Hey guys, welcome back to my channel. This is a very quick video analyzing Grab Holdings. Uh, Grap Holdings is a Singaporean multinational technology company that is headquartered in North Singapore. It has made the super app for ride hailing, food delivery, and digital payment services on mobile devices.
Um, one thing I'd like to mention about this company is that it has a market cap of 11.7 billion, a PE ratio of 20 according to Google. I don't know how accurate that is. And this company has made headlines because Jim Kramer has dismissed it as a $3 spec play. Now, here's what I'd like to talk about.
When we head over here to the chart of Grab Holdings over here, we can see we got the bullish and bearish views. So, I'm just going to pause it there for a moment so people can see that for those who want. Next up, we're going to take a look at their financials. Holdings has went public just a few years ago.
And as you can see, the revenue growth is very strong. Now, looking at their net income, it's been negative net income up until as of late. and their net profit margin just turned profitable back in 2025. Um, as far as we can see, this company has been going down since it went public in 2021. Stock has been down big time.
The forward PE is 21.6. Looking at their revenue estimates, we can see that the forward PE drops in 2027 to 18.3, which to be honest with you, that means if you're buying it today for $287, you're probably going to be holding on to it for a while without it going anywhere. Now, back to this article.
Jim Kramer dismisses Grab Holdings as a $3 spec. Um, this was on a MadMoney episode as of September 8th, according to the article. Um, he says he's never liked this company, and he is trying to help people remember that companies do go to zero, which is very true, especially companies that went public via spa.
Now, what does Kramer say about investing and index funds? Well, it's very interesting. In a few interviews, uh, according to Yahoo Finance, his article that says Jim Kramer says achieving early retirement comes down to just three things. and a CNBC article saying Jim Kramer's radical three-part formula for building long-term wealth.
We can see that he recommends 45 to 50% of your portfolio to be in broad market index funds like the S&P 500. He tells you right off the bat in those articles 50% in the index fund. Why? Because it's a safety net. There's low fees and it gives you good performance. And he, you know, even though he talks about buying individual companies, even Kramer is trying to help you see that, okay, you can buy a little bit of individual companies, but you should have half of your money in an index fund and forget about it.
Um, because there's a chance you don't outperform the market. Um, and even on Mad Money, he says your first 10 grand should be in an index fund. So, for those who want to know what I think about Grab Holdings, I think it's a money grab and they went public via spa. And most of these companies that went public via spa have not made any money for anybody.
So, if you guys like the video and you thought you learned something out of it, please stick to just buying a simple S&P 500 index fund. You will make much more money than buying individual holdings like this one. And there's a bunch of YouTubers who pump this company up. Bunch of YouTubers that hype this company up.
And you know, look at all these titles. Grab stock. Why it's on sale? Uh why is it stuck at $3? Well, it's stuck at $3 because it is growing. But, you know, the market wants to see better net income, higher revenue, and nobody knows if this company is going to be able to deliver. And now they bought apparently they're trying to buy a payment company so people can pay for their food in and force, which is crazy.
You know, these are the headlines that cause people to lose money. Um, if you guys thought you learned something from this channel, please subscribe. You guys can make money by buying a simple S&P 500 index fund. My favorite is the spy index fund. Even though it has a little bit higher expense ratio than VO, I like it because it's the first one that I bought and it has a very nice history.
When you hit the max button, you can see the history of the entire S&P 500 since 1993 all the way up until 2026. If you guys thought you learned something from this video, again, please like, share, subscribe to the channel, and see you guys in the next
