Hello friends, welcome to 10x Trader. I am Rajesh Kumar. Today I am going to talk about a small cap company in which Vijay Kidiya has recently invested and he is holding it at around 1. So let us come straight and see what is the name of that stock. Its name is Patel Engineering. If you are already invested in it, then please let us know by commenting.
But today we are going to discuss how good its growth can be in the future. If we look at the market cap, it has a market cap of around 4700 crores, which means it is a small cap company. If we look at the current price, it is 55 and the book value is 38, so we are not getting it very expensive. We are getting 1.5 times the book value.
If we look at the price trend, it is 23 times, which means it is also quite fairly valued. If we look at the ROI, RV is slightly low at 13 and 6, almost 7. So this is an infrastructure company where ROI is generally low. More income can be earned on the basis of volume, so if you look here, you will see here that we will get an overview of the company.
Patel Engineering Ltd is engaged in the construction of dams, bridges, tunnels, roads, piling works, industrial structures and other kinds of heavy civil engineering work in areas like hydro irrigation, water supply, urban infrastructure and transport. Now friends, we can come here and see that the company does all these works.
Dams are there in hydropower, roads in transport, dams also do a lot of work in water works, it works in urban structures like setting up a very big industry or factory, and micro tunneling means that nowadays you have to do a lot of tunneling for laying cables or for making an underground road, for this very big machines are used, so all this is very precision engineering, that is, you have to make machines there with a lot of precision, with a lot of accuracy, so whatever they make, a lot of expertise is required for it and no one can do it quickly.
One cannot enter into this thing, so in a way Patel Engineering has become an expert in this field. At the same time, if we look at the investors, the promoters used to have 54 but now it has come down to 36. But there is nothing to worry about here because they have bought as much stake as they have sold.
You can see AIS held FIs at 3, earlier it used to be at 2, now it has come down to 8.47, that is, F has bought the back at around 6. At the same time, if we look at DI, DI has also gradually increased it from 5.59 to around 6.38. At the same time, if we look at the public, the public's stake has also increased from 27 to 44.
And if we look at other parties, theirs has also come down from 2.75 to 4.39. And if you look at other parties, there is your Patel Engineering Employees Welfare Test which is held at around 4. You can see that he holds approximately 1.42, that is, he is holding above 1, hence we see his name here. You may also see the names of some other Indian investors like Anil Vishnu Ji Mile Corporate Advisory Limited. So you can see that we are quite comfortable with the shareholding pattern. Big investors are invested in it, but still, because it is a small cap, there can be some risk in it.
At the same time, if we look at the results, you can see that the sales are continuously increasing, coming from Rs 544 crore to around Rs 1000 crore. In between, it went to Rs 1200 crore, then after decreasing, we can see its growth trajectory again. If we look at the net profit, where earlier the company was in loss, there was a loss of -36 crore, where now A profit of 69 crores has been made.
If we look at the EPS, we are seeing a good growth in EPS. 0.56, 0.49, then 0.89, which means that EPS is also in a growth trajectory. Now let us take a look at how the chart is showing us this. You can see that the high of this company was quite high, the company used to hover around 900, but due to some problems, today we are seeing it at 57.
So if we look here, what an interesting thing we are seeing at this place, the volume has increased a lot at this place. You can see here that the volume here is very high, which means people are showing a lot of interest here. So the stock which was lying dead for so many years, we are now seeing some life coming out of that stock here.
Because you can see that many big investors, FIS, DIS and Vijay Kade, who himself have increased their stake, so we know that he is a long term investor. We earn a lot of money by investing in small caps, so from here we feel that the stock can go up a lot. If we try to find the first target, it appears to be around 108, which can double you from here.
If I zoom in and show you, you can see that the stock has entered an uptrend. Here you can see that you see a clear uptrend and currently the stock is standing near an important support level. If we get a breakout from here, then the stock can go up a lot, which is our target coming out to be around 108.
