01. Hi Everyone, there are 15 to 20 investors in India who have earned more than 1000 crores by investing in the stock market. In this video series, I will explain to you how the well-known Vijay Kedia, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, Dolly Khanna, Radhakrishna Damani and others select stocks, and what the secret strategy behind their stock picking is.

02. However, in this video we are going to discuss four points specifically. In the first point, how can you easily find out which investor has invested in which stocks? In the second point, which stocks are big investors buying and selling in recent quarters? In the third point, it is better to have a basic ROE of more than 15% and an ROC of more than 20%. In this way we learn fundamental analysis, but why do big investors buy companies with negative ROE? And finally, in the fourth point, what is the most common buying and selling pattern followed by big investors? I am going to discuss all of these in this video.

03. So if you want free information to know where these big investors are investing, you can use trendlyne.com. You will see the spelling on the screen. If you search for trendlyne.com on Google and click on the "Superstars" that appear above, you will automatically see the portfolios of big investors like Radhakrishna Damani, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, Mukul Agarwal, Akash Bhansali, as well as Vijay Kedia and Porinju Veliyath.

04. For example, let's look at the portfolio of Vijay Kedia, who is known to many people. I see Vijay Kishanlal Kedia here, so I'm clicking on that. After clicking, Vijay Kedia's portfolio opens. In a table here we can see which stocks he is investing in and what percentage he is investing.

05. In our second point, we can not only look at these stocks but also observe whether they have been buying or selling in recent quarters. To understand this, if a row is green it means buying, if it is red it means selling, and if it is plain white it is probably being held as is.

06. But what you need to know is that generally we only learn when they buy more than 1% of a company. If they buy less than 1% of a particular company, no one will know about it. In this table we can also find where the largest amount has been put and where the smallest amount has been put. For this, we can simply click the "Holding Value" column shown above and select highest or lowest. Depending on this, we can slowly move down from the stock they invested in the most.

07. We can easily observe not only Vijay Kedia's portfolio but anyone's portfolio, such as Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, who is even more famous. Simply click the superstars appearing at the top. And if you want to focus more on the stocks these big investors have been buying recently, click the "Recently" button in the table. That means the stocks shown in green here are the ones these big investors bought in the recent time frame, and the ones shown in red are the ones they sold in the recent time frame.

08. Next, let's move to our third point. For this, I am opening Porinju Veliyath's portfolio. When I recently observed this portfolio, he had invested in a company called Enax Digital. Actually, this is not the first time I've looked at it, but he has recently bought more shares. So I went online and searched for the company shares of this Enax Digital.

09. When I search like this and observe, many people learn at the basic level that ROE should be 15%, ROCE should be 20%, the company should be profitable, profits should be increasing, and so on. But when I observe this company, its revenues are increasing but it is not profitable; it is loss-making. In fact, this company's ROE also looks negative to me. And even when I look at the last 10 years' chart, there is no growth in this stock. Yet if we go to this company's investor data, Porinju Veliyath continues to hold a public shareholding in it. However, I am not actually giving any suggestion to buy or sell this stock.

10. Otherwise, we learn things like ROE, ROCE, debt-to-equity, and profit growth at a basic level, but there is something else we need to look at. Big investors do not follow only this pattern. I'm giving this explanation so you understand that they are looking at something else. Usually, big investors like these study the business itself to analyze the company's growth. When anyone—you, me, or someone like Vijay Kedia—wants to analyze a business, we can find all the data we need very easily and transparently in the annual reports. If we click "Documents" on the usual screener sites, we can view and download the company's annual reports year by year. We can understand them easily using AI. I will explain this in further videos.

11. However, in the fourth point of this video, I said I observed a common pattern. Let's discuss what the buying pattern of big investors looks like and what the selling pattern looks like. I am opening Vijay Kedia's portfolio so you can understand it. I have been tracking a company called Affordable Robotics, which you see in this portfolio, for many years. Not only that business's growth, but I also observed when Vijay Kedia bought and sold shares in Affordable Robotics. Let me show you a short demo to help you understand.

12. If I open the last 10 years' chart of Affordable Robotics and go to the investor data, and click the public investors listed below, we see that Vijay Kedia has been selling this share since September 2023. But I want yearly data, so I'm clicking "Yearly." Here we see Vijay Kedia holding up to 10% in this company in 2019 and 2020, growing to 13% in 2021, and increasing further to 14% in 2022. If I look at the price chart, his investment was around 100 levels. When the stock came to market through an IPO, it may have been around that range, or he may have bought it pre-IPO before that.

13. But somehow in 2019 the stock started falling continuously from 100. By March 2020 it had reached almost 50, meaning the money he invested had decreased by 50%. However, when Vijay Kedia's stock fell from 100 to 50, that is, when it dropped 50%, no new buying was done in that company. Similarly, if we observe further, in 2020 the market kept falling and dropped to ₹20, meaning an 80% fall. Even then he didn't add to it. They started investing after the market recovery began in 2021 and continued to grow in 2022. By March 2021 the share was back to around ₹90. It continued to rise, crossing ₹100 and reaching the 120 and 130 levels.

14. So when we observe the investor data, he added new shares in 2021 and 2022. That means he made fresh purchases again after the stock reached all-time highs. He didn't buy because he thought the market would take it down, or because it would be available at a 50% to 80% discount. Only after those shares recovered and reached all-time highs did he make fresh purchases again.

15. After these fresh purchases, the stock rallied about four to five times. After that rally, they started selling the company's shares from 2023 to 2024, and in fact they are still booking profits on it through 2026. In 2023 the share price is between 600 and 800. Their buying price was in the 100 range, while the selling price is between 600 and 800. So here they earned 6 to 8 times returns.

16. I have seen Vijay Kedia follow a similar pattern in multiple stocks. What I think is that if Vijay Kedia had seen the price and valuations, he would not have followed this exit or entry pattern; he would definitely be looking at valuations. In fact, this company's revenue and profit increased significantly in 2023 and 2024. But perhaps Vijay Kedia did not expect growth to continue at that pace, which is why he might have exited. And luckily, that exit helped him, because we continue to see the company's revenues and profits clearly falling in the following years. So clearly, Vijay Kedia analyzes future business prospects when investing or exiting.

17. Next, I'm opening Dolly Khanna's portfolio to explain a similar case. Here I tracked the entry and exit of shares in Prakash Pipes. I'll show you the details. Just as Vijay Kedia booked profits in Affordable Robotics, I saw a similar pattern in Prakash Pipes. If I open Prakash Pipes on screen and observe the last 10 years' chart, Prakash Pipes rose from the ₹100 level to ₹600 and then reversed, and is now in the 200 to 300 range. According to the investor data, he started entering this stock earlier than Dolly, in 2022. They continued buying in 2023, 2024, and 2025, and then booked profits in 2025.

18. If I open Prakash Pipes' all-time chart, we see his first entry in 2022. At that time the stock was near all-time highs, around 170–180. So here we understand that Vijay Kedia and Dolly Khanna tend to enter shares at all-time highs more often than usual. And the shares didn't rally immediately after they bought. They consolidated there for one year and two years. The rally started only after that, and as the rally continued, they kept making fresh purchases. Then, when the rally stops, I'll do fundamental analysis again. If you compare the rally in the stock with the growth in its fundamentals and think it's overvalued, or if you feel growth will stop, then you exit those companies.

19. Specifically in Prakash Pipes, if I observe, the company's profits started falling from 2025 onwards. Here too, they exit whenever profit growth stops and starts to decline—just like Dolly Khanna. I observed the same pattern with Vijay Kedia as well. So what is the common thread in this pattern? They have already selected the stock based on some fundamental analysis. But they don't buy when stocks are falling; they buy when they rise and reach all-time highs. After buying, they hold as long as the company's profits continue to grow. But when profits start to reverse and fall, they exit. And at the same time, if we look at valuations or entry levels, the stock has typically risen between three and six times.

20. However, it is not true that all these big investors follow the exact same formula; they may use a variety of methods. This is just one of them. But by now you should have understood from this video that we can easily find out which stocks big investors are buying and which ones they have been buying recently. What else you need to know is what kind of fundamental analysis they use for stock picking, what kind of business prospects they study, and how we can collect information from free reports using AI and the latest technology. We will learn all of these in the next videos. If you have any doubts about this video, you can ask in the comment section below. And if you find this video informative, please like and subscribe.
