You must have heard about India's Warner Buffett or the Big Bull of India, Mr. Rakesh Jhunjhunwala. Well, you might know about him, and if you don't, then no problem, you will get to know about him through this video, and perhaps his story will inspire you in some way. Everyone, you are welcome. Did you get it?
When Rakesh Jhunjhunwala was 14 years old, he told his father that he wanted to learn about the stock market. His father told him to start reading all the news related to the stock market finance from the daily newspaper that comes to their house, so that he would get to know about different companies and how the company is doing.
Then as Rakesh Jhunjhunwala grew up, his schooling was completed, he asked his father if he could start investing in the stock market. If we want to do something, then our parents tell us to focus on our studies. Then Rakesh Jhunjhunwala also focused on his studies, completed his graduation, and after that he started a company.
I also became a CA. He was 25 years old. He asked his father, "Can I invest now?" His father said, "OK, but I'll only give you ₹5,000. You have to start investing with just ₹5,000." But before that, I'd like to divert your mind a little. Do you think he started investing from the age of 25? Think about it.
No, he started investing 11 years ago when he was 14. He had acquired a lot of knowledge in the field. Only after that did he invest in the field. He invested in Tata Tea shares because at that time the share price of Tata Tea was 43. And within just three months, the share price of Tata Tea increased from 43 to 143.
You saw earlier that he started from 43 and the share price of Tata Tea became 143. In his first three months itself, he generated a good profit and generated a good profit. Talk to your share. Okay. In 2002-03, at that time the share price of Titan was only ₹3, so he had bought 6 crore shares. So see, at the rate of 6 crore shares at ₹3, he invested 18 crores in Titan Company.
Today, the share price of Titan is approximately 2300, so you can see how much profit will be earned in 6 crore shares. In 1990, Harshad Mehta scam took place, in which the share market had collapsed, but at that time Rakesh Jhunjhunwala ji tackled the market very well in his own way and earned the biggest money of his life, he himself says that in those days he earned 30-35 crores rupees in the market just by selling shares.
He was a sharp shooter. He used to say that both the market and the stock market are the same; neither can they be controlled nor dominated. He used to see whether the valuation of the company is reasonable or not. Those whose fundamentals are wrong, they do not invest in that company. He used to say that the market's Do n't be fooled by the news about companies and do n't get carried away by all the speculations that are going on.
The company's competitiveness is not such that wherever they invested, they made profits. They were giving them losses. They say that their decision regarding DHFL was wrong, their decision regarding Jio was wrong, their decision regarding Dish TV was also wrong. Decisions can be right as well as wrong [laughs].
It is important to have patience. One should not take any decision in haste. If you are taking the right decision, then your studies will be correct, only then you would have taken a decision in that regard. Have faith in it. One day your money will definitely come back. And make only as many mistakes as you can afford.
Okay, so this was a small story related to Rakesh Jhunjhunwala ji. If you liked my video, then don't forget to like my video and subscribe to my channel. Thanks for watching.
