what's going on guys it's kyle welcome to the stock goat youtube channel in today's video we're going to be covering the sofi stock we will also be comparing sofi to three other neo banks and compare the market caps and valuations to see if there is upside or downside on the sofa stock at these levels right now we will be listening to a small portion of kathy woods one hour interview last week where she covered why the market is so disconnected from reality for innovation growth stocks etc and guys i'm telling you right now i am not a kathy woods fanboy i currently own zero stocks that kathy woods owns but i'm telling you right now what she says gives me you know massive confidence that there is extreme upside in so far right now especially when i show you guys the data that i have covered from these other fintech companies and the valuations that they are priced at right now and if you find any of this information useful be sure to subscribe to the channel we will be keeping you updated daily on all the breaking news inside of the market be sure to smash the like button and don't forget to drop a comment i'm gonna be commenting back to all your questions let's get into the video all right guys this is the kathy woods interview that she did last week this is you know a pretty long interview but we're only gonna cover about one minute of this interview because i believe what she said was extremely important that there is massive upside and a lot of these growth stocks right now especially with the fintech market so let's listen to what she has to say um but what i would also say is if you look at the private markets and the valuation of innovation i mean truly disruptive innovation in the private markets it's multiples higher and sure you're having the odd down round because companies that we don't think are very innovative are are losing their valuations but if you look at others like block blockchain.com its valuation over the past year has tripled while coinbase in our portfolios is down 40 that makes no sense coinbase is a far better and well diversified company right and i would argue better managed company and this is up threefold in one year and coinbase is down 40 does that make any sense to you i think the private market has this more right than the public markets and the reason the public markets aren't uh efficient is they're not doing the research everyone is using a benchmark as a screen by definition s p 500 28 in tech we owe none of them we don't think those are the disruptive innovators so the people who are benchmark sensitive benchmark aware benchmark hugging are doing their research around the benchmark companies our companies for the most part are not in benchmarks not in the broad-based benchmarks all right guys now if you listen to what she has to say right there she is saying the private markets right now have it right and she is correct you know the multiples on those companies are absolutely insane right now because that market that private market is not touched by inflation or any of these you know rate hikes that market right now is living in fairy tale land while the open market right now is living in a disaster with this inflation news just hammering down valuations non-stop why do you think these private companies are not going to the market right now there's literally been barely any ipos or spec for 2022 that's because these companies don't want to go public and get their valuations ripped in half so right now you know the private market cannot be touched the valuations just continue to go up and up because they're getting priced for their growth they're not getting priced for inflation and priced in for rate hikes so that's exactly what she's saying right now okay the companies that she's in is not these you know legacy companies in the s p 500 you know we're talking tech stocks from you know 30 years ago we're talking google amazon apple these are companies that have been around for 20 to 30 years and they are pretty much what is moving the entire s p 500 and nasdaq while these companies that are reporting strong strong growth every single quarter are just continuing to get bashed and hammered because the nasdaq these indexes these benchmarks continue to go down and down look at the nasdaq i mean we corrected 22 percent so basically what she's saying once again the private markets have it right and the you know public market right now has it wrong and i'm gonna have to completely agree with what she's saying because all those companies that went public to the market are getting absolutely hammered and companies that have stayed private continue to go up so that's exactly what she said in that one minute a brief summary of the interview so what we're gonna do inside of this video is i'm gonna compare sofi to three other neo banks in the private market right now that have not gone public guys so take a look at this i went through all these companies to see you know which companies have the most users we're gonna be using revolt we're also going to be using chime and we're also going to be using monzo so let's just get started and you know see what happens by the end of the video guys you're going to get all this data put in front of you so you can just look over it with me when we compare valuations so i'm going to run through the data really quickly on all three of these companies so what is chime chime financial inc is an american financial technology company which provides free mobile banking services that are provided by the bancorp bank we can see they have 60 000 atms you can build credit uh overdraft up to 200.

chime is a tech company not a bank so very similar to sofi it sounds like you know that fintech you know online banking so we're just going to go through some of the numbers guys we're not going to go in depth on the companies we're just trying to get the valuations right now chime users right now is up to 12 million users guys this is massive user base okay these guys are growing extremely fast you can see here in 2020 chime had a valuation of 14 billion claims even a profitability we know that you know so far is also even a profitable as well but you can see just half a year later august 17 2021 china's valuation grew to 25 billion evaluation in the private markets fast forward an additional six months to january 21st 2022 uh chime now has a possible 40 billion valuation do you see what's happening in the private markets if you just stay private your valuation just continues to grow we have the data for chimes revenue right now because it's an unprofitable company just even a positive 80 million dollars 2018 200 million in 2019 600 million in 2020 and i believe the data for 2021 is right around 1 billion dollars so literally neck and neck with sofi on 2021 revenue take a look at this important article i found on forbes covering chime with fintech stocks down 40 this was literally two months ago chime delays its ipo why are they delaying the ipo they know that the current you know open market right now is not pricing in the fintech growth that they are valued at and they will get hammered if they go public to the market guys so right now there was a massive disconnect inside of the public market like kathy woods said why the private market just continues to skyrocket you're not going to see any ipos or spax go public until this market environment calms down and we see inflation peak the second company we're going to cover is monzo what is monso ltd online bank based in the united kingdom manzo was one of the earliest of a number of new app-based challenger banks in the uk another one of the online you know fintech companies manzo is a bank that makes life easier not hard we'll just click it real quick to see if we get a little bit of information hassle-free money management intelligence spending control and visibility tracking your expenses etc organize your life so very similar to sofa as well you can see here monzo currently has 5 million customers so i'm 1.5 million more customers than uh sofi so both of these companies chime and monzo have much more you know members than so fine we can see here monzo hits 4.5 billion valuation as revenue soar guys this is a pretty accurate you know evaluation guys this was literally just four months ago at the end of 2021.

we also have key revenue metrics guys we've got 2019 2021 this is in gbp which i believe is british pounds uh 1967 79 million i have the accurate uh you know million dollar u.s update at the end of the video we'll go over but this will be accurate to over a hundred million dollars in revenue for 2021.

and you can see monza reports 114 million annual loss so this is another unprofitable company as of last year just like chime i believe just even a positive so all these companies are non-profitable they're just growing extremely fast investing in growth and you can see here on crap the market valuation is updated as at the end of the year 4.5 million market cap and also the over 100 million in revenue for 2021 and we're gonna look at the last company which is revo another british financial technology company that offers banking services headquartered in london was founded in 2015 you can see here all things money pay and get paid hassle free and overspending with smart budgeting so very similar all these companies are very similar in the neo bank aspect revolt users are 15 million more than chime and monzo and sofi they have a massive user base right now revolt revenue grew 57 percent in 2020 we can see here the company reported 361 million in revenue so very strong growth in 2020 with 57 growth revo confirms a fresh 800 million in funding 33 billion valuation to supercharge its financial services guys this was updated about a half a year ago revolt losses almost doubled to 207 million i believe this is like british pounds or something so you guys can see all these companies are losing money as well but the valuations are skyrocketing in the private market and what is so fine guys we can see here so far is an american online personal finance company based in san francisco provides financial products including student loans auto loans mortgages personal loans credit cards the one stop shop is what sofi is known for so far has about 3.5 million members as of q4 2021 you can see here revenue has skyrocketed to 984 million in 2021.

all right guys we just ripped through all the data on those three private companies and also so far we can see chime has a market cap in the private markets right now of 40 billion dollars we can see the revenue for 2021 has grown to 1 billion so pretty much we're not going to be looking at the 2022 revenue because you know we don't have all the information because these private uh companies have not announced you know their guidance and stuff like that so we'll be looking off a price to sales multiple because that's the best metric to look at when a company is not profitable but growing very fast with revenue soaring so price to sales right now is 40 x with 12 million users in the private market that's a 40x multiple for 2021 revenue monto has a market cap valuation of 4.5 million 5 million users 2021 revenue 103 million price to sales 43x inside of the private market remember guys the beginning of the video why we covered what kathy woods is saying i believe that's the big reason why she continues to buy because these companies are disconnected from their growth that they are showing unlike the private markets revo right here has a market capitalization in the private market at 33 billion market cap that's absolutely insane 16 million users 2021 revenue i had to estimate because i could not get the 2021 revenue for revolt so i just gave them a blistering 70 growth you know just to say that they're growing extremely fast 623 million uh revenue estimate that's a price to sales of 52x inside of the private market so you can see these three companies in the private market i'm telling you right now what kathy woods is very important because that gives me more confidence to take advantage of these blistering discounts for fintech innovation guys companies like upstart companies like square so fine this video is not just about sofi guys it's just one of my favorite you know growth stocks right now because they are doing everything right and the market is not getting it correct because of this nasty inflation news that we continuously get and you have the fed just destroying companies with these bad headlines so guys market cap for sofi is 6 billion 3.5 million users but guys these are very very high paying targeted users guys so far has more revenue than pretty much every company on here with the lowest amount of users these companies have 16 million users 12 million users 5 million these are some high paying customers guys these 3.5 million so it's not always about users it's about targeted users and paying customers 1 billion in revenue for 2021 we have the 2022 revenue guidance of 1.5 billion but we're not going to use that price to sales multiple is 6x guys this is the only company not in the private market that's why you're getting a 6x multiple because it's on the public market right now with this disgusting environment that we're in destroying companies multiples guys 50 times sales 40 times sales 40 times sales guys we are priced at six times sales i can tell you right now in a normal environment if inflation was moderate right now at about you know two three four percent i believe our multiple would be much higher so what i'm gonna do is i'm gonna not price off the private market i'm gonna go off the private market split in half that's gonna give you a 20 price to sales multiple compared to all these companies 50 40 40.

we're gonna go with a 20x price to sales guys which is you know literally cut in half from the private markets which is still a 50 discount from what these companies are valued at right now so at 20 times sales on 1 billion in revenue that's going to give you a 20 billion market cap right now compared to the 6 billion market cap we're at right now so guys when you put in the 910 million outstanding shares so far's fair value would be around 22 dollars per share guys that's the private market split in half guys and we know they like to run up the valuations in the private market because it's fairy tale and there's no bad news there's no shorting there's no inflation news that can get your stock to go down that's why they continue to go up because those guys in those early seed rounds continue to make money so i'm going to split it in half that gives us a 20x multiple guys this stock is significantly undervalued even if you look at tip ranks guys our value is right around 15 in this nasty environment so i believe this is a very very comfortable uh price to sales multiple for me guys and there's a ton of upside of buying sofa right now in the seven dollar range because we've been absolutely beat down the bank earnings just did absolutely terrible they have 15 percent of their you know business insider rush we have no russian exposure for the sofi stock so guys you can see what kathy woods said in the beginning of this video is very very important because she is right and if you made it to the end of the video i want to say i really do appreciate it i enjoyed doing this video for you i believe the fintech market is going to continue to have amazing strong earnings for the years to come right now it's just a market environment that we've never been in you know in the past 40 years the highest inflation ever at over eight percent inflation will peak eventually when gas prices come down used car prices come down and the uh you know real estate market you know calms down a little bit we need the fed to continue to hike interest rates to slow down inflation as best as possible right now is a great time to take advantage on companies that are performing very strong on the earnings reports guys even though the earnings reports continue to sell off and you can see there is a disconnect from reality when you take a look at what you know kathy woods is saying she's been in the market for over 40 years and her stocks have been performing very well for the past five years she's just taking a big hit because those valuations got crushed you know when that inflation data started to come out you know months ago so remain patient and understand you need to read the company's fundamentals and see who is really driving the numbers and as you can see so fine has the lowest amount of users but the highest amount of revenue because the management team is very on point targeting that strong customer base that we need once again my name is kyle hope you have a great day
