Today we're going to talk about a stock that has become one of the most polarizing, most talked about, and highly valued in the market, and that's Balanteer stock. In this video, we'll take a look at the latest announcement, talk about why the stock is getting so much attention, and then look at what it really takes for the parent company to reach a much higher price.
And then something strange that Michael Barry did also shocked investors. So, if you enjoyed the video, please give it a like below. And if you want to see more videos like this, be sure to subscribe. Palanteer is currently trading around 125, and shares are up 7.77% on the day. And we see that the P/E is still above 131.
And this is one of those stocks that the market continues to value, like hyper-growing artificial intelligence. And as I mentioned, Panta is still one of the most talked about stocks on the market because it has delivered one of the strangest performances in the large- cap tech space over the past four months.
Business is accelerating at a historic pace, while stocks have nearly halved. On March 26, Pantier shares were trading around $146. By May, they had risen to 156.5. Then by June 30, they fell to 116.67.67, down 25% in less than four weeks, before jumping above $120 in early July on the partnership with Nvidia and news of Trump's disclosures.
So, the stock is now down about 2,735 % year-to-date and trading 39% below its November peak. However, during the same period, the company reported the fastest revenue growth in its history. So there is a gap that makes Valente so constant. High- sales quarters continue to sell because the stock is ideally priced at about 80 times sales, and each piece simply supports existing expectations rather than creating potential for growth.
Meanwhile, bears like Jeff Blue note that even after a 40% price drop, Palanteer shares are still trading at a premium to most profitable software competitors, and there is speculation that human-made open AI could eventually replicate Palanteer's capabilities. Bull now argues that Palanteer's ontological mode gives it a 5- year advantage that no ALM can achieve.
Now the result is stocks where accelerating fundamentals and falling prices coexist. Now this is the purest expression of the large- cap trading of artificial intelligence software, which is for better and for worse. And what's most impressive about Palanteer right now is that the company has completely transformed its financial profile in just 5 years, transforming from a loss-making government contractor to a hyper-profitable artificial intelligence giant.
In 2021, Palanteer had annual revenue of $1.54 billion with a net loss of $520 million, meaning it lost approximately 34 cents for every dollar of revenue. Now fast forward to 2025 , and the company reported annual revenue of $4.475 billion, up 190% , while net income rose to $1.635 billion. Now the figure hovers above $2.15 billion.
The earnings per share trajectory shows the same story: from 0.27 cents per 27 shares in 2021 to 0.09 cents in 2023. Then 0.19 cents in 2024 and finally 0.63 cents in 2025. A triple increase of 3% in just 2 years. Meanwhile, free cash flow increased from $ 321 million in 2021 to $1.14 billion in 2024, a 255% increase, before continuing to decline to around $4.4 billion in 2026.
Revenue growth over this period actually accelerated from 23.6% in 2022 to 16.7% in 2023. Then to 28.8% in 2024 and 56.2% in 2025, before reaching an impressive 85% in the first quarter of 2026. So, in 5 years, the parent company has gone from a controversial and profitable data processing company to one of the most profitable and fastest-growing enterprise software companies in history, with zero debt, $8 billion in cash, and a commercial business that grew 133% year-over-year in Chuan alone.
It is this 5- year metamorphosis that makes this step so extraordinary. One of the things that really impresses me about Palanteer is the scale of its financial transformation over the past decade. This is a company that went from a loss-making government-dependent contractor in 2016 to one of the fastest-growing and most profitable enterprise software companies in history by 2026.
And during 2016, Parenta received approximately 600 million in annual revenue and has never made a profit, despite operating for over 13 years. Income growth has been inconsistent and slow. It reached 595 million in 2018 , before rising to 743 million in 2019 and 1.09 billion in 2020. So, here are his direct listings.
But the post- IPO trajectory is where the story becomes extraordinary. Revenue grew by 1.54 billion in 2021 to 4.48 billion in 2025, almost tripling the figure in just 4 years. So, even more impressive is the explosive growth in profitability, as the company went from losing money for almost two decades to net income of $1.6363 billion in 2025, with net profitability increasing from almost 0 to 36% in 2025 and to 43.7% by the first quarter of 2026 .
So, in short , Parent's 10-year journey is one of those businesses that spent the first 17 years building a defensive regime, then switched to something new and became a profit-generating machine, while accelerating revenue growth from 17 % in 2023 to 85% in 2026. Now, if you have benefited from the analysis so far, please like, share, and subscribe.
This means a lot to me, and I sincerely thank those who comment and review. The path of the stock price over the same period has been quite dramatic, reflecting the maximum change in perception of this transformation. Given that Planter went public in September 2020 at a reference price of $7.25, closing the first day of trading at $ 9.5, and now, in a few months, the shares have risen to almost $39, which is 250% more than in 100 days.
Then a sharp correction began. By December 2022, the stock had fallen to an all-time low of 5.92, down 85% from its early 2021 peak. Now, with 22 years of significant momentum behind maximum skepticism, the market doubted whether the parent company would ever be able to turn its government contracts into sustainable commercial growth and profitability.
But the turnaround was swift and historic. The stock rose 167% in 2023, then 340% in 2024, and another 135% in 2025, reaching an all-time high of 207 in November 2025. So by mid- 2026, even after a 36- year decline, the stock was still trading around $126, about 20 times higher than the 2022 low and almost 13 times higher than the IPO reference price.
So, we see that over the past 5 years, Pente has provided a total return of over 43%. And now the question everyone wants to know is what it takes for the parent company to continue moving up from here. So the next logical catalyst will be future earnings, expected in August. So, given the forecast, massive growth is likely to lead to strong results again.
But this is where the valuation debate still gets very interesting with the popular narrative that the parent company is overvalued. So, we need to know that the parent company continues to win despite the hype around Wall Street analysts who reacted positively to these events, and Bank of America responded with a rating, and we see that the parent company's stock has a moderate consensus rating of "buy" based on 13 ratings to 5 "hold" and 2 to sell.
So, despite the high valuation multiples that have historically driven volatility, the market is increasingly focusing on the company's accelerating fundamentals, which include accelerating year- over-year revenue growth and exceptionally strong profitability. So this shift in focus is driving the current strong upward trajectory.
So personally, I believe the growth trajectory is undeniable and the aviation platform is gaining traction with government and commercial pipelines becoming stronger than ever. So what do you think? So before I close , Michael Barry, fortunately or unfortunately, I don't know, has trimmed his short position on the parent company, a move that comes after previous bearish bets on the stock that have weighed on sentiment in recent months. So, we're seeing a significant improvement in investor sentiment, especially among people like Michael Barry and others, and we're also seeing market participants shift capital from AI semiconductor companies to AI software developers.
So what do you think about these recent developments, and please take care of them?
