neighborhood of three to five hundred million but for all intents and purposes if the average person five hundred million billion dollars it doesn't make any difference but this man has made a tremendous amount of money investing in various industries ironically not in Bitcoin so in past years he's made some he's come out he said several very important things related to Bitcoin in the crypto currency markets I want to include him here Jim Rogers is in our series billionaires on Bitcoin where we reflect on exactly what they have said whether commentary is bent and it's really part of our research people in from different fields of studying investing what are they saying about Bitcoin and why are they saying it and how does it relate to their understanding of the world markets first of all let's talk about who Jim Rogers is you may not know him you may recognize him he's been on TV shows he's written a couple of books but he's a fascinating guy his Wikipedia page talks about him a little bit he's uh he's at age 75 which admittedly I think he looks pretty good for 75 this gentleman actually retired literally retired from working like 37 he's a fascinating guy he started to quantum fun was with billionaire George Soros and he says that the day that he made his first million dollar net worth he was 35 years of age and he said but by the time he was doing a quantum fun he started at $600 listen how do you become worth 300 plus million dollars did this he started the hedge fund Quantum Fund when he started it when he helped start it he only had six hundred dollars to his name when he left that fund he had grown to 47 hundred percent forty seven hundred percent now I'm here to tell you the Bitcoin the cryptocurrency space this thing has grown five and six hundred percent this year alone we may own this may be one of the few times in history where we get to be a part of something so staggering we don't have to be hedge fund managers and founders we don't have to start a hedge fund we could literally invest our dollars into something like Bitcoin and literally become millionaires and billionaires on Bitcoin or cryptocurrency in general Jim Rogers has went on with he said that he's believes he's probably missed the boat and investing on Bitcoin he was told about Bitcoin early on when Bitcoin was at $5 and below today is trading at near seventy five hundred dollars per coin that would have been a greater investment then you know what I wouldn't have been greater than quantum fund it would have been more than a thousand percent return already and some speculate the Bitcoin could hit seventy thousand a hundred thousand two hundred thousand even a million dollars per coin so literally Bitcoin even today if he was to invest it could potentially become still the best investment of his lifetime and he says that he may still invest in Bitcoin this gentleman is incredible down below he talks about says they he's made great investments around the world it wasn't focused on digital currencies and and he said that he thought it was too complicated at the time he indicated that he might invest in digital currencies in the future provided he learns enough about them I think this is extremely important err every body shouldn't study cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin listen I believe that your family's future depends on this knowledge your family's future is gonna be impacted on this knowledge in so many ways our day to day lives will be influenced by the blockchain in more than one place not only in a cryptocurrency place however do your own research I'm not a financial adviser at all but this space is going to blow up I am a huge advocate for people one of the things I love is that finally the average man and woman can take advantage young adult can take advantage of this space what could be one of the greatest transference and wealth in our lifetime and Rogers is fascinating because he discusses some of that he talked about his biggest concern in terms of economics he said is that all major banks have been printing Monte mounts of money over the past five or six years this is one of the reasons that Bitcoin is so important when banks print money it ultimately increases inflation have you seen the price of even gas Dudley have you seen the price of clothing lately have you seen housing prices how about tuition prices I mean things are going up everywhere groceries are going up in the grocery store he says it's the first time in recorded history that we have the jet think about that comment by the way the first time in recorded history that we have the Japanese the British European and Americans all printing money at the same time all of these governments are printing money so we have this artificial ocean of liquidity which is making Marcus do well but it's not doing much for the worldwide economy and then there's this part which I covered in a previous video when it ends we will all pay a terrible price the thing about Bitcoin is very possible that bitcoin could be the safety net for a lot of people that when markets start to weaken at some point this all ends when the markets start weakening at that moment that could be when a lot of big money starts rushing into the cryptocurrency space I'm telling you right now you want to start learning about this technology go to coinbase start buying you know whatever you can afford each month buy some Bitcoin thousand dollars a month 500 a month $100 a month $10 a month start buying something and just put it on a I believe when it comes to investing the the key to investing strategy is make it simple and just do it over and over again here he goes politicians have always made foolish mistakes throughout history they will make mistakes again and we will all pay for it I read another article where he talked about making money he said he likes to he said specifically he likes to buy low and sell high and he talked about going against conventional wisdom and he said you know one point GM was one of the strongest companies in America and people told the consultants told the you know geom board of directors hey the Japanese are coming and they ignored them and he said smart investors were selling GM and buying Toyota and Toyota exploded and made their investors very very wealthy this very this very thing is happening right now people are talking about a Sun article to said oh is Bitcoin a a Ponzi scheme that is hilarious that word Ponzi scheme is always thrown thrown around when people do
