If you have read How Was My Childhood? What my father told me, we have understood in the previous video. Now let's start with Chapter Three. Chapter Three Starting with ₹5,000 Part Three. Friends, after completing CA studies, I had a big question in front of me. Should I take a secure job or go down a path where there were no guarantees?
Stock market. At that time my father said one thing to me. He said if you want to go to the market then go but there is a condition. I asked which condition? He said I will not give you money and do not ask for money from your friends also. At that time I had only ₹5000. In today's time, ₹5000 may not be enough to buy even a mobile.
But in 1985, that was my entire capital. I started my journey in Bombay Stock Exchange with the same ₹5000. At that time the market was not digital like it is today. There was no online trading. Everything happened in the trading ring. People used to shout orders. Buy, sell. And in that noise, someone's fortune was made and someone's was broken.
I used to go to the market every day and do just one thing for hours. Observe. I used to see which stock was rising , which was falling and which traders were trading only on rumours. Gradually I started understanding the psychology of the market. I understood that there are three types of people in the market.
A trader who seeks short term profits. Two investors who build wealth through patience. Three speculators who only gamble and I decided I don't want to be a gambler. I want to understand the market and become a smart trader and investor. I used to do small trades. Sometimes there is profit, sometimes loss.
But every trade taught me something new. I quickly realized that the biggest teacher in the stock market is not profit but loss because loss teaches you to learn from mistakes. But friends, the first big opportunity of my life was about to come. Chapter 4 T Trade Part Four It was 1986. There was a company in the market called Tata T.
Today this company is a big part of the T Group. But at that time people did not take it very seriously. I studied that company carefully. I looked at his business reports. I understood the growth potential of the company and felt that the stock was undervalued. At that time, Tata T's share was around ₹43.
Many people were saying that there is nothing special in it. But I trusted that company. I took the risk. I bought thousands of shares of Tata T. I did not have much capital at that time. So I borrowed some money too. This was the first big risk of my career. And friends, always remember one thing in the stock market, big profits always come to those who take calculated risks.
After a few months, there was a sudden movement in the market. The price of Tata T started increasing. ₹43, ₹60, ₹80, ₹100 and then ₹143. Friends, my investment had increased many times. My ₹5000 became lakhs of rupees. This was the first big success of my life. That day I understood three big things.
First of all, the market rewards those with patience. Secondly, if you have chosen the right company then the market eventually recognizes it. And the third and most important thing is that to become rich in the stock market, you need both knowledge and credit. From that day onwards the market started taking me seriously.
But friends, the story of success is not always straightforward. The market takes you up and also brings you down and now the real test of loss, struggle and market was about to come in my life too. You will hear this story in the next chapter. Friends, when a person earns profit for the first time in the stock market, he feels that now he has understood everything.
I felt the same way. After the Tata T trade, my confidence had increased a lot. I started to feel that it was now easier to understand the market. But friends, the stock market never gives anyone a chance to boast for long. The market always tests you and there came a time in my life when the market taught me the biggest lesson.
At that time there was a very bullish atmosphere in the market. People were buying shares everywhere. Everyone was saying that the market will only go up. When the market is bullish, greed increases among people. And this greed leads many traders to losses. I was also trading continuously at that time.
Some trades would make profits, some trades would make losses. But a time came when the market suddenly changed. One day the market opened and many shares started falling. People started selling in panic. There was a strange atmosphere in the trading floor. People were shouting. Some were selling shares, some were not daring to buy.
And within no time, instead of boom, fear spread in the market. Friends, the most dangerous thing in the stock market is fear and panic. When people get scared, they start selling shares without thinking and this is the time when the market falls very fast. Many stocks in my portfolio also started falling.
There were some stocks which were continuously going down and for the first time I realized that the market is not just about profits. Market also teaches losses. At that time fear also arose in my mind. I started wondering if I made a mistake? Is the market not for me? But friends, this was the time when I learned a very important thing.
Only those people survive in the stock market who remain patient even in difficult times. I said to myself, "Just because the market is falling doesn't mean it's over. The market always moves in cycles. Sometimes bullish, sometimes bearish. And only the investor who understands these cycles becomes successful in the long run.

Friends, during that market crash, I noticed something else: when the market falls, most people flee. But there are some people who remain calm during that time, and they later make the biggest profits.
I gradually began to understand that money in the stock market is made not by speed, but by patience." I began to carefully analyze my trades. I tried to understand my mistakes: where I acted hastily, where I traded emotionally, and where I should have been patient. Friends, the most important skill in the stock market is self-analysis.
If you learn from your mistakes, the market gradually improves you. But if you don't admit your mistakes, the market punishes you again and again. During that crash, I made a promise to myself. I decided that I would no longer trade solely on rumors. I would now invest after understanding companies.
I would analyze their business, their future, their growth, everything. And perhaps this thought became the biggest turning point in my life.
