Here, world 's leading investor Marc Faber has warned retail investors, saying, " Before this, and It's too late, so what's this update? Swiss investor Marc Faber, known worldwide as Doctor Doom, has made his predictions on the bearish market. He advised Indian investors to exit the equity market before a prolonged global decline.
According to Faber, global markets could remain in recession for several years. In an interview with NDTV Profit, Marc Faber, editor of the Gloom Boom and Doom report, said if the market rebounds, one should exit. He believes that global markets could remain in recession for several years. He warned that currency fluctuations could destroy real value by creating the illusion of positive returns.
He further said during the interview that retail investors in both the US and India played a significant role in the stock market rally last year. However, many people entered the market as speculators without complete information, and many of these investors are facing huge losses. He said that retail investor participation in the US market was very high last summer, and the same happened in India.
If many of these investors are unaware of this, then Marc Faber should tell them about this. He repeatedly warned investors about the massive stock market crash of 1987, and this proved true, earning him recognition as a market commentator. Since the 1970s, he has been publishing recession forecasts, initially for personal use at a time when the US was largely unaware of foreign exchange dynamics, the dollar's valuation against gold and European currencies.
He points out that speculators invested in Tesla, Adidas, and Bitcoin, which were the main reasons for last year's market rally. However, these assets have seen a sharp decline recently. Over the past month, Tesla has fallen by more than 30%, while Ethereum has fallen by more than 17%, while Bitcoin has lost 13%.
The US market has been hit hard by signs of a deepening trade war. US President Donald Trump threatened to impose tariffs of $200 on European wine, Champagne, and other spirits. On Thursday, US President Trump said he would impose tariffs on steel and other spirits, which came into effect this week.
The US will not withdraw the tariffs on aluminum, nor will it back down from the tit-for-tat repeal of the Recip Proclamation, which will come into effect on April 2nd. This dealt a severe blow to the market. Adam Turncust of LPL Financial said that due to uncertainty related to tariffs, the market fell from record highs into correction zone in just a few weeks.
Adam said that uncertainty related to tariffs has increased concerns about economic growth. Former Treasury Secretary Steven McCain dismissed the possibility of a US recession and advised investors to avoid overreacting to US President Trump's aggressive trade policies. In an interview with Bloomberg, he said that when Trump took office, the market was fully buoyed, so a 5 to 10 percent correction in the S&P or ETH is not invalid.
Strategists at B. Spock Investment Group said that investor sentiment has deteriorated significantly. They cited the American Association of Individual Investors' recent weekly poll, which revealed that bearish sentiment has remained high for the third consecutive week. State Geists say that since 1987, such sentiment was there only in the three weeks ending on March 4, 2009, so overall, all the updates coming out here, whether they are from foreigners or domestic, are showing danger bells for the market, but for the good stocks which have corrected, there is a good positive possibility for them, but friends, before making any investment, take advice from your financial advisor or do your own research, I made this video for your educational purpose, if you liked the video then like and share it, I keep bringing similar updates, subscribe to the channel and also press the bell icon.
