hi YouTube community welcome to hash out this is Jim cow today I want to make a video in response to the first live broadcast by mr. Peter Schiff which took place last night it was Peter ship's first live broadcast on YouTube for those who are not familiar with Peter Schiff he is one of a handful of economists who actually put deeper predicted the oh nine and Oh 8 financial crisis and in my opinion my humble opinion I think Peter Schiff is one of the most brilliant economists out there even though many times his timing could be a little bit off especially you know too early he's been predicting a financial crisis for the past 10 10 years and it hasn't really materialized but I think he's just very early you know many of these visionaries whether you're talking about Peter Schiff or Jim Rogers one of their flaws is that they see things much earlier than the common folks like you like you and I and they voice their opinion and if it doesn't materialize within the timeframe that they predicted people would think that they are wrong I think they're right just timing us off but anyway Peter was not really a big fan of Bitcoin if you listen to his podcast which is you can find on YouTube he and almost every segment with commentary on Bitcoin and he's been deep developing this almost reputation among cryptocurrency communities now as a no pointer you know he's very pessimistic about the future of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general and he had several high profile debates on why bitcoin will not replace gold or US dollars as the reserve currency so he is not a big fan of Bitcoin but I think he's genuinely interested in the underlying technology of Bitcoin the decentralized technology because I think being a very smart guy he could tell that there's something going on in the decentralized space that reminded him of early 2019 90s you know when the.com the internet was just emerging and also the mid of 2000s you know where iPhone and these mobile internet devices just came out so Peter Schiff didn't bring a brilliant guy you know he could see he could see that there's a trend that's developing that's gonna shape our future in the next 10 to 20 years so I think generally he wants to know what he's missing you know why he doesn't get Bitcoin why he doesn't get deities and it's it's fair you know I think I think it's very humble of him to actually you know host a you know host his first live seminar on YouTube on the Bitcoin you know on the topic of Bitcoin and I joined in you know at nine o'clock last night when the seminar started but to tell the truth I think the forhead format was very chaotic and even Peter Schiff didn't realize how chaotic the the whole scene was there were over 4,000 attendees to the to go to the webinar and the people were just commenting left and right and you know the comments were just flying by and it was impossible for Peter Schiff to go through all the comments and you know let alone responding to some of them and when I look at some of the comments I see many of the comments were really unimaginative and very bland to be honest many people saying that well you know the value of Bitcoin realizing that no governments can take control of it if you don't want to confiscate your Bitcoin you know the government cannot just come in like they did with gold in 1933 um which is not true you know I think Peter responded to that saying that oh it's much easier to track Bitcoin down Tritan gold down you know because all the record of transaction if there is that you know there are block chains and cannot be changed forever so it's much easier for governments to track down a bit coin holder than a gold order with that said you know and there are many other comments about you know the superficialities of bitcoin you know saying that it is rare it is rare yes you know limited to 21 million coins but with the forking capability of the bitcoin blockchain you can you know the potential suppliers are limited and also peter had a really good point you know it's only the value that a commodity has that give it's that gives the rarity and credence you know you can have something that's rare like me if i payment painting you know it could be the only way in the world but if nobody wants it if nobody there's no intrinsic value in it measured by the market then it doesn't how rare it is it's not it's not gonna be valuable it's not gonna be useful and that's a very valid point so you know it comes back to my motivation of making today's video is to directly respond to peter shifts concern like his is yearning to to truly find out what makes Bitcoin so special why everybody's talking about it and in how this underlying technology which which you know i think in a better way of describing it instead of blocking of bitcoin it's the RT decentralized ledger technology how the RTS will change the way we do business and we live and your interact with one another in the future you know I I don't presume that you know this video will be seen by by Peter Schiff but it's just out there you know as a as a response to his question you know what's the value of Bitcoin in one sentence mr.
Schiff in my humble opinion the value of Bitcoin is that it established trust through the centralization when you think about Internet yes internet was able to transact to transfer data from one node to another seamlessly and at very low cost but there is no trustee cannot transact trust through Internet in fact we want to argue that with the advent of Internet there's less trust among people because you know there's so many scam scammers out there you know in on the internet but with the invention of Bitcoin for the first time in human history two parties who don't know each other who reside at two different locations on the globe can transact the value can send value to one another without going through a third party and that I believe is truly the intrinsic value that Bitcoin created this trust layer that resides on top of the Internet as we know it that whoever transact using the split coin network you don't need to know the other person you don't need to have a third party to validate the transaction but you can trust that your money or your asset can be transferred from your account to the other person's account without a trusted third party and that's in an in a nutshell is is the breakthrough of Bitcoin Bitcoin is only the first application of this decentralized ledger technology it just happens to be that you know the first application for DLT has to be money neither imagine that at the advent of internet you know 30 years ago the first application were emails you know the the brow of browsers for example and you know the it's right that these applications are what gives the internet value and just like Bitcoin and the thousands of our decentralized applications that would be built on these deities in the future other ones that will give value to the decentralized Internet and that's the thing that most people don't realize yet people are still thinking in the old paradigm which is in the Internet as we know it you know it's run by the conglomerates like Amazon and Google and Alibaba and WeChat and re pay but I believe that the future in my humble opinion is decentralized so in the future all these applications you know Twitter YouTube you know uber they will be wrong on a decentralized platform like you know like blockchain or I don't think blockchain is gonna meet that criteria because of the throughput the limitations I think the future is going to be decentralized just like in the 90s people had a hard time imagining that the future will be digitized and the early 2000s people had a hard time imagining that you know the digitalization will move on to the mobile Internet we increase the mobility that people have in accessing the Internet right now people also has a hard time to imagine a decentralized Internet where different parties can transact value with one another without have a trusting third party to give example uber you know it's a centralized application and to service this centralized application you have this central entity called uber residing you know headquartered in Silicon Valley and they have a server farm they have teams that develop and maintain the software and their services connect drivers with passengers and for the service they provide in connecting the the demand and the supply they take a 30 to 40 percent cut from the profit from the revenue actually and it's it's a very innovative model but it's very unfair because they neither provide the service nor did they provide the passengers you know the only access the middleman and what deity's enables in the future I believe is to you know for consumers and the service providers to bypass a centralized entity like uber and directly translatable one another now it's not feasible because there's no trust so how can a driver trust that he'll get paid for the service that you provide except through a central entity like uber and in terms of doing that he has to pay over 30% of his hard-earned money so that basically in a nutshell is what DLT does is to decentralize this trust amount mailings of nodes across the world so that no one node or no one entity whether it's a government or corporation or individual that can have the power to arbitrage or to dictate who gets what instead the the trust is decentralized among meaning some nodes and that's exactly what you know the value of a deity resides and I think Peter Schiff had a very good point saying that you know internet really itself has no value the value really comes with the network effect the people who use the Internet through applications like Google and Amazon and Yahoo the same thing with deities like hash hash crash itself doesn't have any value it's really just building different nodes trust the trust layer of the internet what gives this value is really the decentralized applications that we'll be building on top of hash graph and the meanings of people that were using these these decentralized applications and I think there's a huge demand for such decentralized space and Bitcoin is only the first taste you know it's the first taste of how this decentralized space is going to function in the future and that's why you know it's the movement that's hard for the establishment to contain because it derives from an innate need from the grassroot from average people like you and I it's not from elite you know the least they focus their attention on self-driving cars and AI and the space exploration but human you know average human human beings like like you and I we focus our ideas of a fair money a fairer competitive environment you know and that's really the neat innate need of the world right now and that's why I believe then the next technical revolution will be centered around the LTS like hash breath so I don't know how you know whether when I was cogent in my explanation of the value of Bitcoin and deities in general it's just my personal humble opinion and I don't know whether it's gonna be hurt by Peter Schiff but in case it reaches your ear mr.
Schiff you can you can reach me you know either DM me or email me at James cow JM ESG al-31 9 at gmail.com and I love to sit down you know over the way over the the web and talk with you for half an hour just about the potential of of this TLT space in the future that's all I have for today thank you so much for tuning in and I will see you on the next video
