You can also ask us a question by commenting down this video. Also, please do watch the complete video to know whether we have picked up your question from the last video comments section.
Let's start today's video and first discuss the stock Rakesh Jhunjhunwala has added to his portfolio and what is the reason behind adding that stock? Friends, before talking about Rakesh Jhunjhunwala's stock, I would like to explain one thing to you As you know when Covid situation started back in Feb-March, the one industry that suffered a lot due to this is the Hotel industry.
As all the hotels were shut down and there were no customers Owing to this, the stocks of the hotel stocks were falling down unprecedently. Not only hotel industries; there were other industries as well that had their stocks going down But when markets started recovering, i.e. from the 8000 level, it has now come to an 11000 level.
So, almost all the industries saw a good recovery of their stocks Be it the auto industry or any other industry; all of them are now trading at a normal rate But Hotel industry is the only industry which is still trading at 50-40% lower than the pre covid level Maybe that's why Rakesh Jhunjhunwala saw an opportunity in this and due to that, he has bought a hotel stock called Indian Hotels If you don't know about Indian hotels, you must be aware of Taj Hotels So, Tata's company which owns the complete business of Taj Hotels is called Indian Hotels So, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala has added this Hotel stock in his portfolio recently.
Friends, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala has bought more than 1 crore 25 lakhs worth shares of Indian Hotels and almost 119 crores plus investment he has done in Indian Hotels. If I talk about ownership, it will be around 1% ownership which can be considered as a big investment So, friends, we can assume that Rakesh Jhunjhunwala has increased his stakes towards hotel industry as he is thinking that in the coming days, when the Covid situation will be gone, there might be a recovery in hotel industry However, the recovery the coming days is speculation.
Maybe he did he a lot of research before investing So, I would suggest you not to invest in this stock just because Rakesh Jhunjhunwala did so. You do your own research and then decide whether to invest. This is a fact-based discussion in which I informed that Rakesh Jhunjhunwala has invested in this Indian Hotels' stock You might be eager to know what are the other shares that are traded in the hotel industry So, friends, except this, Chariot Hotels, Lemon tree, Sinclair hotel and many others hotel that are traded in the share market You can do your research on it and if you are thinking to invest in the hotel industry then first important thing is research Scrutinize the environment, industry and then think how the recovery can come and what are the chances of recovery.
After that you can decide about the investment. Friends, If I talk about Indian hotels, it has a market capitalization of around 11000 crores Pre covide level prices of these stocks were Rs. 150 - Rs.160 but after the covide scenario, it is trading around Rs. 95. Friends, if I talk about the June's quarter result so as expected there will be negative effect on hotel industry, this hotel also faced a dip in its numbers.
Last June quarter of last financial year, the company's revenue was more than Rs. 1000 crores Which has now come down to 140 crores and the company also booked a loss of more than 200 crores in last June quarter. Friends, now let's talk about Vijay Kedia and discuss what stocks Vijay Kedia has invested in recently So, he has added stock called Tejas Networks recently to his portfolio You might want to know what Tejas Networks do?
So, Tajas Networks manafactures products that are used in the communication sector As you might be aware about communication sector which involves transfer of voice from one place to other Moreover, Tejas Networks also manafactures products that are used to transfer data and video traffic in the network from one place to another So, friends, this was about Tejas Network's business.
Now let's talk about its financials and how it appears on paper So friends, if I talk about the share price of this company, it trades around Rs. 74 It touched around Rs. 90-100 in the pre covid situation but dropped to even Rs 29 as its bottom when Covid was on the peak. This implies that the company has risen up to around 144% from its March's bottom and recently it was supposed to get new orders which showed upper circuit in this company If we talk more about the financials of this company, this is a small cap company with a market capitalization of Rs.
650 crores Friends, untill March 2019,this company was giving good quarterly results and its share price was also trading at good price But suddenly this company's financial results starts dipping and we can see a major dip in revenue and profits of this company If Italk about last 2-3 quarters, it has booked loss in these quarters One positive thing about this company is this doesn't have any debt and can be considered as a virtually debt free company If we talk about Vijay kedia, he has invested around 10 crores in this company and added in his portfolio recently Okay friends, after Vijay kedia, let's talk about Radhakishan Damani and see what stocks he has chosen and added in his portfolio recently So, the name of the company is Mangalam Organics limited This company manafactures basically 3 things which are Resins, sodium acetate and camphor So, this is associated with chemical sector and recently Radhakishan Damni has invested in it So, if we talk about Radhakishan Damani, he has invested 8.3 crores in this company and which is a small investment according to his portfolio But as per the market capitalization of the company, this is a big investment by Radhakishan Damani If we talk about the markt capitalization of this company, this is a small cap company with a market capitalization of around 350 crores The P/E ratio os this company is also low which makes it a good company, The P/E ratio of this company is around 7 If we talk about the debt of this company then also it has minimal debt as compared to revenue and profit If we talk about year on year financials, this company has shown good results to its investors As you can see on the screen, FY 2017 has 176 cr revenue and FY2018 has 241 cr revenue and in March 2019, company;s revenue almost doubled and reaches to 425 cr If we talk about the profit then FY2017 it had a profit of 5 cr and FY2018 it had 14 cr, almost 3 times and in 2019 was 73 cr So in the last few quarters, company's operating profit margin, net profit and sales has grown remarkably I haven't talked about March 2020 because of the dip company had faced during that time because of certain scenarios that affected company's profitability So, friends, the promoters had around 49.9% of ownership in Mangalam organic in March 2019 which has recently grown to 54% which means promoters also bought stakes in this company and also increasedtheir ownership it in the past few months So normally when promoters buy stakes and increase ownership at a company, it is considered as a good thing in market So, friends, lets now talk about Ashish Kacholia and find out which stock he has bough recently So, the name of the company is HLE Glasscoat Limited and he has invested around 18 crores in this company and added this company to his portfolio recently If we talk about the financials of the company, it has a market capitalization of more than 1700 crores Yo must be eager to know about the business of the company and reason why Ashish Kacholia went for this company If Italk about the business of this company, it produces carbon steel Glasslined equipment that are used in various industries Finanical details of this company is the P/E ratio of this company is around 44 Now Iwill tell one more interesting thing about HLE Glasscoat which it's share price which is around rs.
1400 recently Do youknow how much return this company has provide in the past year? So this company has provided around 600% returns You might be wondering how this company has provided so big returns to its investors in such less time The reason behind this return is the company's financial performance and in the last 2-3 years, it has provided excellent results to its investors As you can see in the screen ,March 2017 sales was 81 cr and 2018 was 97 cr and in the year 2019 it had gone to 337 cr and in 2020, it was 387 crores So you can estimate the growth of the company from FY2017 to FY2020 Company's revenue has gone to 387 cr from 81 cr If we talk about the company's profit then it has increased to 38 cr in 2020 from 3 crores in 2017 which is more than 10 times profit within 2-3 years Promoters have also bought this company stakes aggressively In June 2019 quarter, promoters had 50% stakes in this company which has grown to 74% now Okay friends, let's now to go to the second part of this video in which we will talk about the comments of our last video and discuss them But before that, let me tell you that whatever we have discussed regarding stocks in the first part of the video we are not recommending you to buy or sell any stocks.
It was just a fact based discussion which you should use for educational purpose Now , let's talk about the first comment from our last video So, friends, the first comment is of Keval Patel's and he is asking he has been allotted with Cams IPO and when he can see this stock on Groww So whenever you are allotted with an IPO and you put your details such as you applied your IPO through Groww Or you have applied for the IPO from somewhere else and put demat details of Groww and when you checked the status, you had already been allotted with the IPO After the IPO allotment, the stocks come to you demat account and after that you can see those stocks in your Groww's holding and on the day of listing at 10 in the morning, you can sell those stock easily at the same time You won't have to face any troubles.
Whenever you get these stocks in your Demat account, you can see them in your holdings Let's now talk about the 2nd question which has been asked by Rishabh Jain He is asking what are the parameters to check and decide whether to sell your IPO on the first day or to hold it So, as i have told you earlier, whenever you are bidding or subscribing an IPO, you should have a long time horizon on your mind As the company is good and going to be listed, you should think of a long time horizon when buying a ownership and you also set a price in your mind as compared to earnings.
For example, the company is earning Rs. 10 and the price is rs. 100 so according to you, the company is fairly valued. If the company is earning Rs 10 and valued at Rs 200 then you should think about it But again I will say that whenever you take an IPO you have a long term horizon in your mind and if you should sell it on the first day if the company's price is way more than its earnings and you should exit the company.
So, these are some scenarios in which you should sell it otherwise you should always think from a long term perspective Friends, I hope you liked today's video and if you have liked it then comment and tell us which stock did you like the most out of four stocks we talked about and tell us which are the best stocks for retail investors like us So I will again say this thing that today's video was completely for education purpose and if you haven't subscribed Groww's channel yet, please do it right away as we upload 3-4 videos every week for educational purpose which can help you to become an intelligent investor Happy Investing!
