in today's video i just want to show you a few more trade examples of me using the 9 ema and the break and re-test strategy i know i've been making a lot of videos of this strategy but the reason i'm doing that is to continue to give you examples continue to show you trades of this strategy so if you are interested in it you can continue to see how i use it and hopefully that helps you perfect the strategy yourself now by no means am i perfecting this strategy over time i will continue to learn about it i will continue to see examples and really it just becomes that muscle memory when you start to see this strategy over and over again you start to see these examples on the on the chart every single day you start to be able to anticipate them just a little bit now the key here is to obviously cut those losses when the strategy doesn't work out so that you can come back and use this strategy once again and take a winning trade so i want to continue to make these videos i want to continue to show these examples and in today's video i have some great examples on nvidia i have two from early in the morning and i have an interesting one later in the day on that important 812 breakout so you know every single time that i post all right guys so let's go ahead and jump right into this one minute chart on nvidia here on your screen we had a little bit of movement in the morning in the pre-market nvidia was getting i think they got a price target in the morning so this was one of the main watches in the chat and i've been watching nvidia every day so we we know there's been a lot of movement on nvidia we know there's been a lot of hype around this stock and it has been a great stock to trade the last two days as you guys probably know have been extremely choppy in this market so i've been a little bit more careful in the morning i've been starting to scale down just a little bit and you will see this in this trade when i start to get a little bit more confidence in the move i will add to it so i have started to do that go in light on the first one when i start to see it working for me i add my full position so here is my first trade on nvidia now the reason i got into this it's pretty simple it is basically cut and dry to the 90ma and the break and retest strategy all of the trades that i take by the way here in the morning we're called out in the discord chat and if you want to join it is down below in the description so number one we got this big move out of the gates on nvidia this is something we've seen quite a bit i didn't catch that first trade i didn't catch the first move something that you guys may know over as watching this channel is i don't like to take that first spike out of the gates sure it is very lucrative and you can make a lot of money if you get it right but it's also a very big gamble nvidia could have could have easily just tanked straight down instead of spiked almost uh what is that almost five or six dollars a share so we got that first move i waited for the pullback where did we get a pullback here on nvidia you can see it right here to the 9 ema now what i absolutely love about this 9 ema hold is that you can notice these wicks on the downside of the candles this is very important please listen to this you see these moves you see this pullback look at the wicks on the bottom of these one minute candles they are all pushed to the upside that is extremely important that shows that there are buyers below pushing the stock price higher now not only did we hold the 9 ema right here we have a beautiful break and re-test of these pre-market highs look at this perfect trade right here boom boom break and re-test of these previous highs in the pre-market and an absolutely gorgeous 9 ema test right here with these wicks pushing it higher now right when i saw that i knew i had to take my chance here on this trade this is my strategy this is what i look for and this is where you put that calculated risk on the table to try to make profit in the market there's a strategy here this is not just guessing this is what we like to see every day and it worked out once again so right here you guys will see my trades i bought one nvidia contract at 798 at 9 36 a.m that is right here on this candle higher so we got these wicks i love that price action we started to push higher we started to get that confirmation so i went ahead and i added one contract now if i was a little bit more aggressive here i probably would have started to add in closer to the nine ema but i was being a little bit more patient today with the choppiness in the market so we had this push higher i got in one contract and i quickly added three more to get a four contract position and uh on the same candle actually so i started to really see that push higher started to see that really strong momentum and i got in four contracts at an average price of right around you can probably say right around 840 to 850.
just just around that area you can see the first one's at 798 the seconds at 8.90 so my average cost was probably around that 840 to 850 area now i start to scale out as we started to get a push higher so 937 was right here on this candle i sold two and then the next two i held until 9 39 which was up on this push i basically sold at the high of this candle at nine actually the beginning of this candle at 9 39 where we opened so i got that nice push i was taking quick profits that trade was about 200 to 250 dollars not really important how much money i make on this the more important thing that i want to show you today is the entry is the is the strategy so the break the the retest and the nine year may hold right here is exactly what i was looking for and that is a beautiful trade right there all you could do is you could scale up as you get more confident you could scale up and you can make more money now next trade which i got in a little bit larger i had five contracts was at 9 42.
now why did i get into this that is because we had another break and retest right here and a nine ema hold right here two of the exact same chart formations in like probably 15 minutes so right here break and retest 9 ema hold right here you had a break a retest of previous highs and a 9 ema hold so i got in there once again at 9 42 that is right here on this candle higher got in at 9 42 with five contracts sold uh four of them two minutes later at 9 44 and then sold the last one at 9 44 as well as we started to move lower so a quick scalp there not too big of a winner with five contracts it looks like it was about about 30 cents 30 cents with five contracts about 150 maybe 160 there on that trade um so another nice trade 9 ema break and retest two beautiful chart formations there in the morning and those were my trades there in the morning on nvidia now one thing to show you this is a little this is a good thing to show you uh now that we are here this candle right here this candle you can see the the crack below that 9 ema that is a change in trend and you can see what happened after that 9 ema failed look at how nvidia could not break back above uh basically until later in the afternoon so that was the trend change that was the 9 ema fail and at the same time i'm sure that nasdaq was starting to lose steam as well so once you see this trend change nvidia is no longer a stock to watch unless you're looking for the downside unless you're looking for puts so for example a nice little trade here nice little momentum change right here at this 9 ema that is when you know that the trend is changing that's when i use the 9 ema to know whether i need to go long or if i want to look at some puts but me preferably i like to take those upside plays i like to take those 9 ema holds and those are two great examples right there on nvidia hopefully you can learn from this hopefully you see what i'm looking at now let's go ahead and get into my later day trade on nvidia as well alright guys so i have the next trades pulled up here for us to analyze now here is what we were looking at in the chat we were talking about this nvidia crawl up towards the end of the day we were watching this uh basically for the last basically two hours of the day to see if we could eventually get the break of this five or this 812 area here every single time we pushed up into this a12 we got a really strong rejection now what i was watching and what i was sort of showing in the chat today was this ascending triangle that was starting to form we started to get this uptrend on nvidia and we started to have this really strong base or this uh upside resistance at 8 12.
so every time we hit a 12 we got that rejection right so one two and every time we hit the bottom of this trend line we got a nice bounce now the one trade that i took here was off the 9ema and before we look at that what i want to show you is this red line so you guys see this red line right here that is the 105 ema that represents the 9 ema on the 15 minute chart and what you guys will see is that we held that very nicely along with the uptrend so i like to have that on my charts i don't always take trades off of it because it is sort of a deep pullback and you don't i don't really like trusting it too much i'd rather take it on the 9ema bounce where i know there's some momentum to the upside but this was a nice bounce off that 105 ema right here that's where that circle is really nice bounce pushed back into 812 got rejected and here is where my trade come in so right here you guys will see we've got to that e12 we found that rejection once again we got a three-minute pullback and we held the 9 ema really well right here we got a really strong push off the nine and we saw the nasdaq moving up at the same time so i was definitely interested in this push higher what you guys will see is i got in 10 contracts so i scaled up a little bit into this size i wanted to try to catch this 812 breakout i was a little bit stubborn here i really wanted to get the a12 breakout i figured that if we got through it there would be a big move so that is why i did scale up slightly here and uh i was sort of chopping around the whole day i was up about 200 to 300 throughout the entire day and i was looking to see if i can catch a really nice trade to put myself up in a comfortable position on the day so that is why i did scale up a little bit here on this late day 9 ema hold and they push through a very strong resistance level so 812 was the level i got in at 1507 which was this green candle right here i got in five and i added five more at 1508 as we were pushing through this five or this a12 level now with the five contracts i took originally that is a normal size for me if it was to pull back i would have taken my loss and i would have moved on but i did add into it because i was telling myself if we would break through a12 i think we can get a nice move so i'm going to go ahead and add five more and try to take advantage of this move so i did add five more there average cost was probably just around 765 right in that area and it looks like uh just about a minute and two minutes later which is right here 509 and then 510 right here i went ahead and i took profits a little bit less than a dollar per contract with 10 contracts i believe this trade was right around 600 to 700.
so a nice trade really i was just looking for that 9 ema hold we got that 90ma holder right here a nice little flag pattern as well as you guys can see right there a little flag pattern breaking out through that high of or not high of day but through a very strong resistance level that 812 break and just taking my profits on the way higher i knew i wanted to take my profits quick here because a12 was really difficult and i figured even if we got that pushed through we might see some rejection i don't know if we can actually hold it with how choppy the market was if it was a market like monday of last week or monday of this week and we saw those insane runs i probably would have held this a little longer because nvidia had some big moves towards end of day even yesterday on wednesday as well as tuesday but today was very choppy and i just wanted to close my day up so on the day i closed about a thousand dollars in profit i post my p l's every day on tw on twitter and instagram you can follow me there but here is another great example of the 9 ema hold hopefully you guys see this hopefully you can learn from it and hopefully you enjoyed this video so guys that's really all that i have for you today wanted to share some more examples of these trades i call out these trades in my discord chat sometimes later in the day like that trade on nvidia i'm just in the options chat typing them out i'm not always in the voice chat i do sort of stay there early in the morning from around nine o'clock a.m until about one or two sometimes if i'm really pushing it but i like to jump out because if i have to be honest with you sitting in there all day will cause me to over trade and i don't want to be sitting at my computer all day so if i step away and i look at something sometimes i'll just type it in the discord for you guys to see but every single morning we live stream we talk about these trades live and those two trades in the morning those break and retests those were called out in the morning so congratulations to you guys that took those with me if you enjoyed today's video press that like button if you want to join the discord there's a link down below if you want to subscribe to the channel that would be awesome help me continue to grow this channel press that bell notification and remember i live stream every single morning from 8 am to around 8 45 reviewing the pre-market and preparing you for the day thank you again guys for watching the video and hope to see you in the next one peace you
