Let's move on to Jim and finish with the study. One of the trickier parts of this whole data center business is the situation with the new open model that Nvidia is pushing, where all the different hyperscalers and other big companies can use cheaper Chinese models instead of, say, the Anthropic model.
Now I think Anthropic is a nonsensical train of thought. Anthropic is an incredible B2B software development company. You wouldn't sell it if it were public. But what's happening is that people are saying, " Come on, we need to be looking at open models now, and maybe not as concerned about cybersecurity as I thought." Does n't that explain some of the movement in Crowd's stock price?
Explains, and I know that Crowd and Palo Alto... Crowd was one of the first signatories. So I think cybersecurity companies are doing very well. I also want to say at this point: look, I know Nvidia is falling. I still own them, I do n't trade them. I think it's absurd, but I understand the reasons .
I think people feel they will have to turn to these reserves. They have the best balance sheet of any company in the world. If they want to use it that way, I think they can succeed. Especially because the government is also a kind of implicit guarantor in all of this. Our government, this government.
Yes. Because they don't want China to win. This is important. Let's not forget that this is also geopolitics. Very serious geopolitics. You know, Raimondo is the Minister of Commerce, who is in charge of a lot of what's going on , certainly in the case we were talking about. Yes. Let's not lose sight of the main point.
It's not...I don't know how much the government is going to make this year, but I think you might have to act quickly. Jim, get ready. There's still a busy week ahead. See you tonight . Eastern Time with CR X ETF. I wonder, on a day when over $900 million worth of shares were released from the market cap, why was it a good time to give investors the opportunity to bet against SpaceX?
Yes. So, first of all, I do n't think we call this a bet against, right? There is either a “bullish” or “bearish” scenario for a position. And now we are watching one of the most iconic IPOs hit the market. And what it's going through now is a price discovery, right? A lot is happening. This is a typical cycle for any type of IPO.
Usually, after a certain amount of hype, their shares fall, but now they are finding stability after the earnings report, and more importantly, thanks to additional forecasts not only for the end of the year, but also, of course, thanks to Elon's enthusiasm, who shares the company's plans for the next three to four years.
Regarding the positions we launched: we have LOFT, i.e. LFF, which allows the trader to implement a “bullish ” scenario and get double exposure to growth. In this case, LOFT D allows the same trader who has a “bearish” scenario to get double exposure to a possible decline. So if they want to, as you mentioned, play the decline or hedge that particular position, it allows them to do that.
Okay, explain to our viewers why you should choose an inverse ETF over traditional short selling. Yes, there are a few points here; for us it was creating a whole suite of products for the investment trader. As for SpaceX, I would also add Tesla, we have the largest ETF on Tesla stock. Traders who want to trade Tesla stock usually want to trade “ Elon Musk,” as we call it.
So, instead of a traditional short sale, an individual trader who might have to use leverage, which is limited or expensive to access, can do so through a simple tool—a single-ticker ETF. They can trade freely, quickly entering and exiting positions. Looking at the demand we saw with SpaceX, where everyone was trying to jump on the bandwagon, it seemed like at certain points price did n't even matter.
You mentioned that this tool aims for daily inverse returns. How important is the compounding effect for someone who holds an ETF for days or weeks rather than a single trading session? How do you see this tool being used? Marlin, Sam, that's a great question that really defines the purpose of these products, right?
They are designed for daily hedging or gaining exposure in one direction or another, and this is stated in their name. Therefore, we want to clearly communicate this to all traders and investors. They are not designed for long-term holding if you have a long-term investment horizon. They are designed for day traders.
That's why we often direct users to direction.com, with an emphasis on learning. Because, as you rightly noted, if the deal is done well and you want compound interest to work for you— say, 1% one day and another 1% the next—then the leverage is reset every day . But this works against you if the trade becomes unprofitable, especially if you were expecting a "bullish " trend.
Therefore, we want investors to be aware and understand exactly how these products work. Of course. So, it's like a hedging instrument. What do you see in terms of demand for ETFs related to Musk—both inverse and credit? What do you observe and how much has the situation changed since the appearance of SpaceX?
Yes, look, we continue to see an inflow of funds into both of our products. Both in LOFT and in the SpaceX-related options. Of course, this tool is still finding its place in terms of pricing. So volatility usually indicates that this is the weather for traders. This is a trading environment for those who want to build a strategy around this position.
The same goes for Tesla, right? This is still the main way to access Elon's assets. Of course , there is a lot of talk about a possible merger or purchase of SpaceX by Tesla. But we see investors moving into a new mode where trading setups are no longer the same as before. So we see more demand for income-oriented products as well.
For example, we offer such a product for Tesla. Nvidia's $500 billion AI funding changed everything. Nvidia may have just unveiled something more significant than just another AI partnership. The company works with the biggest names in global finance, including BlackRock, Blackstone, Apollo, KKR, Goldman Sachs, and Brookfield, to help fund over $500 billion in AI infrastructure development.
And here's what's important. It's not just Nvidia spending 500 billion of its own funds. The idea is to attract independent long-term capital and create a financial structure around AI infrastructure. Why is this important? Because Jensen Huang is making a much broader argument than just "we need more GPUs." He says that computing power itself is becoming an investment infrastructure asset.
, land, networks, and equipment. But now the computations inside this object can actually generate revenue, and believe me, AI infrastructure has three characteristics that investors are looking for. First, it's productive, sorry, it's productive, it generates revenue, and third, it can be potentially repurposed for other clients.
The last part is especially important. If one AI company stops using a particular data center, the infrastructure does not necessarily become useless. Another cloud provider, enterprise, or AI company could potentially use this capacity, and that’s what makes asset-backed financing possible. And now here's where things get even more interesting for Nvidia investors.
For years, one of the biggest questions surrounding Nvidia has been how long this AI infrastructure spending can last. But this announcement potentially adds another source of fuel instead of hyperscalers funding all construction directly from their balance sheets. The capital market can help with financing, and there is a huge amount of capital looking for productive assets.
The CEOs sitting at that table definitely don't sell lemonade. We are talking about some of the largest capital managers in the world. But there is an important nuance. This does not mean that $500 billion is guaranteed to be invested tomorrow. These are partnerships and financial initiatives . Not one check for 500 billion dollars.
And investors still have to answer the most important question . Will these calculations generate sufficient profit to justify the invested capital ? Demand remains extremely high right now, and data centers need more energy. AI companies want more compute power, hyperscalers continue to expand , and Nvidia's ecosystem gives its infrastructure a degree of flexibility that could make the underlying asset more useful for longer, but eventually supply will catch up with demand, and when that happens, investors will have to separate the winners from the companies that simply built too much capacity, which is why I think this announcement is more than just another bullish headline.
This is potentially the beginning of a new financial level around the AI economy . AI infrastructure is no longer seen simply as a technology. It is increasingly seen as an infrastructure capable of attracting debt, equity, and institutional capital. And if these models work, they wo n't just be selling shovels for the AI era.
