01. They are preparing for $30,000 gold . Not $5,000, not $10,000, but $30,000 per ounce. I know exactly how that sounds now. That sounds crazy. This looks like a headline designed to get you to click. I've been doing this for over 40 years. I sat in rooms with central bankers. I have watched three currency crises up close, not from a newspaper, but from a trading desk.

02. And I'm telling you, this situation that's happening right now is one of maybe four or five times in my entire television career where I've looked at the data and felt something close to fear, not excitement. Fear, because the people who actually manage the money in this world , the ones who don't give interviews, who don't tweet, who just quietly move billions, are already preparing for this.

03. And most ordinary people have absolutely no idea that this is happening. By the end of this video, you'll understand exactly why they do it, what it means for your savings, your retirement, your home, everything, and what you can actually do about it before it happens, not after. Before I continue, subscribe now.

04. I'm not going to pretend that this is just a favor to me. All I was going to tell you is, if you paid a real consultant for that kind of macro analysis, you would get a bill for thousands of dollars. I charged institutions for just such an analysis. You get it for free because I believe that ordinary people deserve to see what happens next before Wall Street explains it to them after the fact.

05. Next week I'll break down exactly how to protect your retirement account from what's coming, and you don't want to miss it. Every dominant currency in history died the same way. Let's start with something that most people never learned in school, because, frankly, it's not exactly flattering to the country that's in power.

06. Every dominant currency in history died the same way. Not from war, not from invasion, but from our own government. Rome devalued the silver in its coins until they were virtually worthless and no one trusted them anymore. The Spanish Empire flooded the world with silver from the New World, and their own currency collapsed under its weight within a century.

07. The British pound was the reserve currency of the entire planet for over a hundred years. Then, two world wars and a mountain of debt, it lost more than half of what it could buy, in about 30 years. I observed this pattern with my own eyes, not from a textbook. I traded in the early 80s when inflation was eating this country alive.

08. When the Federal Reserve had to raise interest rates to almost 20% to stop the bleeding. This was not an ancient story. It was a currency that almost lost the trust of the entire world. That's the thing about these crashes. They never feel dramatic when they happen. They feel slow. They feel as if prices are going up a little every year .

09. Your salary buys a little less. Your parents say things are more expensive than they used to be. By the time this becomes obvious to everyone, it is too late to do anything significant about it. Whenever this happened, the warning signs had been apparent for years. And the people who noticed them were called paranoid or dramatic, or told they were wasting a good time while everyone else's portfolios continued to grow.

10. Then one day, what they warned about actually happened, and suddenly everyone started acting as if no one could have predicted it. I sat across from people who experienced the British pound losing its status as the world's reserve currency, and they will tell you that it was not like one dramatic Tuesday.

11. It seemed like things slowly got worse over the course of a decade, getting a little more expensive, a little less certain, until one day the world just stopped treating the pound the way it used to. This is exactly the phase we are in now, not the crash, the slow part, the part where the people who are paying attention start to move quietly while everyone else keeps turning the page.

12. Who moves quietly? Central bank gold rush. So, who is moving quietly right now? Central banks. And I don't mean one or two, I mean dozens of them, buying gold at a rate we haven't seen in decades . China's central bank has been buying almost every month for almost two years straight, during a period of falling gold prices, during headlines declaring growth dead, during everything.

13. This is not a trader trying to catch a bounce. This is a government that decided it needed a different kind of asset stored in its vault, and it's not just China. Poland is replenishing its reserves, Turkey, Kazakhstan, India, even smaller countries that have almost never had significant gold reserves before, are suddenly becoming buyers for the first time in their history.

14. When I see a country doing something unusual, I pay attention to it. When I see 40 countries doing the same unusual thing at the same time, I stop everything else I'm doing and ask why. Why is it not difficult when you understand how these people think. Central banks are not trying to get rich quick.

15. They don't care for a good quarter. They think in decades, and sometimes generations. When people who manage money over a multi-year time frame start doing the same thing, they are telling you where they think the next 20 or 30 years are going. They tell you that they no longer fully trust paper promises, government bonds, foreign currency lying around in someone's stupid banking system that can be frozen or restricted with a single phone call.

16. Gold cannot be frozen. It cannot be printed. No one can authorize a bullion lying in your own vault. That's why it's the only asset whose value every government on earth can agree on, even when they disagree on almost everything else . Think about it this way. Imagine you found out that a group of the most experienced, most informed investors, people who manage huge sums of money and have access to information that you and I will never see, all quietly started buying the same asset month after month, regardless of whether the price was going up or down.

17. You wouldn't dismiss that. You would like to know what they knew that you didn't. Essentially, this is what is happening at the government level right now, but it is even more telling because central banks are by nature incredibly slow, cautious, and conservative institutions. They don't chase trends.

18. They don't buy things because they're interesting. When such an institution begins to behave with such consistency and such urgency, it is not speculation. This is preparation. There is another aspect that is completely ignored. Several major countries have begun actively withdrawing their physical gold reserves from foreign storage, including storage here in the United States, and bringing that gold home for storage in their own vaults.

19. These countries no longer feel entirely comfortable storing their reserves where another government could theoretically restrict access to them. This is not a minor technical detail. This is a signal of how much trust remains between major economies now. And the answer, if you read between the lines, is less than it used to be.

20. A debt that no one in Washington wants to talk about. Now let's talk about the part that no one in Washington wants to talk about out loud, because I'm going to say it out loud. The United States government owes more money than this country has ever owed in its entire history, and that debt is growing by billions of dollars every day, not every year, every day.

21. None of the political parties has a serious plan to slow this process down, let alone reverse it. No one on Capitol Hill runs on a platform of balancing the budget because the math required to do so would be so painful that no one would get re-elected doing so. So what is really happening? Historically, when a government owes more than it can realistically repay through taxes or spending cuts, it does not default, at least not in a country that controls its own currency.

22. It simply imperceptibly reduces the cost of the debt over time. He allows inflation to rise a little. It keeps interest rates below inflation for years in a row, which sounds boring. But in reality, it transfers wealth from anyone who has cash or bonds to anyone who has real physical assets. I lived through this in the 70s and early 80s, and I promise you it didn't feel like a crisis while it was unfolding.

23. It felt like your grocery bill was going up a little bit every month. It felt like your savings account was paying you interest that didn't show that it wasn't keeping up with prices. This is the silent tax that inflation imposes on ordinary savers , and it is the very mechanism that has always , throughout history, pushed money into gold.

24. Not because gold is exciting, but because gold doesn't care what any government promises. It simply stands and retains its value while paper promises erode.
