01. Hello, welcome back to my YouTube channel. Today we're going to do a report on another investor and author of books that recommend long-term investing and who achieved success with it. This time it's Peter Lynch's turn. We'll look at some of his biography, famous quotes, key concepts, and a summary of the books he wrote, all in one place so we don't have to summarize each book individually.

02. This way, in a relatively short video, in a concise overview, we'll learn some of the concepts Peter Lynch used to achieve success in investing, and you'll know which parts to copy and which not. Peter Lynch was born in 1944 in Newton, Massachusetts, USA. He is an investor and investment fund manager, primarily of the Magellan Fund of Fidelity Investments.

03. Between 1977 and 1990, that is, for 13 years, during his management, the fund grew from $18 million in assets to over $14 billion. An average annual return of 29%, I think Warren Buffett's average annual return in dollars was 20%. So he beat Warren Buffett in this case. He graduated in 1965 from Boston College in finance, then attended the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, obtaining an MBA, a Master of Business Administration, in 1968.

04. He then joined Fidelite Investment as an analyst, quickly rising to become the manager of the Magellan Fund, as we saw earlier, after 1990. That is, he was a manager from '77 to '90, as we said. After the sale, he dedicated himself to philanthropy, that is, donating money and teaching financial education.

05. The books written by Peter Lynch are: 1. Up On Wall Street in 1989, 2. Beating Wall Street in 1993, and 3. Learning to Win in 1995. And here is Peter Lynch's investment strategy or method. I made a combined summary of the three books to avoid being repetitive. I made a list of approximately 17 points, I think it's 17 points.

06. You'll know which ones you like, which ones you don't, and which ones you want to apply to your investment strategy. Well, point number one: invest in what you know, in what you're familiar with—products and services you know and use personally. Observe your everyday surroundings and look for companies you understand and trust.

07. This concept is known as common-sense investing. Point two: thorough research of companies before investing. Study financial statements, competitors, growth prospects, talk to employees, clients, competitors of a company, etc. Point number three: diversification. This is to reduce risk, but not excessively.

08. Between 10 and 40 stocks from different sectors. Four: Look for good companies with promising growth and at fair value prices. Five: avoid market fluctuations and focus on solid fundamentals. Six: invest for the long term and avoid market noise in the short term. Seven: you must know a company's products and services from the consumer's perspective, not just the financial one.

09. Eight: consider what stage of the life cycle a company is in: startup, growth, maturity, or... Decline affects its potential for growth and risk. Nine: Sometimes invested in unpopular stocks in the short term, hoping for great results in the long term. 10: Tried to identify undervalued sectors that might be about to recover.

10. 11: Patience is the key to everything, and perseverance is the key to everything, and don't get discouraged. Also, have patience and perseverance and don't get discouraged by short-term price fluctuations. Stay calm. If every time we see the stock market go up and down, we get down in context and sad, we're screwed.

11. Price drops can be opportunities to buy more shares of quality companies at reduced prices. This sounds familiar. 12: Continue learning and stay informed about the sectors and companies you invest in. 13: Don't blindly trust analysts. Do your own analysis and understand the fundamentals of the companies you invest in.

12. This is fundamental. No matter how many videos or talks we watch from some investors, you have to draw your own conclusions and follow your own strategy. 13: No Trust this, we already saw it. Point 14: Peter Lynch classifies companies into six categories: a) Slow but steady: they have stable and predictable growth; b) Stable and boring: solid businesses with low risk; c) Consistent winners with sustained growth; d) Cyclical: they go up and down, up and down, meaning buy and sell at appropriate times; their profits fluctuate with the economy; e) Recovery: businesses that recover from financial problems; and f) Fast growth: rapid growth in revenue and earnings.

13. Invest in those with an annual profit growth rate above 20%; they are usually in dynamic and emerging sectors. Point number 15 that I took from Peter Lynch is that fundamental analysis, he says, is crucial, including financial statements, the price-to-earnings ratio, comparison with competing companies, competitive advantages, quality of the management team, etc.

14. Point 16 says that it is fundamental to teach financial education from an early age to learn basic concepts about saving and investing and compound interest, which according to Einstein is the eighth wonder of the world. And it's true. Point 17: anyone can invest without education if they have practical education and patience.

15. Some of Peter Lynch's key concepts are two: one is the ten " Bacher" is a term used by Peter Lin to describe an investment that could multiply tenfold in value. The other key concept is that he prefers companies with low debt relative to their equity and positive cash flow. Some of Peter Lin's famous quotes are: "Investing without research is like playing poker without seeing the cards." Another is, "Everyone has the brains to make money in the stock market, but not everyone has the stomach." I always say this when I start buying quality stocks or financial assets that are trading at a discount.

16. When the weekly chart shows a downtrend, with each price reversal in one or two candlesticks, I take a position. The strategy is sequential, or Latin, and long- term. But generally, it keeps falling. That's where it all comes down to it. But it keeps falling, for sure, because I take a sequential or gradual, long-term position, and I gradually build up a small amount of money.

17. When two or three years of investing, it becomes quite a significant amount. When it recovers, you make a good percentage profit. And the other... The point is, don't buy stocks, buy businesses. Okay, folks, I hope you liked the video. These kinds of videos aren't very popular, but I know you like it when I mention companies that are trading at a discount.

18. But I like to do a little bit of everything because I learn along the way, or I review concepts from these famous investors. I recommend you check out my YouTube channel. There I have analyses of publicly traded companies like Sedar, on the Verbal Panel, on the Leader Panel, on the General Panel, cryptocurrency analyses, long-term investors, my investment portfolio, etc., etc.

19. Thank you very much. Comment, share, subscribe, like, be happy, behave yourselves, bye, and thanks.
