has drastically changed his portfolio structure over the past four quarters it was a sector of choice in both queue for f522 and q1 a523 but in Q2 the software and services segment made up only seven percent of his portfolio the possible rational behind this could be muted growth expectations in the I.T space cachola has now turned towards chemicals petrochemicals and general industrial stocks in Q3 share prices of three of the top five Holdings in his portfolio fell in the past three months led by finitex chemical however this loss was sharply offset in its top two Holdings Safari industries from the textiles apparel and accessory segment and ID company and IIT gravita India which is a metals and Mining Company is in close competition with finitex chemical for the fifth spot 11 existing Holdings he also added States in four new companies and all these companies were from different sectors and in the small cap space in line with his diversification strategy the chemicals and petrochemical segments stand out here as four companies from this segment feature in the buy list cacholia continued to buy shares in chemicals and petrochemical companies like Agarwal industrial cop best Agro life and ESO Industries in Q3 he also increases stakes in pcbl which features in his top five Holdings while the Superstar added Superstar investor added or bought news takes in 15 different companies you old you only sold his Holdings in four he slashed his Stakes take to below one person in hdf himself and rainbow children's Medicare he also sold a significant number of shares in hiding their home Innovation and dealing let's look at another Superstar who invests in companies that appear underpriced by fundamental analysis Sunil singhania he invested through his company Abacus Asset Management I will refer to it as Abacus fund from here on Abacus friend has been cutting its take in the ID sector since q1 fy23 in Q3 the metals and Mining sector overtook the software and services sector and contributed the highest to the portfolio however singhania bet on two companies in the I.T sector Mass Tech and CMS info systems with a sharp sell-off in the I.T sector singhania could be eyeing firms that are undervalued in this space mastic and Road Mobile in particular which feature in the top 5 Holdings fell in the past quarter interestingly both these companies are from the software and services sector Jindal stainless Hisar from the metals and mining industry was a star performer rising over 50 percent in the past quarter this held Abacus funds Holdings to rise six percent in the past three months alone the top five Holdings contribute to around half of the fund's total holding value through his Abacus fund added stakes in nine existing Holdings and added investments in two companies CMS info systems and traction traction Technologies he also added stakes in two firms from the ID sector mastect and CMS info systems notably he had reduced his Holdings in these two companies in Q2 f523 other mentions in the buy list include ion exchange HD infra engineering and stylum industries a back is fun cut its take in three of its top five Holdings are stateless route mobile and hide by home Innovation and as its takes in the other two ion exchange and mastic the Superstar investor has also been reducing Holdings in the Anup engineering since q1 fi 23 a bat has fund decreased its Holdings in a total of six companies in Q3 let's now move on to the final Superstar investor InFocus dollyhatta her portfolio is managed by her husband Rajiv Khanna the strategy followed by this investor is quite different from what we saw with singhania more than the other investors discuss here getting in and out of a stock quickly as the investors as the markets were more volatile towards the end of Q3 Khanna sold her stakes in several companies she mainly invests in small cap stocks and has a concentrated portfolio both in terms of sector and stocks as a result the portfolio sector breakdown varies from quarter to quarter in Q3 oil and gas was a preferred sector as Dolly Khanna reduce takes in many companies the sector breakdown of her portfolio changed vastly from queue to fi23 contribution from the oil and gas sector nearly doubled to 35 percent into three while cement and construction sectors contribution fell five percentage points to 14 percent the top five companies in her portfolio make up 75 of a total holding value leading to a very concentrated portfolio added stakes in only three companies in Q3 National oxygen Monte Carlo Fashions and prakash pipes she has been increasing her stake in Plastic Products manufacturer prakash pipes since Q4 fi 22 the Superstar investor also added investments in Monte Carlo Fashions which contributes to around 14 of the total portfolio value has taken 18 Holdings she now holds less than one percent stake in seven or in seven of those companies the chemical and petrochemical sector stands out as Khanna reduce her stake to less than one percent in three funds in this sector Aries Agro Manali petrochemicals and share the crop so as we saw in the video These Superstar investors have varied interest and follow different investment philosophies that suit them one common Trend was that the superstars net worth of the of the superstars InFocus did not rise in Q3 after a Stella performance in Q2 fy23 this goes to show that consistent returns are hard to achieve be it for Superstar or retail investors you can find more information regarding the Superstar and many more
