01. yeah i i i don't know if you want to keep going on this uh we tend not to invest in binary but we do think in the uh that there are incredible opportunities throughout the healthcare space because of the convergence of three technologies what's up psychedelic investors my name is james and you're watching the psychedelic investor your number one news source for psychedelic stocks and everything mind med in today's very exciting episode we're gonna cover some comments made by kathy wood about the psychedelic medicine space and as you can tell from the top of this episode the little clip we put her comments were quite dismissive of it but nevertheless the fact that she was asked the question is very exciting so in this episode we're going to play you the entire clip uh which which has uh kevin o'leary first talking about mind medicine how exciting it is and then it passes over to to kathy wood who gives her dismissive comments before we show you the entire clip i just want to give you a quick rundown of what this conference was so it was a conference run by cboe global markets and it was played on cboe.com and you could sign up to go and watch it and there was a conference with three people kathy wood of arc invest who is of course a goat of investing her base investing philosophy very much aligns with mine and to sum it up in very simplistic terms it's basically invest in the future that you want to see invest in future technologies which are going to overtake the world which is what i have been doing since i started investing and i actually have quite a large stake in different arc invest portfolios but yeah so this conference was between kathy wood of arkhanvest kevin o'leary of o'leary or of oh shares rather and also he is an early investor in mind mad and of course is very famous for his uh for his roles on dragon's den and sharks tank and then there was also a guy named jan van eck of vanek etfs in this conference and again it was run by cboe.com and i just wanna before we get into it give a huge shout out to the members of the mind medicine investors club reddit page as well as the shroom stocks reddit page as soon as we found out this morning that kathy wood was going to be talking at the same event as kevin o'leary we've really mobilized to ensure that a question was asked on this conference about psychedelic medicines because of course kevin o'leary is invested in psychedelic medicines so as soon as this interview was live there was some discussion on these pages and i'll just throw up something that i put in a couple of the groups on the screen right now and i was just asking people to go sign up watch the video and everybody comment uh asking kathy wood what she thinks about psychedelic medicines so huge shout out to all of you guys you made this possible you got this question asked to her and it really shows the power of reddit so again huge shout out to you guys so without further ado we're going to play the clip the interviewer asks what they think about psychedelic medicines then uh kevin o'leary really takes over talks at mind med and then and then kathy woods gives her dismissive remarks so everybody enjoy the clip we're getting some other questions with regard to another um investment strategy uh in in terms of like what's referenced as psychedelic or um i just i i had to highlight it here just because there's so many questions that are coming in any anyone want to shout out on this on this particular sector i'm a big investor in this space it's very controversial as you know these are schedule 1 narcotics psychedelics mdam 18 and c all these different molecules going into fight into trials the companies that are successful raising capital are the ones that are not offering any form of recreational drug at the outcome of their trials they're going under the standard fda protocol to develop these and prove them as medicines mind mad is the one i've chosen simply because in mitigating my risk they have the most trials with the most molecules junior pharma companies are a bone yard for investors the outcomes are binary you put up capital you wait seven eight years to find out if in fact the medicine makes it through trials you don't know the outcome you won't be any different for psychedelics but the one exception that got me on board here was a ceo of mine named jr who basically walked me through his premise that there hasn't been a new drug for mental illness in 35 years and as a result we try and treat people by drugging more in opioid addiction and anxiety and many other complexities and there's a lot of promise that microdosing lsd and other drugs might solve for these problems with included therapies that sounds like a pretty compelling argument to invest and indeed last year my med was at 800 return for me it's a public company it's on the otc and the company has announced its intentions to list on nasdaq who knows when that'll happen but the bottom line is they have the most trials the most molecules and that's the way i believe you have to gain risk but i warn investors this is binary one zero you don't know so you have to allocate appropriately yet the outcome is so stratospherically fantastic if they bring a medicine it's worth taking some risk yeah i i i don't know if you want to keep going on this uh we tend not to invest in binary but we do think in the uh that there are incredible opportunities throughout the healthcare space because of the convergence of three technologies one is dna sequencing two is artificial intelligence and three is gene therapies importantly uh crispr cas9 gene editing so we think that healthcare is going back into a golden age the golden age that uh genentech launched with monoclonal antibodies in the 80s took returns up to north of 20 returns on r d investment now that investment is down to seven percent we think this convergence of these three technologies which uh from a cost point of view has only been possible recently is going to create a new uh golden age in healthcare which from our point of view could take uh returns north of 30 so even better than what we saw in the 80s and 90s so is arc invest going to invest in myanmar no of course not uh at least not anytime in the near future uh like she said in the video arc invest does not invest in binary options so just a quick recap of what was said so first kevin o'leary really takes up the mantle after the interview asked a question and again the interviewer almost seemed like surprised that this question was being asked which again just goes to show the power of reddit so thank you guys for really uh pushing that she apparently lots of people ask the questions i don't know how many but that is great to see but yeah kevin o'leary he really takes up the mantle he talks about how much amazing potential mind med has and also other psychedelic companies as well but he's talking specifically about mind mad um he talks about the potential for molecules like 18mc to treat addiction and lsd microdosing treat adhd and how if these medicines work there really is astronomical gains to be made however he then talks about how these are really binary options either their medicines work and the stock is going to go to the moon or they don't and the the bubble is going to pop those are really the only two options he talks about it all the time and i try to uh echo that sentiment to try to give as much fair and balanced coverage as possible so yeah after he gave that warning about mind medicine and other companies really being binary kathy wood jumps in and she explains how arkhamvest usually doesn't invest in binary options she was very dismissive of the psychedelic stocks in general and she very quickly pivoted to what she sees as a fantastic opportunity in the healthcare space in general she says that it is an industry that is about to be disrupted heavily through the convergence of three different technologies which are dna sequencing artificial intelligence and gene therapies and anybody who listens to arkhanvest or kathy wood frequently this will be no surprise you'll have heard this lot before but yeah she she was fairly dismissive of psychedelic stocks in general so that's the main takeaway from this however i will say that there is a kind of silver lining here um so yes mind med and companies like it are binary at the moment but it will not always be the case in a year let's say two years we're going to start getting data back from these clinical trials within two years probably a year but let's say two years we will have a fairly good understanding of how effective compounds like 18mc or lsd are for treating mental health issues and if as us bulls expect all of these clinical trials start coming back with fantastic results well then mind meds no longer going to be and other companies like it but mind med is no longer going to be just a binary option because there will be hard physical proof that these drugs work and then on top of that she talks about how the mental health care industry is ripe for disruption through artificial intelligence well a lot of these companies like mind mad are working on digital medicine divisions so mindmap has their albert division which is working to use artificial intelligence and machine learning to both help with clinical trials and then also with uh patient patient care so making sure they get better treatment gathering better data on their treatment making sure that the effects are what they hope for so i'm going to be making a video on albert at some point in the future but we're at such an early stage right now that it's really hard to get a good understanding on how effective albert is going to be uh right now all you really see is all the the buzzwords and uh like deep learning that type of thing but we don't actually know if it's going to be successful but for the moment let's give mind med the benefit of the doubt uh let's give them a benefit of the doubt on two fronts let's say one that within a couple years they're going to have uh really positive clinical trial results and then two that albert really is going to be a a solid machine learning uh company or subsect of their company that really is working to innovate the the the medicines society or not society but the medicines uh field as a whole well then i could see in the fairly near future within a few years of all of a sudden mine met in companies like it meeting the the requirements for arc invest that they would no longer be binary and then also they're using some of these platforms that arc and best talks about all the time specifically uh artificial intelligence so again i just really need to be clear this was a solid no that came from kathy wood uh but it could change in the future you never say never um and the only reason she even got asked about this was because of the power of the reddit pages shroom stocks and mind med investors group um so how am i feeling about this well this was totally to be expected uh i was almost like a hundred percent sure that even if we got the question asked she wasn't going to have anything super positive or fun to say about mind matters or the sector in general but you know despite that i'm still a little bit disappointed i was hoping for like golden hail mary where she comes out and talks about how amazing this sector is but uh yeah of course that didn't happen so i'm a little disappointed um i will say i see another little tiny silver lining probably not the case but nevertheless it doesn't sound like arc or kathy have done any research into the psychedelic medicine space as of yet and like why would they it's a very nascent space very niche she seems surprised that they're getting question eager to pivot but if we use the power of reddit to keep getting this question asked and she hears this multiple times then maybe in the future especially after some clinical trial results come back they might decide to put in you know just like a couple drops of resources into researching this and doing their own due diligence and if that happens then it's anybody's game anything could happen again this probably won't happen but the the main takeaway here is that we just showed the power of the shroom stocks and mine medicine investors groups we can use this power to get the questions we want asked of major financial institutions and individuals and get mind med more out into the public and other psychedelic stocks of course into the public awareness so i see that as a very uh cool silver lining that we were able to do this again so much respect to everybody that asked that question uh lots of love for you and yeah so arc invest you're not investing in mindmen not investing in the psychedelic medicine space probably won't do it anytime in the near future and realistically probably will never do it but never say never all right guys if you enjoyed this episode please like and subscribe to support the channel and click on one of the videos you see on your screen now so that we can stay together for a little bit longer this is james from the psychedelic investor signing out i'll see you next time
