Hello everyone, and welcome back to Crypto Day! I'm your host again, and today is Wednesday, October 29th. For anyone who missed the free workshop ticket giveaway last week, don't be discouraged just yet! We still have giveaways on our Facebook page, with nine prizes up for grabs. If you want to win tickets, go check it out!
Let's play some games! I'll post the details later. The link is below. Let's check out Bitcoin today.
At first, it looked like it was going to rebound. It was majestic and promising, but when it reached around $116,000, it was pushed down by selling pressure. The price is now around $111,000 to $112,000. It's still being pushed down, but it's holding around that level. The support level was there, and the market fluctuated up and down last night.
So, many people came in to buy into the market, over 140,000 people, worth over $547 million. That's a lot of money flowing into Bitcoin ETFs these days. The market is recovering. Blackrock's ETF has been bought for five consecutive days. Ark trades are smaller but still present, totaling $169 million, which isn't bad. The market is also recovering, with gains up from 50 to 51 percent.
Stand by again, because we have a date tonight. Same as always, one time. Uncle Jom will go hunting in Thailand.
Okay, we're back to meet the people again. This time, 99.9 percent of people are predicting a 0.25 percent interest rate cut. Don't disappoint your grandchildren, Uncle! Keep a close eye on what he says. What am I going to do with my life from now on? The next FOMC meeting is the final one this year, on December 10th. If they can lower interest rates again, that would be great.
Yesterday, when Uncle Trump told journalists that he had visited Japan, the news was that Uncle Powell will be replaced in a few months. He'll be out soon, and a new person will take his place. Instead, it was basically a statement made in the form of a threat toward the current chairman. He said that if they don't lower interest rates, Uncle Powell might be able to go babysit his grandchildren sooner than he thought.
The issues to watch out for aren't over yet. On October 30th, there's still the trade dispute with China, and we're going to talk about it. There's also a lockdown being held in South Korea, and the whole world is watching. It's the same story; I think it will have a happy ending. I hope both sides can end things well.
Okay, it looks like our crypto market will finally recover. We've covered the overall picture, so now let's look at our crypto news.
Some might be better off this time, considering the country's situation. Japan has already started issuing its first stablecoin pegged to the Japanese yen, by its citizens. The company issuing the coin is a fintech company in Tokyo called JPYC, and the stablecoin shares the same name as the company.
What will be released is a 1:1 peg with cash, following the stablecoin concept. It's backed by assets ranging from bank deposits to government bonds. In Japan, the company president, Noriyoshi Okabe, said that JPYC marks a turning point. It is considered a very important event in Japanese history. And to add, there are now seven companies that offer it. There is interest in using this coin in systems other than the existing ones.
The coin has been launched, but the company is still open. This platform is for posting and officially returning the coins as well. It is subject to the laws of the agency that first reviews it. This is to allow customers to transfer cash. For example, you can deposit stablecoins into your wallet via your bank account and then exchange them back.
Similarly, the company aims to issue coins with a total value of 10 trillion yen within the next three years, and also plans to build infrastructure. Regarding finances, something new will also be introduced to Japanese society through stablecoin technology soon. Japan's Financial Services Agency is also expanding its review of the rules that would allow banks to hold this kind of asset. Cryptocurrency can be called the crypto industry. Japan is definitely coming on strong. What will the future hold for them?
Next, let's look at Circle, the company that issues USDC, which officially announced the launch of its Layer 1 blockchain, Arc, on the public testnet. They've brought in leading global companies for this project. Arc is a collaboration with more than 100 leading companies from banks and financial markets, such as BlackRock, Visa, and Mastercard. As CEO Jeremy Allaire stated, these are currently leading companies. Protocols and various projects have also started to come in.
The system has been built and tested on the network. These companies will be able to reach billions of users worldwide, which leads to all sorts of transactions happening there, amounting to hundreds of trillions of dollars. Arc is designed to meet the needs of the financial sector specifically.
A key feature is that it's free to use USDC, and in the future it will support other stablecoins as well. Transaction confirmation speed is also fast; they claim it takes less than one second! And it also has privacy features. This is what allows the user to choose. It can be turned on and off as needed, supporting various uses: lending money, making cross-border payments, or even using it as an exchange point. You can also convert to different currencies.
Yes, and it also connects to wallets like MetaMask and the Fireblocks platform. These are service providers from seven countries, such as JPYC from Japan, which we just talked about, plus Brazil, Mexico, and the Philippines, for example. It's also been tested on the network. And the mainnet is launching next year. You could say they're going all out with Circle and this blockchain. We'll find out more later and see how the future turns out.
Just a quick update: I'm bringing in my friends to check out our old favorite. He reiterated that large-cap stocks helped push the Nasdaq index to a new all-time high, but Bitcoin is still about 10 percent below its all-time high. Furthermore, Strategy's stock has fallen over 48 percent from its all-time high. This means that Bitcoin's failure to reach a new all-time high, along with gold or tech stocks, is a signal that they're saying the stock bubble and Bitcoin are about to burst. Soon after, many people came out and said that if someone says something like that, counter it immediately. The shift indicator is working now.
