pay for your Amazon purchases with Bitcoin let me show you how it works hey Dave Taylor here again and this time I want to talk about Bitcoin but I don't really want to talk about Bitcoin which is this really interesting cyber alternative digital Cash System I want to talk about Amazon because if you're like me you spend a lot of time on Amazon and buy a lot of stuff and the thing is is there's always been this Great Divide Bitcoin and Amazon and now it's solved now there's a really elegant solution from a company called u.io so what I want to do is I want to show you how easy it is for me to go on Amazon find something like John grisham's latest book and then use Bitcoin out of my iay you.i wallet and actually use that to purchase purchase the book and have it shipped to me so spin around and let me show you what's on the screen and I'll talk you through all right so here I am at amazon.com and you can see in my shopping cart is the new John Grisham Thriller the Whistler looks great so I'm going to go to check out so now you can see that I have $5 of a gift card already applied but I still owe $18.47 so let's go ahead and pay that with Bitcoin the first step is simply to jump over to I .io and I've already set up an account you can see I have $32 in balance and I'm going to just go ahead and click on the Amazon direct link and at this point I've also set up my account over at Amazon it's super easy to do you just give it your Amazon account ID and password and now I just need to do $18.47 so you can see I'm going to transfer $18.47 there's a little transaction fee but it's very much worth it cuz I am paying for an Amazon purchase with Bitcoin how awesome is that let's go ahead and initiate the transfer by clicking on transfer to amazon.com now and it'll collect the funds and now if you look up here it's actually starting to do the transfer to Amazon so it starts by contacting amazon.com starting the transfer and now it's transferring the funds and to be fair this takes 20 or 30 seconds but you don't need to watch this for that so let's just jump ahead to the end and transfer complete awesome so now we have a new balance at Amazon so let's switch back to Amazon and all I'm going to do is refresh this and watch what happens so the gift balance is now $23.47 which turns out to be exactly the cost of the purchase so we have a gift card for $23.47 and in total the book is going to cost me zero how awesome is that that's all you have to do done and I just purchased something on Amazon with Bitcoin so that's all there is super easy I mean honestly it makes this as easy as using a credit card as easy as using any other Financial currency and now people that have Bitcoin or been thinking about Bitcoin you know have another really cool way to use it on Amazon so how is this not a win-win and as for me well hopefully I'll get a knock on the door soon enough so I can start reading that new book so I would suggest you check out iu.
