02. In this new video, it's a pleasure to be back with you today. Today I'm talking about Warren Buffett's ten golden rules. So without further ado, I'm going to share my screen with you now to talk about these ten golden rules from someone I find absolutely very inspiring and who truly helped me become a shareholder.

03. In fact, it was over a year and a half ago, based on what he said, and his success really inspired me. So, we're going to have ten golden rules in a few moments. Stay tuned until the end of this video; I'll have a little gift to give away at the end, so it would be a shame if you missed it.

04. First, who am I to talk to you about Warren Buffett? I'm an employee, an entrepreneur, a rentier, and a shareholder, and I'm all striving for success in this life. What interests me about this video is that I've researched Warren Buffett and have been thinking about him: what he is, what he has become, and how he managed to become so strong. I'm sharing with you what I found, and it's particularly close to my heart because he is one of the people who allowed me to make money through stock ownership, a world I knew absolutely nothing about. Thanks to the study I did on him, I managed to understand how he invested in the stock market, and I was able to embark on the adventure as well.

05. Warren Buffett is a man who is one of the richest on the planet. They say he is one of the richest billionaires, with 65 billion dollars in his bank account. His technique is very simple: he buys companies that are undervalued, with very long-term potential. He owns shares like Coca-Cola and Gillette, and I believe he owns the majority of shares in these two companies.

06. The phrase that really struck me during my time working in the stock market is: "If the stock market closed tomorrow, when would you buy the shares you're going to buy?" These are questions I ask myself a lot. When I have a new stock with high profit potential, that's what I'll buy, because I know it's a long-term investment. That's how he made his fortune, and that's how you really have to do it to earn properly.

07. So, Warren Buffett's first golden rule is to find your passion. He explains that he was very lucky in his life to find his passion right away: observing companies and predicting whether they would work or not. It's very easy to buy a stock, but there's a side that involves reflection and analysis beforehand, and that's what he loved. He would look at a company, whatever its activity, and ask himself: does this company fit with the world I live in, with the sociological behavior I see around me? Will I be able to progress and advance without having to start over? Since it was something he was passionate about, he had no difficulty embarking on it, because it was what he loved.

08. We talk about this in my videos when I cover the golden rules: we talk about passions, and it's truer than ever. If you're not currently doing a job you're passionate about, start practicing and try to make money doing what you're passionate about alongside your job. You don't quit the job you're not passionate about; you continue and try to develop the other one. It's going to be difficult, but it's worth it so you can truly live happily and enjoy life. As Warren Buffett said, the advantage now is like money automatically going into his bank account. He can read as much as he wants, and he can easily spend time with whomever he wants, and that's really something very pleasant in his life.

09. Warren Buffett's second golden rule is to hire well. Hiring very well is important. He doesn't care about diplomas; for him, they weren't a criterion of excellence. What's important to him is a person's motivation for the work. He actually listens to what people are saying to him. If they love the work so much that they'd be ready to work for him almost for free, and if he observes that, then he knows he can pay that person very well, because they won't do him any favors by default. They will take the plunge and be very motivated on the journey, and they will repay him fivefold. This is a really important point. I've seen hiring go wrong in the past, but when you hire well, it's absolutely wonderful, because you really see a change in a team that is pulled upwards, since they see that the investment is really very good.

10. Third golden rule: don't pay attention to what people say. Warren Buffett explains that there are actually many interferences. He also explains an extraordinary formula: performance equals potential, minus interference. The more interference you have in your life—people who say you can't do things, your own brain telling you that you can't do things—the more these interferences will affect you, and the further your performance can fall from your potential.

11. This is the rule I find most important: surround yourself with people who say good things about you and who truly mean them. This requires the ability to analyze and reflect on the people around you, the way they speak, and their influence on you. Consider the words they say. If the words they say diminish your potential and performance, then you need to get rid of those people.

12. Fourth point: for him, it's very important to read. He's always had a lot of time in his life, and he says that's how he progressed, becoming even more confident in his abilities. He reads all sorts of things, he goes to conferences, especially on specific topics, and that's how he continues to progress, stimulating his brain and understanding new perspectives and new ways to implement his businesses or his life so that he can be truly happy.

13. The fifth golden rule is a safety margin. Having a safety margin isn't being completely crazy; it's just knowing your limits, and maybe stopping just a little before sometimes, rather than surpassing yourself. In life, where there is a margin of safety, you have to be careful, and for him it's very important, especially when you're in the stock market: when you buy stocks and shares, always have a margin of safety.

14. When you try to launch into this adventure, you need a competitive advantage, which is important. That's also why he chose the companies that allowed him to achieve his success: he always managed to identify the competitive advantage that these companies had, and that gave them strong potential. He became an expert at observing the competitive advantages of others, in personal branding, in the way people present themselves and show their status, but also in companies. It's really important to be able to observe the people who have a competitive advantage. Is their competitive advantage ultimately a function of their expertise? Of their information? Of a relationship that gives them an edge over others? Or of their networks? Their networks allow them to have a competitive advantage that others cannot have. Another level is having privileged status, like being a president, a minister, a mayor, or a business leader, which allows them, as individuals or as companies, to modify the way the environment perceives them.

15. The seventh point is developing one's personality, which is somewhat linked to reading and meetings. To develop a personality, you have to work on three pillars. The first is building relationships, which allow you to develop your personality. The second is reading. The third is, let's say, networks, autobiographical films, and the things we see that will allow us to develop our personality. You also have to work on the reflection of this personality: how I see myself in the future, at a certain stage of my life, and how I will seek to develop it through work. For him, this is a truly important point.

16. The eighth golden rule of success concerns competition. He sees companies as competitors when you want to build capital. By default, companies are a capitalistic link where you don't care about the product or service, even if you're passionate. But you have to give it your all when you create your own business, and the company would very often be corrupted by your passion. It also means being able to earn money without intermediaries taking it, which is important when you're an employee. Being competitive means wanting to be at the very top, and that's a character trait that's really important to him. Secondly, having role models is crucial. He saw people when he was young who motivated him and influenced him. Today, for me, an influence is shareholders. I'm not absolutely crazy about the body he has, because I wouldn't want to be a multi-billionaire with his body. He was very happy that he drank five cans of Coca-Cola a day. However, I notice this model of success in the abilities he has. After observing a company's successes, he looks at the right indicators to know whether one company is more worth acquiring than another.

17. I find this an extraordinary model of success, and I invite you to look at models of success based on four pillars of life, which for me are: 1) having very good relationships around you that can inspire you; 2) having a physique you like, one that allows you to truly say, "Wow, that's a very beautiful physique"; 3) having an extraordinary mindset—not necessarily intelligence, but an extraordinary positive mindset—and a rhythm of life and routines that are truly inspiring; and 4) having a dominant role and having developed the infrastructure of companies that allow them to impact the world, and, thanks to this impact, to generate income. When you see these four models of success in different people, you can see that each success story is different.

18. We're going to spend time with people we can talk to or exchange ideas with, online or at conferences, and we're much faster.

19. The tenth is giving yourself unconditional love. We have to love people unconditionally. In the companies we choose for our shares, in the people we live with, in the physical exercises we want to do to lose weight, or in the books we read, we have to have unconditional love. I don't know anyone who reads a book that doesn't interest them at all, or for which they don't have a strong "why." And we don't know why we want to read a book if we don't have that love for it. It's very important, and this is a rule that comes up relatively often: unconditional love is often overlooked.

20. So, we've seen these ten golden rules. Now, a little gift. Stay in this video for a little while longer, because I'd like to share the golden rule that I like the most. For me, it's really the third rule: don't pay attention to what people say, because it's something that can really get to you. For years, I let myself be defined by the people I worked for as an employee, by the people around me, sometimes by my friends. Sorting through it, understanding that I had to filter all of that and think about why I perceived myself that way and what I might represent to them, has been really beneficial.

21. Which rule do you find most interesting for you today, now that you've watched this video? Before you leave, thank you for the time you've dedicated. I promised you a little gift for this video: subscribe to the YouTube channel so you don't miss it. The next videos will focus on improving your body, mind, relationships, and finances. I also invite you to download my free, exclusive guide and podcasts, which you can find in the description. There, I share winning daily habits for improving your body, mind, relationships, and finances—habits that are absolutely not secret, but that most people don't adopt.

22. That's the end of this video. Thank you so much for your time. Have a great rest of your day, and I'll see you soon for the next video. Bye!
