so a friend of mine he sent me this text message and it was a screenshot it was a picture an MMS of uh a X poost or Twitter post or tweet by Peter Schiff and it was something in reference to Jamie Diamond JP Morgan Chas CEO nothing to worry about here folks he's just doing something he hasn't done in over 20 years and uh the uh Diamond family just needed a quick $135 million to you know going to sell their shares because even in these high inflationary times in this looming recession uh even multi-millionaires and billionaires need to liquidate and gain access to cash and honestly I don't really see it as a big problem but it does in my opinion somewhat underline a problem but really and truly if you think about it why think about it why would you ever sell stock because um you need to liquidate because you need money or because you um you buy low and you sell High okay so essentially I would sell because I think that I have reached the top and now would be the greatest time to make the most money on selling this stock and quite possibly having the ability of buying it again buying more again in the future at a lower price so you know uh if I can if I can withdraw if I can extract if I can liquidate 135 million from the from the market and then we Face a stock market crash and then I can put that 135 million back in and essentially buy up 27 70 million or more or who knows double your money double your position double your ownership then or at least in that instance cuz let's be honest here it's a small percentage of his total portfolio in regard to JP Morgan Chase so even he is exercising some caution in my opinion if he's selling because he thinks he could buy it back later for Less odd are he probably doesn't need the money unless maybe he does maybe he is onto and involved in some potential business venture or investment opportunity or will be in the very near future and wants to be liquid and ready to move and capitalize on that and again I don't see anything wrong with that uh if I know that it's going to rain then I'm not going to leave unless I want to get completely drenched and soaking wet and go outside into the elements without a rain jacket rain coat or and or an umbrella if I know it's going to be cold again I'm not going to leave and go out into the elements and brave these cold temperatures without putting on a hoodie or a Patagonia or something to keep me warm a you know a beanie a tobogan some gloves whatever it may be speaking of which today I am actually rocking my freedom lover hoodie that Steven Gardner sent me appreciate that homie but either way you know I'm seeing the headlines I'm seeing the stories I'm hearing what people are talking about I see what they're saying and it doesn't bother me in the least you know if anything it should bother people who if you think about it if in fact Jamie Diamond was in Dire Straits and needed the diamond family needed money then they had a fallback plan and uh a way to gain access to this capital in a relatively uh rapid turnaround whereas if maybe you're looking at it from a completely different perspective and you're saying to yourself well if I needed money I don't have anywhere to go to get it if it was an emergency or more than likely in this instance it was an opportunity so think about it like this if someone were to approach you and say hey for a million dollar you can buy into this opportunity today let's just say October 31 2023 or November 1 2023 whatever day you're watching this and for a million dollars you can buy into this opportunity and odds are over the next 5 to 10 years you're probably going to see a 10x return on your investment so in the next 5 to 10 years you would then receive in return $10 million off of a $1 million investment which if you really do the math and you think about it that ain't half bad really but you say to yourself well I don't have a million dollars to invest in this so sorry I guess I guess you're out now the beauty of a lot of Investments today in investment opportunities and brokerages and investment vehicles and it's fractional shares basically fr ction percentages of ownership that allow people to get in where it's like well I don't have a million but I got 100K well okay well you can buy in at a tenth of a percent uh or or 10% of the of the buy in for your ownership and then you know the other nine10 can be funded by somebody else but at least you still will then over the course of 5 to 10 years 10x your 100K which would ultimately produce a million now $100,000 return not bad think about it n let's see you can make $900,000 over 10 years then you know that's a pretty substantial salary for some people and all you had to do is put your money to work but a million dollars is a lot of money a lot of cash for some people to come up with so you got to think well if if you don't have a million all right well 100K and if you say well nope I can't I can't gain access to 100K either and they say all right well 10K $10,000 and you say yeah sorry I'm still out you know uh I'm not going to be able to get by in and uh invest in this opportunity okay well how about a th how about 1K and you know a g Grand and again you're like no I cannot I don't have anywhere to go to get it all right $100 and if the answer is still no then obviously you realize we're going down to $10 in these multiples of 10 increments here and then down to $1 and you got to think to yourself where do I fall in the hierarchy here in comparison to Jamie Diamond who's is approached and says hey we need $135 million investment and you're in and he goes done and then we work down the line to we just need a $1 investment and you're in and if you don't if you're saying to yourself I'm not in a position to liquidate anything to gain access to $1 then we need to have a completely different discussion and conversation about the bigger problems here that fall far beyond the banking system and just in general people's income earning opportunities their saving and their asset portfolio think about that
