intentionally misrepresentation or even negligent to try to make support for the Clarity Act go away. That's the CEO of Ripple on live television saying the most powerful banker in America is either lying about this crypto bill or actually doesn't understand it. And the wild part is even that he said it, it's the minutes earlier on the same show, the man who runs the agency that's about to regulate most of crypto said almost exactly the same thing about the same banker.
So you've got a federal regulator and the head of Ripple on the record both telling you the biggest bank in the country is misreading this bill. Now if you're holding crypto right now, watching the price chop sideways and wondering why this law keeps stalling, that fight is the answer because the thing slowing it down isn't technology and it isn't the public.
It's the bank protecting what they've got. So let me show you who said what, why a bank that makes $20 billion a year is fighting this hard and what it means to your position with the clock now down to just 16 days. As always, this isn't financial advice, do your own research and like and subscribe if you're feeling bullish.
And if you're becoming the first millionaire in your family tree, confirm with me three fire emojis in the comments. Official account in the description, now let's jump straight into it.
And if you're new here, I'm Josh. I went from London train driver to six-figure trader in six months. I'm not here to sell you a dream. I've spent a long time staring at charts and trading through real cycles, the green ones and the brutal ones, and I bring that lens to everything we cover. Same approach you trust from this channel, just another set of eyes on the stuff that actually moves your money.
So, let's jump straight into it. So, here's what actually happened. On one morning show, Maria Bartiromo had two of the biggest names in this whole fight back-to-back. First, the chairman of the CFTC, the agency that's actually set to regulate most of crypto if this bill passes. And then you have the CEO of Ripple.
And both of them independently took apart the same argument coming from the same place, the biggest bank in America. You start with the regulator because, let's be honest, that's the one that should make you sit up. Jamie Dimon, the CEO of JP Morgan, has been telling anyone who listened that this bill is dangerous, that it lets crypto firms dodge the rules, and everyone else follows.
And the head of the CFTC was asked about that directly on air, and he And let's be honest, he didn't dance around it. Statute certainly will impose AML KYC requirements on the exchanges that are registered with the CFTC to act as digital commodity exchanges. So, that piece I think is a maybe a misreading of the statute.
But I But of course, there are these entrenched interests fighting the bill. What this administration [snorts] believes in is competition and innovation. We believe in regulation. We want to set clear rules of the road and make sure that investors are protected, customers are protected, and that our markets are well-functioning.
But we also want to allow for this innovation. If we don't have it here, it's not going to go away. It will go to China. It will go to, you know, some foreign country, and we're just going to miss out on that. So, America needs to lead. We need a clear statute that sets the rules, and that's going to really allow our markets to continue to evolve if they as they've done So, the person who would actually be enforcing these laws is telling you on the record that the bank's big scary claim is just wrong.
The bill keeps the anti-money laundering rules. It keeps the know-your-customer checks. And his bigger point is the one most people skip past, that if the US doesn't set clear rules and let this happen, it doesn't disappear. It just moves to China. That's not a crypto influencer talking. That's actually a regulator.
And the reason that matters to you right now is the calendar. There are only 16 legislative days left before the Senate takes a break for its August recess. And once they break, the whole thing runs into the midterm elections, and that risks stalling for a long time. The odds of it passing in time have already slipped to around 60%, and some betting markets put it lower than that.
So, this is live, it's tight, and it's being fought over right now. So, if the regulatory says the bill is fine, why is the most powerful banker in America fighting it so hard? Brad Garlinghouse, the CEO of Ripple, gave the answer on the same show, and once you hear it, you can't unhear it. His point was simple, that Dimon has been dismissing this industry for a decade, called Bitcoin a pet rock, and is now defending a business that prints money.
Jamie Dimon has been dismissing this industry for a decade. He's called it a Ponzi scheme, he's called Bitcoin a pet rock. And if you look at JP Morgan, they generate $20 of revenue from their payments business, and five over $5 of profit. So, I think Jamie Dimon also should be clear that, you know, he is trying to protect and dig a deeper moat for a business that's extremely profitable for them, and they want to kind of maintain the status quo.
$20 billion a year in payments revenue, over 5 billion in profit. That's the number to keep in your head, because a bill that lets crypto firms and stablecoins move money cheaply, and even pay people a reward for holding, is a direct threat to exactly that business. So, when the bank says it's worried about consumer protection, Garlinghouse's actually read is that what he's really protecting is its own margin.
And he went further than that into the line that opened his video. He said Dimon's claim had the bill make it easier to do bad things isn't just wrong. It's either a deliberate misrepresentation or a careless and either way it's doing real damage to a to the bill that industry actually wants. Now, here's that moment
in full. Jamie Dimon did a disservice around when he did that interview with you, which I think was a great interview, is that he's representing that there's this reduces compliance concerns or it actually makes it easier to do bad things. And that's just not true. It's either intentionally misrepresentation or even negligent to try to make support for the Clarity Act go away.
And to be straight with you, this is one company CEO with his own book to talk. Ripple wins big if this passes, so take his framing with that in mind. But, the core fact stands on its own that the regulatory and the industry are on one side of this, and the bank is on the other. And the bank is the one with the most to lose.
So, if the money starts moving without it in the middle, and here's why that one-sided lineup matters more than the day-to-day noise. Whatever happens with the vote, the people who actually build and regulate this are lining up the same way, and that tells you the direction even when the timing is a coin flip.
And let's be honest, that's the gap most holders never close. You see the institutions lining up and where the money's going, but people but being positioned in those on-chain markets the way the big players are is a different thing entirely. That's what our coaching is built for. One-on-one, five months with an expert coach who actually trades these on-chain setups, working your real positions and your real risk, no call centers, and no course you watch once and then forget.
We're honestly uh changing lives of the serious investors inside it. The ones who decided to stop watching from the sidelines. Now, if that sounds like you, there's a free training in the description that actually breaks down exactly how we position on chain ahead of moments like this. And it it's going to cost you nothing but the time to watch it.
So, if it lands, book a strategy call with an expert on our team and this can genuinely change your life. But only the people who move on it ever find out. Right. Now, here's the part I respect and it's the part that keeps this honest. In the same interview, Garlinghouse talked about the new AI tools Ripple is rolling out.
A kit that lets developers build AI agents that can actually make payments. And the Mastercard partnership with around 30 companies in the industry building the same kind of thing. So, the AI and crypto crossover I covered last time isn't slowing down. It's being built out right now. Buddy, you know, I'm not going to go connect a AI agent to, you know, my brokerage account or my primary checking account.
I'm happy to go experiment and, you know, to do things and let's see where this all goes. But I think there's going to have to be a lot of protections and structure around that before people really connect to their bank account to an AI agent. That's literally the CEO whose own company is building these tools telling you he wouldn't hook one up to his own checking account yet.
And that's exactly the right read. The infrastructure is being laid. The XRP ledger is being set up to handle agent payments. The big card networks are involved, but the protections aren't all there yet. So, the move isn't to bet the house on it right now. It's to actually understand that this is being built whether the vote lands in July or not.
And to be positioned before it's finished, not after. And that connects straight back to where we left it last time. In my last video, I broke this down as a coin flip, a genuine 50/50 on whether the bill passes in time. And I gave you the levels I'm watching either way. On the upside, Bitcoin reclaiming the 64 to 67,000 zone is what flips the mood, with the 79 to 80,000 band the real war above that.
On the downside, 60,000 is the line that has to hold. And under it to the next real support sits around 53 to 55,000. None of this fight changes those levels. It just decides which way we test them first. So, let's bring this back to you and your money, because that's all that actually matters here.
And here are three things worth taking from it. The first thing is that the fight itself tells you the direction. When the regulatory who enforce the law and the industry that lives under it are both on the same side, and the only real opposition is the bank with the most to lose, that's not actually a close call on where this is headed.
It's only a question of when. And the bank can slow it down, but it can't change which way it's going. The second thing is that the timing is still a coin flip. So, don't bet the house on the date, because 16 days, 60% odds, and FX provisions that senators still haven't agreed on privately means it can absolutely slip past the recess.
And if it does, the levels I gave you last time are your map for the downside, because being positioned for both sides beats guessing at the outcome every single time. And the third thing is that the bill doesn't stop the vote, because the AI tools, the agent payments, and the institutional money getting ready all happening whether the bill lands in July or next year.
So, the real trade isn't reacting to the headline. It's being positioned in the networks this is all moving and onto before it finishes moving, the same way the institutions already are. And it's worth remembering what this whole fight is really about. Underneath, which is that moving money in this country is still slow and expensive.
And the people making good money off that being slow are the ones that fighting hardest to keep it that way. If you run a business, you feel that every single day on every payment you take. So, here's where it leaves us. The head of the CFTC and the CEO of Ripple both went on live TV and said the most powerful banker in America is misreading this bill.
And that the reason the bank is fighting so hard is $20 business it's trying to protect. The vote's still a coin flip with 16 days on the clock, but the direction the system is moving isn't. And the people building it aren't waiting for permission. Your job is literally to position both sides before the vote, not after.
So, if you've got value from this, smash that like and subscribe button. And if you're going to become the first millionaire in your family tree, drop those three fire emojis in the comments. And if you want to be positioned in the on-chain markets the institutions already are, the free training and the strategy call link with the team at Altcoin Pro are pinned in the comments. See you at the top. Stay bullish.
