02. Hello friends, I warmly welcome all of you to the Stock Market Classes channel. If you are visiting for the first time, please subscribe, click the bell icon, and keep it selected so that you get notified on time whenever I upload a video. So friends, let's start today's powerful video.

03. In today's video, we are going to talk about Warren Buffett and explain a theory he discussed. In that theory, he talked about the pyramid strategy. The pyramid strategy means he mentioned whether the market cap is cheap or expensive, and how the market's valuation relates to GDP ratios.

04. So by extracting this pyramid idea from it, I am going to try to explain in simple language how this pyramid strategy can be helpful for your investment journey. But friends, right at the beginning, I want to state one thing clearly. The first thing I will do in this video is explain the theory, telling you what the pyramid strategy is. After that, I will also give you a practical example of how it works. If you don't watch the example here in this video, it is better to leave now. I have seen many people watch half-heartedly. If you leave after just watching the theory, you won't understand anything. But if you watch the theory plus the example, the entire video, then you will understand the whole thing very well. So discipline is required. I'll tell you this first, so make a note.

05. So friends, this is the pyramid strategy. Let's keep it very simple and not involve any complicated things. The core of the pyramid is this: when something happens at the top level, we first talk about valuation. We will also see this as an example, according to an individual share. So at the top level, if a stock is valued at a certain level, invest in it or buy a small quantity.

06. If it falls, increase the quantity a little, that is, make a medium-size investment. If it falls further, increase the quantity a little more or make a bigger investment, and if it falls even further, invest even more.

07. Warren Buffett also knows how the market moves. At first the rate remains normal and no one is interested. I am speaking of the front office of retail investors, which we also call stage one. Then there is a tremendous explosion in the stock and it enters a show stage, meaning a rocket-like rise is seen. In newspapers, articles, all social media, and business channels, there is discussion about that stock. This stock is at 300, then at 400, then 500, so it comes onto the radar of retail investors.

08. Warren Buffett said that if a stock goes up, then obviously someday it will come down too. So use the pyramid strategy: when the stock goes up to a certain level, make a small investment at the very top. Listen very carefully: if that stock falls, make a small investment of medium size, and so on. A little at the top level, then more, then the largest quantity at the lowest level. You can see the pyramid being formed, low, medium, high, and double, right?

09. Now you may think, what is the benefit of investing in pyramid style? There are three tremendous benefits.

10. First, you can buy the stock even at a high level, and you don't need to wait. What does waiting mean? Many people think: the stock went from 100 to 200, 300, 500, 600, and my train has left. If you also caught the bhakti train, I have told you many times: invest at the lowest level and invest very little, because you are already late. You should have bought at the start. Now the stock has fallen a lot, yet you still like it, so decide on a small quantity here. If it rebounds tomorrow, you should have cash in hand so you can average down. So the first advantage of the pyramid strategy is that even in a runaway train, you can buy at the top level but with a small quantity. Because of this you don't have to wait.

11. Second, if there is a fall after that, you have cash available to average your position. This is the advantage of the strategy.

12. Third, your strategy is designed so that whatever the price keeps falling to tomorrow, you will keep averaging according to the plan. So your average price will be close to the current price. When the stock recovers, it will easily beat your average price and give you an immediate profit.

13. To understand what I just explained, let's go through an example. I said at the start that listening to the theory alone, you may feel you understood only 30%. The theory may seem a little complicated, no doubt, but after seeing this example you will understand the whole thing.

14. Before that, I would like to say: if you have opened a demat account until now, a list of 25 videos will be provided to you absolutely free. Please tell me your name and which account you opened in the comment section, especially if you opened it through my link. Within a week, all these lectures will be provided to you free so you can learn the stock market in easy language.

15. Now let's continue with the example. I would also request you to like this video. My motivation increases, and I keep making these types of learning videos for you.

16. We will take two examples: Mr. A and Mr. B. Friends, immediately take a calculator and do the math while you keep focus on the concept I'm explaining. Both Mr. A and Mr. B have to buy 100 quantity in total, no matter what the price is.

17. Let's first look at Mr. A. Mr. A has turned our pyramid strategy completely upside down, like an ice cream cone. What we said was to buy a little at the top, more in the middle, and the most at the bottom. Mr. A did the opposite. He bought the most at the highest price, then less below, and the least at the very bottom.

18. Here is the example. When the stock was at Rs 100 and had run up well, he bought 50 quantity. When the stock came down to Rs 80, he bought 30 quantity. When it reached the lowest, Rs 70, he bought only 20 quantity. Till now we learned to buy the lowest quantity at the top and increase it as the price falls. They did the whole thing the other way around: highest buying at the top, then reduced, then reduced again. They turned the whole pyramid upside down and made the ice cream.

19. So what happened? Friends, look: they bought 50 quantity at Rs 100 and invested Rs 5,000. They bought 30 quantity at Rs 80 and invested Rs 2,400. They bought 20 at Rs 70 and invested Rs 1,400. Totaling this, their investment becomes Rs 8,800 for 100 quantity. Averaging this, the average price comes to Rs 88. The share currently is running at Rs 70, the average price is Rs 88, quantity is 100, and investment is Rs 8,800. That is Mr. A's story. He ruined the pyramid by using the ice-cream method, which I did not recommend.

20. Now Mr. B is a very good student. He followed the pyramid idea Warren Buffett described: start from the top, then a medium amount, and the further down you go, the more you buy at the lowest level. When the share was at Rs 100, at the top, he first picked up only 10 shares. When it went down to Rs 80, he picked up 20 quantity. When it reached Rs 70, he picked up 70 quantity. Total quantity becomes 100, and the investment comes to Rs 7,300. The average price is Rs 73, so by adding the two zeros, the average is about Rs 75 as per the figures given. Friends, you can see the stories of Mr. A and Mr. B.

21. Now the conclusion. Mr. B bought 100 quantity by investing about Rs 7,300. Because he did proper money management and used the proper pyramid strategy, he saved about Rs 1,500 compared to Mr. A, who spent Rs 8,800 for the same 100 quantity.

22. Now compare the second point: both Mr. A and Mr. B have 100 quantity. The current price is Rs 70. Mr. A's average is Rs 88, while Mr. B's average is Rs 75. The advantage is that the current price is closer to your average price. Look at this: if tomorrow the share goes from Rs 70 to Rs 76, Mr. A will say it doesn't matter because he is at a loss, since his average is Rs 88. But Mr. B will smile, because his average is Rs 75 and he is already in profit by Re 1 per share. If the share rises to Rs 80 tomorrow, Mr. A will still be at a loss, while Mr. B will say, "Brother, I'm happy, my average is Rs 75 and now it's Rs 80, so I'm getting a profit of Rs 5 per share."

23. So friends, as I said, if you do proper money management and use the pyramid strategy, you invest less money and still get the full quantity. You can also see the gap between the current price and your average price. Mr. B's gap is only about Rs 5. Mr. A's gap is about Rs 18. That means even if tomorrow the stock goes to Rs 85, Mr. A will still be at a loss, while Mr. B is already in profit.

24. This is why money management is important in the stock market from the very first purchase: how you manage money, how you handle it, how you buy quantities. Reduce the quantity at the top level, and when the stock falls, increase the quantity. This decides your success. Even Warren Buffett cannot know the exact buying price. Many experts sit on YouTube and Telegram, and they tell millions of things, but money management is the most important part. As you can see, this way you get profit.

25. Remember this pyramid: if the valuation of a company is at a top level and you feel the stock is attractive, you can participate with this strategy. But if you do the reverse, and buy a huge quantity at the top, most people do this. When the stock is running normally, no one is interested, and then it seems everyone runs like a rocket. They buy the entire quantity, 200 shares, and when it goes down, they just sit there. You can see many portfolios with 40% losses, some with even 50% losses, and some with 60% losses. Why? Because they did not do money management. They just tried to ride the bhakti train and did it randomly. They did not use any pyramid strategy. They said "Bharat Mata ki Jai" and invested. If the money flows, it flows, otherwise the stock market becomes gambling. This should not happen.

26. Friends, this is also an education. Things have to be done properly and thoughtfully, only then can money be made. If you follow this type of strategy, it will take some time to learn because it requires patience. You have to plan properly. For example, here I buy a quantity. If it goes down, I buy quantity two. If it keeps going down, I continue buying in parts. If it goes up a little and then falls again, I buy 15 or 20 more. With this, your average price is almost equal to the closing price and average price. If it goes up a little, your position turns green. We don't have to wait for the stock to return to the top level. Those who bought a lot at the top are the ones who sit and wait for when it will come back. If you do this properly, you will get good benefits.
