I don't really care about my Bitcoin. I don't know much about it, and the DOJ, Coldstone, came out and said it's an illegal currency, against the laws of the United States. If you do it again, we'll put you in jail. It's over. It's just not a real thing, and eventually we'll be emperors, so close out, get rid of that Bitcoin. That was another famous comment you made, that it's a fraud. Now we see it, which I regret making.
How's it going, guys? Welcome to a brand new video. I hope you're all doing extremely well. Thank you, guys, a lot. We're closing in on the 500-subscriber mark, and I appreciate that from the bottom of my heart. Today's video is going to be somewhat short, because no one has really covered this, and I don't feel like going through the entire document. As I stated in my last video, I really don't like it when people read articles word for word. It's better to give a perspective on something rather than reading it word for word, because that just wastes time, and it makes videos bland. But again, all of this is my opinion, as you can tell from the title, the thumbnail, and the first few seconds of this video.
The video is going to be all about JP Morgan and something they recently published. By "recently," I mean they published it yesterday morning. If you've been keeping up with the news over the past few months, you know that the CEO of JP Morgan was not the biggest supporter of Bitcoin, unlike some other financial leaders in this world. He went as far as calling it a fraud. He said anybody who buys it is an impostor, and if he caught someone at his company trading Bitcoin, he would fire them immediately. He was a bit of an extremist about this. Now, I will give him credit: he did change his mind a few months ago. Opinions can be changed, as long as the proper facts are provided and the value in something is seen.
What I find a little strange is that the CEO went from calling it a fraud to the company publishing something called the "Bitcoin Bible." I'll leave a link down below so you can check out the article yourself. This so-called Holy Bible basically lists the pros and cons of Bitcoin, or cryptocurrency in general, as well as blockchain technology. It seems more bullish on all of this than bearish.
With them publishing this, I've concluded one major thing, and I'd love to know your opinions in the comment section below: financial institutions are becoming extremely scared. What happens when you get scared? You become extremely negative on whatever you're scared of. Perfect examples are banks banning the use of credit cards on Coinbase or for the purchase of other cryptocurrencies, JP Morgan calling Bitcoin a fraud, and Warren Buffett being extremely negative about Bitcoin. The other thing that can happen is that you actually adapt, so you're not late to the party, you don't miss the boat, so to speak. JP Morgan is a very clear example of that with this Bitcoin Bible.
Of course, this is a good thing for us, because it shows that financial institutions are finally understanding blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies. But it just makes them look bad. When you have an outburst like that in public, published across all news media outlets, and then you turn around and do this just a couple of months later, it makes you look stupid.
So the question I have for you guys is: how long do you think it will take before all the other financial institutions become full-on supporters of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency? JP Morgan doing this makes them look extremely hypocritical, considering the statements they made months earlier. But it's a very good step in the right direction, and it might open the eyes of other major institutions.
Thank you, guys, so much. I would love to know your opinions in the comments below. If you feel this video deserves a thumbs up, it will be much appreciated.
