01. very good morning here on a Tuesday morning and today I want to start with a specific topic that I believe is very important for you guys I'm just checking if the stream is perfectly for you so let me just have a look because yesterday we had some issues I don't know why but I had to start the stream like three times so definitely yeah it seems everything is working so thank you very much for tuning in smashing the like button early is always appreciated guys and the first topic I want to talk about is Bill Ackman now Bill Ackman is one of the guys a big big hedge fund guys if you want to know more about him then I really recommend the Netflix documentary between a financial fight between him and Kyle I can't oh of the big big investors that I'm really respecting on Wall Street both are betting either for or against a company called Herbalife and it's a very nice documentary it's called betting on 0 so make sure to tune this in like Netflix it's very interesting and he is one of the most successful and I believe most clever and most yeah very very good hedge fund guys out there he's also a philanthropist but he did kind of news just recently when we had the market loss he said you know we are at a fork either we going into a shutdown which to which the country did and he you know saw this recovery coming or the country don't make this shut down and we going in really dark times and you know he was then a little bit not misquoted but the 30 minutes interview was cut down to just a couple of minutes where he was really talking about you know bad how bad it could be and then they put it online and everywhere and everyone was quoting it that he was telling so many bad things about the economy but on the other side he had very much long positions right so he it seems like you know it it feels like he is saying something unseen becae that he is doing the opposite so it was not nicely seen by some people but I believe that if you watch the whole interview then he really says you know he believes in America so that's why he's mostly long now and therefore you know he is going into that and but however he is now having a new project he has a blank check company now this is a new trend as I can see in the hedge fund business world we have seen the last time this happened on a big scale was the Virgin Galactic one so you can imagine that hedge funds are bringing this blank cheque companies onto the stock market so in this case they are bringing a company that is a holding company they are bringing this to the stock market and they try to raise six point five billion dollars now what does it mean so they are doing the IPO they doing all the necessary steps to bring this company to the stock market and then actually they bring in for example half of the funds this is what actually Bill Ackman and his team want to do they want to once the company is on the stock market they want to buy shares on the public market for one or three up to three billion dollars so half of what the amount that they want to rise and they're less the rest of 3.5 billion dollars they want to then rise on the market itself so what then happens is that they look around and look for companies that what they want to bring to their basically public market so usually when companies want to do this to become a public traded company then they have a long way a road map road tour to do to really get listed and you know sometimes it done doesn't work so well and it's a very long-term process and this is a vehicle where hedge funds can say you know we really like this this this company but it's a private traded company or a private company maybe it's a family business maybe it's a unicorn like like for example let's say our B&B right so and they go to those companies and say you know what we have this public traded company a holding company that we will merge with you so you will be directly on the stock market and it can you know obviously help the company to raise money it can very much be profitable for both sides because look at for example Virgin Galactic right it started on the stock market with around six seven dollars per share now it's at 17 so they almost tripled their value since the IPO so I think that's in a very interesting way to bring companies public it's another way for example the big Ekman a Bill Ackman fund is only investing into public traded companies and therefore they like to have this vehicle to bring another player and be there for the very very first beginning and you know I'm very very curious because also hamas the chairman of Virgin Galactic is also having the same idea again so he's just I think he just finished the IPO of the next vehicle company so we shall see more and more the strength Nikola was it was the same right also a merger that happened to bring Nikola to the public markets so this is definitely interesting to watch and to follow I will definitely follow the story very very closely and again watch the Netflix documentary that is there about Bill Ackman then you will get a little bit of yeah about knowledge about him he just also got a little bit publicity when he made 27 he made out of $27 a million dollars 2.6 billion in a bed on the credit market but this you can find on my channel if you're just looking for Bill Ackman and his big short that he that this was a quite interesting bed it's it's a little bit more complicated so make sure to check out this video other news this morning Apple did their WWDC where they launched the iOS 14 and finally it's official they're ditching the Intel chips and doing their own chips I see this trend more and more Tesla for example also ditched the chips that they had from other companies for the self-driving business and make their own this is more and more vertical business integration right so they have the product they have their own chips and therefore they are less dependent on chip manufacturers and secondly also they are more and more having the profit margins right better to improve and they can make their chips to their own specifications and therefore I think it's a good step for Apple and not so good for the image of Intel however the chips of Apple seems to be not be the big big let's say needle mover for Intel so it's not about so much about the revenue but more about the image that Apple will not use internships anymore and then we have more and more news obviously circulating that the markets doesn't worry about the health crisis right now obviously the market is a forward-looking vehicle so keep that in mind and also other breaking news this morning also that futures are quite flat we will have a look into the market in a second and Peter Navarro one of the head guys of Donald Trump team or the US government team clarifies that us-china trade deal is not over so just you know giving some certainty to the markets that they shouldn't worry about and if we are looking into the market right now you see the S&P 500 plus 0.15 percent the Dow Jones almost neutral and Nasdaq also 0.15 percent Russell also almost neutral so everything seems to be neutral no big news let's have a look into the economical economical calendar real quick just to have a look if we have anything that is important to watch this morning and we have a couple of things here in Germany the market manufacturing PMI so this will be quite interesting to see okay how is the manufacturing quote in Germany how is this affected by the health crisis then we have governors Bailey speech and in the US also the manufacturing data service data PMI so home sales as well I think this was already released but you know not that much action today as it seems so I hope you have an amazing trading day don't forget to subscribe if you're new here follow me on Instagram thumbs up the live stream and I see you on just in a couple of hours with a brand new Virgin Galactic vlog so stay tuned and I see you tonight also for the livestream before the market closes thank you
