The the the billionaire hedge fund manager from Citadel said that he would be open to running for public office. Okay? And guys, I'm going to tell you something. If you think the markets are bent towards the 1enters now, could you imagine how bent.
The markets and the rules and the regulations would go in their favor if Ken Griffin held some national office that gave him power to vote on legislation that affected the financial markets. Okay? If anybody has benefited from donating millions of dollars to politicians, it is Ken Griffin. In my opinion, and if he runs for office, I'm not telling you to vote for Ken Griffin or not vote for Ken Gri for Ken Griffin.
You have to do your own research and decide if Ken Griffin as a senator or congressman or president of the United States. If you guys think that would be great for the United States of America, do you think that would be great for the US economy? Me personally, I believe that there is a lot of shenanigans going on in the United States stock market.
I think that Citadel plays a major role in a lot of those shenanigans with their shares sold not yet purchased, with their payment for order flow, with the the FTDs, with trading ahead of retail investors. I mean, the list goes on. And anybody that's paying attention knows that Citadel has been fined multiple times over the last 20 years for violating the rules and regulations of the United States stock market.
But did Ken Griffin or Citadel ever lose their license to trade, their license to participate in the markets? No, they did not. And the fines are so tiny that they don't even act as a deterrent. So if you guys think the fines were small when Ken Griffin wasn't a politician, imagine how small those fines would be, if any, if any, if Ken Griffin ever held national office.
Bottom line is this. I believe Citadel is bad for the United States stock market. I believe Citadel is bad for retail investors all around the globe. And I believe that they have been getting a free pass from our government for too long. Nobody could have a driver's license with the amount of fines that Ken Griffin has for Citadel and still be allowed to drive legally in the United States of America.
Yet somehow these guys who move trillions of dollars, what I believe is a lot more dangerous, a lot more dangerous to our to our national security, a lot more dangerous to our economy, a lot more dangerous to global finance, are allowed to engage in all kind of questionable and possibly criminal activity with no real consequences.
And Ken Griffin in a national public office, in my opinion, would make the situation a whole lot worse. Anyway, please leave some comments. Tell me what you think.
