Hello friends, in this short video I would like to talk about money and investments. Uh, first of all, keep your investment boring. And uh track your portfolio periodically. And secondly, don't keep too many uh stocks. And track them. And take feedback and some other uh you should have a lot of patience and uh uh if you feel that the results are not encouraging then you can reshuffle the portfolio, but try to keep the uh stocks maximum 15.
More than 15 means it's very difficult to track. This one aspect. And secondly, people think that stock market is a gambling and stock market is casino. Uh I believe that stock market is not gambling, it's not a casino. Stock market is a probabilistic game. Uh it [clears throat] it relates to psychology, probability.
Uh you have to you have to take risk. And not to take a risk is also a risk, so you need to take risk. You have to take bets and you have to take conviction. And you should wait for a long term results. Uh so of course these are all the aspects which are easier said than done, but uh these are all my basic core principles.
I stick to it. Uh because I uh I I started uploading videos for the last one year on money and investments. Earlier I was focusing on my education and learning. And I published the 56 books including the best-selling book titled See the Light in You. And I'm a researcher and storyteller and uh So, I'm a 63 years old and I had a brain stroke in the year 20 uh 21.
And I never cared for money, but I started thinking the importance of money ever before especially after the brain stroke. Uh so, I was very happy that, you know, my two sons are post graduates and uh uh I'm a doctorate uh but I never craved for money. I I was into nonprofits and sharing the knowledge free of cost.
So, like that, you know, lots of stuff I did. So, now I realize the importance of money ever before and and especially after brain stroke I started having health challenges. So, so I started thinking uh and started exploring uh making money and to reach to financial independence because you need to when you give money gives you opportunities, money gives you uh freedom and you can make your own decisions.
So, so you should have financial independence which is very much required. Apart from that, you need to have term insurance, you need to have medical insurance and unfortunately, I don't have term insurance and I don't have uh medical insurance. Uh and I served in the Indian Air Force only for 12 years and then I started doing business which didn't work out.
Then again, I become an educator. So, like that, you know, my life has changed. I know somehow I come up to this level. So, now coming to this point is that, you know, as long as you're resilient, as long as you're having a positive spirit, uh you can make money irrespective of the age. Uh but if you start early, it's always better.
Uh Uh but if you look at uh Warren Buffett, he became billionaire at the age of 62. [clears throat] Uh of course, he was rich basically and he was born in a different era and a lot of opportunities he had. And if you look at the portfolio of Warren Buffett also, uh he has limited stocks and but uh he's uh he's most of the uh uh companies he invested was Apple and then again uh Coca-Cola, then various other companies he invested.
The list is very lengthy. So, it's very obvious that you know all stocks won't give you returns, but some stocks will give you returns. And for that, you need to have conviction. You should have a patience and you should bet and you have to take uh risk. So, these are all aspects which are which are required to succeed.
So, people take Warren Buffett as a role model across the world. Apart from that, you know you should read ba- bal- balance balance sheets and uh [clears throat] uh you should start early and uh you can you can become a either investor or an entrepreneur. But if you look at Warren Buffett, he was he's an investor rather than entrepreneur.
If you look at Elon Musk, he's an entrepreneur. So, people have different ideas and different people have different strokes. Different ideas, different ideologies they are having. But uh Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger and Uh, Charlie Munger was literally broke, but he survived. And he he passed away some I think two to three years ago.
[clears throat] So, it's very obvious that, you know, without failure, you can't succeed in your life. And you can learn from mistakes and you should not repeat the same mistakes again. So, you have to learn mistakes and you have to keep moving and you have to explore and you have to take a risk and you need to have conviction.
Only then you'll be able to make money in stock market. And be rational, not emotional. And these are all the basic aspects I'm sharing with you. I I request you to like, subscribe and [clears throat] share with your networks. With gratitude.
