a number 100 bucks uh 100 bucks continue to deposit and what it does is it brings up the poly payment window okay so you have to choose which bank that your uh that your account is in and they have most of the big Australian banks are listed here you choose the account then you go do your login and basically through a secured um login it takes you straight to your account and you choose which account which bank account that you want to bring the money from and uh you transfer it it goes straight away now I was a bit leery at first but this is poly payments is um uh owned by the Australia Post I did some research it's completely legit I haven't had any trouble I've done three transfers and it's been no drama whatsoever um so that's how you get the money um into uh into coin spot um they're also doing lots of upgrades they've really upgraded the site quite a bit uh since I've been here the other thing they're doing is they're they're adding new coins um on a weekly basis so when you log in now it's quite cool it used to be just a static page here and to get your wallets you had to click on your wallets now and it shows your wallets here so you can see I've got some balances and some things playing around a little bit it shows you some recent movers so it's pulling in um and this is the the percentage increase or decrease and the prices on this exchange so on on the coin spot exchange comes down today shows you some popular coins that you might want to consider shows some new coins that they've added to the system and then it's also showing some movers so the the things that have moved up dig digibit has obviously had a big change in the last 24 hours and then you're also seeing the coins that are going um down negative or going in the red so the green versus the red so it's a really cool system the other thing I'll mention is they do have um an affiliate program and I've posted a couple of posts on uh on steemit and these are the people who've logged in you can see it hides their addresses from me so I don't know who these people are you can see what they've done I can see what they've invested um and then I get my percentage um they're doing a 25% I've made $454 um what in the last two weeks um and then just to show you how the affiliate program works they have a basically a description here they charge a 2% um flat rate on all um uh buys and sells okay and then I get 25% of that so this is an example they're saying if if in a given month one one of my Affiliated customers buys 5,000 ether uh buys 3,000 Litecoin and sells 9,000 in ether total fees for that month for them that they make is 340 I get 25% of that or I get $85 the good thing is you can see that you get the payments for the lifetime of the customer so that's pretty powerful um so the idea of course was to get out there and start doing what I'm doing now doing some videos doing some um um uh articles about it or whatever I'll show you all the coins that they currently have uh and again they're adding coins all the time uh there was only probably I don't know 15 coins when I first signed up two months ago and now you can see they've got all the big ones they're adding a bunch of the alt coins um and again they seem to be adding more uh on a weekly basis which is which is kind of cool so just remember again that you've also got this Arbitrage um potential where you you buy here and sell somewhere else oh the other thing about coinbase is that coinbase you cannot sell here in Australia okay so with coinbase yes I can sell Bitcoin and yes I can sell ethereum and I can that money goes back into my coinbase account but I cannot transfer cash out into the Australian bank account so what I can do is I can buy on coinbase and I can sell on coinbase and I can transfer the coins or sorry buy the coins on coinbase transfer the coins over to coinpot and then I can sell them here and then I can transfer the cash back into my bank account should I want to so really coinpot.co is a nice portal um for those of you that are based in Australia and um want to be able to move money in and out of your out of your bank account um now guys once again this is think at the moment so once again the coin spot guys seem to be up and running and I haven't had any of those dramas so get involved sign up and get started today
