01. Hello friends, in this video we're going to discuss Jamie Dimon's words from JP Morgan, where he claims that Bitcoin is a fraud. This has gone viral on the internet, especially among those of us who use Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. The truth is, Bitcoin has been attacked many times by many entities and personalities, but as we've seen throughout its history, it has emerged from every blow it has received.

02. Bitcoin has come out on top and is, in a way, independent of the decisions and opinions of those who oppose it. So let's look at the interview. He's asked why he considers it a technological fraud, especially now that there are multiple cryptocurrencies. One of the main reasons he believes it's a fraud is that it can rise to six thousand dollars and then fall drastically.

03. You can go up and down a thousand dollars in a single swing. It's true, Bitcoin can rise dramatically and fall sharply, but this is largely due to news that affects Bitcoin, such as the recent news from China where they announced they would eliminate the use of the James Bond for Bitcoin. In China, and obviously this news affects people who at least live in China, and it affects people who receive this news and panic because they believe that somehow Bitcoin will be severely affected and will fall, will collapse, but this is not the case since Bitcoin is independent of what a country or an exchange thinks because Bitcoin is simply an exchange that can be made between two people.

04. As long as two people want to exchange this Bitcoin, it won't lose the value that we are giving it. And just as China is closing its doors to the use of Bitcoin, many other countries have opened their doors and supported the use of this technology. He says that he compares this volatility and this rise with the speculation that occurred with the tulips, where a bubble was created around them a few years ago, but it is totally different to compare what the tulips really were and the real value of a tulip, where people started increasing its value.

05. One person increased the value, another increased it even more, another increased it even more, but the real value was not that; it was a much lower value. So at some point Obviously, that bubble was bound to burst, so the true value of the tulip was one that couldn't be devalued as much as it was. But comparing this to Bitcoin is, I think, completely wrong, since Bitcoin's characteristics and its use are what give it value.

06. The fact that more and more people want to use Bitcoin as a medium of exchange—if I want to exchange, I don't know, bottle caps for food, and that person accepts bottle caps in exchange for food—is an exchange that both people are making. And the price of Bitcoin has reached almost five thousand dollars; it has n't been due to speculation, it's due to the use that people have been giving it and the fact that more and more people have wanted to get involved with that system.

07. More and more people want to participate in this system of using Bitcoin because we believe it has real value, like gold, because it is limited and has unique characteristics that give it its value. So I believe that the value can continue to skyrocket as people want to continue freely using Bitcoin.

08. A government can restrict people's freedom by imposing things as it pleases because people can't... We ca n't depend on the government; we are free and can make exchanges in our own way. Physically, the more people want to use Bitcoin, the more the price will obviously continue to rise. It's logical, not speculation; it 's simple natural logic that the price will keep rising because there are only 16 or 17 million Bitcoins right now.

09. So, if a billion people want to use Bitcoin, obviously the value will rise, not only because they want to speculate on its value, but because the more people want to use it, the more the value will rise according to supply and demand, not speculation as mentioned. And now, it's not even necessary for the currency to be controlled by a central bank, which is what people want and what makes them feel secure.

10. Banknotes, money as we know it, don't have the backing of banks; a central bank does, where people know where the money is. That's what this gentleman says, but I believe we can't take refuge in banknotes because we don't really know if there's a value behind them backed by a government. If it's a corrupt government, if it's a government that makes bad decisions, a government that wants to start a war that begins with the nation's money and starts buying planes, weapons, nuclear weapons, I don't know, the money of the entire nation will be represented in those weapons, and not the entire community agrees with it that way.

11. So, if the government is corrupt and makes bad decisions and goes into debt and starts printing money without any control, because in fact more than 90% of the community doesn't know if the amount of money distributed nationally and globally really represents the national wealth, then a government can say, "We're in a crisis, like what happened in 2008, we're in a crisis, let's print money," adding up the interest to solve that temporary problem, but after it becomes a long-term problem, it can create impressive inflation.

12. So we can't just let it drift and believe that our money, our capital, is safe just because it's represented in banknotes held in a central bank, because if, for example, turning that situation around, if we all simply used foreign currency overnight, those Banknotes would completely lose their value, so I think that's what this person is somehow envisioning happening, and that's why they're making these statements.

13. To say that money is safe because it's held by a central bank seems wrong to me. China just closed some Bitcoin exchanges; that's right, China closed some because Bitcoin was seen as a direct threat, a threat to the system they had been building. But what Bitcoin has in its favor is the support of a community; it's not a government driving it.

14. We, the people, through social media and word of mouth, are promoting Bitcoin, and it's free. It's not hurting anyone. If you're a good person, do things right; if you're a bad person, do things wrong. So they simply see Bitcoin as a threat, but they completely close themselves off to using it and believe that by closing the doors, Bitcoin will stop growing.

15. This isn't the case because Bitcoin doesn't depend on an exchange, it doesn't depend on the government, but it depends on all the people who are using it. As long as we all contribute to its value and importance, you'll keep rising. The price suggests that people see it as something new and that's why they love it, but it doesn't make sense.

16. It's being used for illicit things, obviously. Throughout human history, illicit things have been done. Bitcoin today is n't explicitly used for illicit things, yes. I mean, before Bitcoin existed, there were already bad people and illicit situations financed with money: murders financed with money, extortion financed with money, drug purchases, arms purchases.

17. Weapons are bought with fiat money, so I do n't understand why you're saying that Bitcoin is all that when it isn't. If a person is good, if a person does good things, they can donate money to people in Africa, to people in Venezuela, they can help the community in a much more practical, humane, and personal way than fiat money.

18. And if a person is bad, obviously they want to buy weapons, buy drugs, they're going to do it with fiat money, with Bitcoin, with whatever. The root of the problem isn't Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies; it's people themselves. What each person does up to this point, so Bitcoin falls outside that context.

19. In that sense, we now have the use of Bitcoin in Venezuela, or North Korea. Is that better? And if so, which it ca n't be, it's a communist state. This repeats the issue of speculation, and I repeat, illicit purposes. But I repeat again that illicit purposes don't depend on a currency; they depend on each person, on the education those people are receiving.

20. Civic education comes out of the equation, meaning it has nothing to do with Bitcoin. Without Bitcoin, with dollars, with euros, with yen, with anything, people will continue to do good or bad things. So the important thing is to focus on doing positive things. I believe that just as when the internet arrived, very bad things can be done on the internet, but the internet also came to open our eyes and give us education in many positive aspects in which humanity has improved, and that, I believe, is the goal: that we are not under a monopoly, a monarchy, a dictatorship, but that we are free, that we can develop as people, and that we free ourselves from those chains and those ties that sometimes they want to impose on us to promote a much better society.

21. More free and coherent, promoting ideas of educational progress and equality. So, I think we've debated each of this gentleman's ideas, and it's a debate, not an idea; it's my personal idea. But I believe he's not wrong in many aspects. Time will tell; we'll see what happens with Bitcoin in the future.

22. I encourage you to continue educating yourselves, to keep opening your eyes to these kinds of technologies and what the future holds, so that we can strive for a much more prosperous and open society. Progress and technological advancement are also important. Thank you very much.
