Friends, in today's video we will discuss the top five investment rules of Vijay Kedia Sir, which he has learned in his investing journey and we have to learn these rules and implement those rules in our trading journey, our investing journey. Friends, my name is Rahul Thackeray and I welcome you all to your own Channel 4 Charcha.

Let us start with Vijay Kedia Sir's top five golden rules. Vijay Kedia Sir's rule number one is look for good management. Vijay Kedia Sir gives maximum importance to management. He looks at three things within management. The first thing is honesty, how honest the management is. The second point is capability, how capable the management is, how efficient it is and the third is track record matters the most.

Then they look at the track record. They track management. We have to listen to their conference calls to know whether the management has fulfilled the commitments it had made in the past or not. This is how they view management. For example, suppose there is a car. They think of the car as a company.

And the driver of the car treats the driver of the car as a management. And how do investors treat the passengers sitting inside the car. Simple, what is their concept? They have considered the car as a company. He has considered the driver of the car as management and all the passengers sitting inside the car as investors.

So if the driver of the car i.e. the management of the company is honest, capable and has a good track record. So what will that management do ? He will drop the passenger to his destination. But the driver of the car will not be good. The management of the company itself is not good. So investors do not like to remain in that company.

So you have to understand the management of the company in this way. Vijay Keya Sir gives the most importance to the top level management of the company. His rule number two is invest for the long term. He has taken the long term view that you have to invest in any company for five to ten years. Only then the power of compounding works in our favor.

Only then our wealth grows there. Because making money is a very boring process. So the power of compounding requires patience and time, only then our money can grow. There is no such thing as overnight here. Your money will not grow overnight. If you have invested in a company, then you have to remain invested in that company for a minimum of five to ten years.

Whatever moves happen in the short term will not make you money. Whether you talk about a company or a mutual fund. When will you get benefits in mutual funds also ? When your horizon is up, your period will be of five years, 10 years. Only then will your wealth be compounded. Because the power of compounding is the eight wonder of the world.

So you have to think about the long term. You don't have to think about the short term here. Vijay Kedia Sir has told about his one principal which he calls Smile Principal. This is his formula. Whenever they select a company, it is based on fundamental analysis. So first of all he uses the smile principle.

You can call it smile formula. What does the Smile Principle mean now? Let us know the meaning of Smile Principle. Here, small in size, they see that the size of the company should be small. Here we are not talking about penny stocks which are worth ₹1 or 50 paise. I am not talking about that. What does small size mean ?

That company can also be small cap. The company can also be a mid cap. So what does small in size company mean? Suppose the market cap of the company is between Rs 5000 crore to Rs 10,000 crore. Such a company is called small in size. That company is still small. Because it has a lot of growth potential.

That is why they prefer to select small companies. What is the simple market cap of a company? The market cap of a company indicates the size of the company. You never have to judge a company on the basis of its share price. So the market cap of the company will tell you the overall size of the company.

So how do we calculate the market cap of a company? You have to take the share price of the company and multiply it by the total number of shares, which will tell you the size of the company and its market cap. What is the second point? Medium in Experience. Meaning, the management of that company currently has medium experience.

Meaning that company became small cap and the company became mid cap. What is the experience of those who are in management? It is medium. No, he is small, what is his experience? It is medium. That means that company has been around for 5 years, 60 years. They have seen the bull run. He's seen Bear Run.

So this type of company is called medium in experience. Then they focus on large in aspiration. Aspiration means desire. What is the desire of the company's management right now? For example, if a company is small cap, what will it do? She would like to move from small cap to mid cap. If a company is mid cap, it would like to become large cap from mid cap.

This is called large in aspiration. Meaning, the management of the company should have an aspiration, a desire, a strong burning desire so that the company can grow in the future. His last point is extra large in market potential. I mean, what do they mean by saying simple? Whatever segment the company is in, it should have high growth potential within that segment.

Meaning, if the company is currently a small cap, then its growth potential within that segment should be such that the company can become a mid cap. That company could become a large cap. Here she focuses on which sector the company belongs to and what is the growth potential within that sector? Can that company achieve growth in that sector within the next 10 to 15 years ?

That is called extra large in market potential. So this Smile Principle of Vijay Kedia Sir is quite popular. It is quite famous. Whenever he analyzes a company, he shortlists it on the basis of the Smile Principle. His fourth rule is don't invest to earn a break. What is the meaning of this? Never Depend Completely on the Stock Market for Your Daily Income.

What he simply means is that you should not be completely dependent on the stock market for daily income. Because we should have a fixed income plan. Where will the fixed income come from? Like we do jobs, it will come from the job. If you are self-employed, if you are a business owner, then you should have a fixed income from there.

Because the returns you get in the stock market totally depend on the market conditions. Suppose the market is in a bull run, the market is in a bear run, or the market is in a sideways trend. According to this, the return in the stock market becomes the return. If you are in a bull run, your portfolio will grow.

If it is sideways then the portfolio will stop there completely. You will not get any returns there. If there is a bear run, your portfolio will go down there. So these are called market conditions. So the returns in the stock market are never fixed. The nature of that return is always variable. That's why he said that you should have a fixed income.

You should stop depending on the stock market for daily income. Vijay Kedia Sir has said that any investor should have three qualities. Number one is patience, number two is courage and number three is knowledge. Where will the knowledge come from now ? Your knowledge will come from fundamental analysis.

The annual report of the company is a good source of fundamental analysis. You can get it from the company's website. You can get that from NSC. So when you read the annual report, you will get to know about the company from there. How is the management of the company? You will get all the details and all the knowledge.

The second factor is courage. Whether you trade in the stock market or invest. Courage is an internal property. So whether you want to trade or invest in the stock market, then what kind of factor should you have in your debt? Debt is our inherent property of every person. When we do mental analysis, that is, we work on ourselves, only then a debt will develop.

There should be debt factor to invest in the stock market , to trade in the stock market. Then comes patience. If you have to hold any stock, be it a mutual fund or any stock, then you will have to spend 5 years, 10 years or 15 years on it, so what should you have for that? You should have patience.

If you do not have that patience, then you will not be able to create wealth in the long term because I told you in the beginning itself that making money is a very boring process. Rome was not built in a day but Hirashima or Nagasaki was destroyed in a day. The wealth that you will create in the stock market will be a factor behind that wealth.

Patience, this quality should be there in an intelligent investor and a disciplined trader. Even if you want to trade, you have to sit quietly until your setup is formed. Until then you don't have to trade there. You have to take the trade only when your setup is formed. So for that also you need patience and you have to remain in that trade until your target is hit.

So what do you require? Patience. So whether you trade in the stock market or you invest in the stock market. Patience is an inherit property. Debt is an inherent property. As we work on ourselves, patience also develops within us. Debt also develops within us. And as far as factor knowledge is concerned, if you do fundamental analysis, you will get knowledge from there.

So don't forget these three factors. These three qualities should be present in us as an investor, as a trader. Friends, if you liked this video then please like this video.
