charlie monger charlie thomas munger is an american billionaire investor businessman and former real estate attorney he is vice chairman of berkshire hathaway the conglomerate controlled by warren buffett so that's why they say he is warren buffett's right-hand man so he is an investor with some experience so when he talks people listen because of his experience in the markets and as an investor which we have to respect i do believe you have to at least heed some of what you know the experience say now my thoughts my downright cohort thoughts all right so i do believe that as investors we are all at different points in our lives and we all have different goals when it comes to investing if i were a billionaire like charlie munger i could put billions millions of dollars in uh a dividend company a company that pays dividends and i would make a killing because i would be investing into a company that pays out dividends and if i want to make money off investing i could just invest in dividend companies and make a killing you know that's safe right i know i would get a return um i can invest into big name companies like google microsoft guarantee me my money because these companies are booming right there's a lot of places you know a billionaire can put their money that's low risk you know they are billionaires and they already have a nice sum of money so they are not going to be putting their money in something that's too high risk like penny stocks crypto at least just what i would think especially if you are older in age you don't want to be taking any unnecessary risks you're older you're an investor you probably don't want to take any risk because you want to hold on to what you already have acquired which is your billions or millions you know so i do think people are at a different people are at different stages when it comes to investing and age is a factor so you talking about a millionaire a billionaire let's say somebody just has a few thousand dollars all right and they're young they got they got a few thousand dollars in their young they can afford a couple losses because they're young they can't afford to learn from a few mistakes so they might all right it's my first time investing i might throw it in something that's a little more risky than you know um the typical safer stocks or investments because you're young and you kind of can learn from your mistakes if something goes wrong so i do believe this is why he slams crypto because he is at the stage where you know he's trying to hold on to his man warren buffett warren buffett is a beast like i said they have earned their right in the game but i'm pretty sure he doesn't make the same type of risky decisions or decisions that are too risky as he did when he was younger you know even if experience is one of the things that's behind them but still i think when you have time you might risk a little more because you have time and the potential for crypto to explode like everyone talks about crypto and saying it would explode that's what's worth the risk for several people out here because crypto it does look bright and promising as a new technology and you know the science and it makes sense it makes sense that you know things will go digital after a while so crypto looks appealing to a lot of people and we have different types of crypto crypto utility coins that actually control something like um helium it allows you to control wireless network and let other people jump on your wi-fi and hot spots and stuff like that a lot of different cryptos actually do something so when he says is worthless i disagree it's the same as like investing into a company that's promising and has a new technology almost with some of these cryptos so i wouldn't say they will they are worthless yep so like i said i believe that age is a factor here and the amount of money that someone has is a factor here yes crypto does look good to a lot of people a lot of younger people and the main reason is because you have the potential to like double triple and even 10 times your money which is something that was basically impossible from stocks unless you find that perfect penny stock you know so i do think crypto is appealing especially to us newer investors just because you have the potential to grow your money and it's proven people have made money off crypto people have become extremely wealthy off crypto right now the markets are down but it has happened so i wouldn't say that is worth nothing as charlie says so i disagree with him um but i understand the fear because if crypto does explode and you know as he was saying that for the government to have control of the money and things like that crypto would undermine the government people like him that is billion and millionaires yeah it would be a problem for them you know so i i i see where he's coming from but i don't think anyone that is trying to make money off crypto is evil they just trying to make it come up you know so yeah that's my thoughts i thought i'd talk about it for a minute let me know what you guys think because as i said i do think age is effective and you know
