Hello friends, in today's analysis we are going to discuss a name which has become synonymous with the history of the Indian stock market. In August 2026, it will be exactly 4 years since the death of this legendary investor. But do you know that even after so many years, his influence on Dalal Street remains the same even today.

So let's decode his amazing journey with all the excitement and respect. Just look at this number, only ₹5000. In today's time, you might think that this is a very small amount. Isn't it? But in 1985, when a young CA started his investment journey, this was the total amount of capital he had in his pocket.

That extraordinary journey from a very ordinary beginning to reaching the very pinnacle of the stock market started with just this small number. Let us now understand this in a little more depth. The world may have called him the Big Bull of Dalal Street or India's Warren Biffy , but his biggest investment was not in any one company.

His biggest bet was on India's economy itself. His vision was absolutely clear. India's best days are yet to come. Part One The Big Bull begins. So this story begins in Hyderabad in 1960. His father was an Income Tax Officer. Now, obviously, discussions about the market took place at home and this is where questions started arising in his young mind.

After all, how do stock prices rise? How does market sentiment work? This great curiosity led him to become a Chartered Accountant from Sydenham College and then in 1985 he took his first step into the market. Now look at this figure. 5.8 billion. What started with just $5,000 in 1985 had grown to a massive net worth of $5.8 billion by the time of his death, according to Forbes estimates.

This result really seems no less than a miracle. But the truth is, friends, this was no overnight success. Part Two: Methodology and Success. After all, how did he achieve this position? See, his biggest talent was to sense future business models well in advance. Tata Group company Titan is the best example of this.

His long-term investment in this watch and jewellery business became the most valuable part of his portfolio. He did n't just buy shares. He used to invest in the future of the business and this thing shows us a huge difference. What normally happens is that when the market falls, people panic and follow the crowd and start selling everything.

But his reaction was completely opposite. In a panicky environment, he would look for opportunities and ask himself what next? It was this strong discipline and strong faith that set him apart from the rest of the world. Part Three: Akasa Air jumps ahead of stock. In his final days, he proved that he was more than just a stock trader.

When he decided to start a new airline in a very difficult and challenging sector like aviation, many people raised questions. But for him, risk did not mean blindly gambling. For him, risk meant getting involved in something whose outcome was not certain and he was fully prepared for any outcome. August 7, 2022 is the day when Akasa Air 's first commercial flight took off from Mumbai to Ahmedabad.

Despite being seriously ill, he witnessed this historic moment on a wheelchair. But who knew that destiny had something else in store. Exactly a week after this launch, on August 14, he breathed his last at the age of 62. The void created in the Indian business world by his sudden demise is almost impossible to fill.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself paid tribute to him, saying that he was full of indomitable spirit and extremely optimistic about India's progress. These words show that his stature was much bigger than the stock market. Part Four Five Golden Lessons for Investors. So now the question is what can you and I learn from his great journey ?

Let's look at five of his golden lessons. The first rule is to always sleep for a long time. These stories of becoming rich overnight are just a myth. It takes a lot of patience and time to earn real wealth and grow your business. The second lesson is to understand market fears and emotions. Learn to question high valuations when the market is running wildly.

And when there is panic everywhere, recognize those great businesses that are available for a pittance. The third important principle is that if you want big opportunities, you will have to take risks. But remember, a good investor always knows where to take risk, how much to take and most importantly, how to get out if the calculation goes wrong?

Fourth lesson: Build your own conviction. Never invest money blindly based on hearsay or tips. Go do your own research. Read the numbers and create your own investment strategy. And fifth, perhaps his favourite lesson, is to believe in the India story. His faith in India's consumer market, its entrepreneurs and the country's long-term economic growth was as unwavering as a rock.

Let's see how it all comes together to create a master class. This playbook of The Big Bull gives us a very powerful mindset. Think big, be patient, take calculated risks. Trust your research and most importantly, believe in the future. Part Five The Enduring India Story. See, if it is the stock market then it will keep going up and down.

New companies will come and old ones will go away. But a legacy like Rakesh Jhunjhunwale's is etched in the pages of history forever. Finally, the thing to think about is how you and I can apply Big Bull's unwavering faith in India's bright future to the new opportunities of tomorrow. Please do consider this. Our heartfelt tribute to that great personality. Om Shanti.
