01. Do you know why there is inflation in Nepal and why the value of our Nepali rupee is weak and how the stock market crashes in Nepal and how the money of the poor is transacted with the rich and the source of all this is the same, which is the economic machine. The first part is an introduction, so let 's understand what economics is.

02. The economy is like a machine. The machine that all of us, the people, operate together. We think that economics is very difficult to understand and that it requires an economics expert to understand it, but according to Adam Smith, economics is a machine. The machine that all of us, the people, get together and operate on a regular basis.

03. The machine in which millions of money transactions take place every day, and it is this transaction that we understand as economics, in which we have buyers, sellers , money exchanges, creditors, and all of this together forms our economics. First of all, let's understand what a transaction is. Transactions are any money you spend in cash or on credit.

04. Suppose you have taken a loan from a bank, gone to buy something, or borrowed money from someone, we understand all of these as transactions, and in the language of economics, there are three types of transactions. The first is productive growth, the second is the short-term depth cycle, and the third is the long-term depth cycle.

05. Our economy goes up and down on the basis of these three, and the second is that it is easy for us to predict the future on the basis of one or three. And before we understand these three forces, let's first understand credit. And according to Red Dayo, the most important and dangerous part of the economy is credit.

06. So first of all, what is credit? Let's understand what credit is in very simple language. Credit is when you use future income to pay for today's expenses. Let's understand how with an example. Suppose you are a farmer and you need a tractor and you only have one lakh rupees and the price of the tractor is five lakh rupees.

07. And what do you do in that case ? You go to the bank, ask for a loan, and the bank looks at two things about you before giving you a loan. The bank looks at your income and the collator looks at it, and if you are eligible for the loan, the bank gives you a loan, and after taking the loan, you buy the tractor.

08. And from this example, you can understand what you understand, and you can buy the tractor today that you would have bought in the future. That's why we were able to use future money today. That is what we call our credit. That's it, and according to Red Dao, we understand why credit is important to us.

09. So why do we take out loans or credit? We take that money to spend on something or other. We spend money on things like building a house, investing, doing business, buying a car, buying a mobile phone, etc. And when more money comes into the market, when people start spending more money, our economy becomes stronger.

10. To put it simply, the more money we spend in our markets, the stronger our economy becomes. And I have already made a video about the economy that you can watch. And for all these reasons, our credit is considered extremely important for economic growth. And now we talk about the three forces of the economy and the first is productive growth and the most important part for the economy is productive growth.

11. And this means that when people work hard, use a technology very well, and learn new skills, that is considered the most real wealth for the economy. And let's take an example. Earlier, people used to walk or cycle to go from one place to another, and today, they use bikes and buses. Why is all this possible?

12. Technology has saved our time, saved our energy, and made our lives easier. And productive growth is what we call productive growth. Work that takes less time and makes our lives easier. And our economy will never be stable. It keeps going up and down and the main reason for this is credit. Do you understand how?

13. So when banks charge low interest rates, the number of people taking loans increases dramatically, and the more people taking loans, the more money comes into the market. And the more money comes into the market, the more our economy grows and after some time you might have noticed that when it comes time for people to pay that loan amount, then people reduce their spending and when our spending decreases, that's when our economy goes down.

14. And that's why, according to Ray Dalio, credit is so important to the economy. And when the economy goes down, two phases come. The first phase is the short-term deflation, which is our five to eight-year period, and when people have a lot of money, when a lot of money comes into our market, the demand for our goods increases, and after the demand for goods increases, our supply decreases, and after this supply decreases, we have to face one thing, which is inflation.

15. What is inflation? Inflation means inflation. If you bought this pen for five rupees five years ago, now this pen costs zero rupees. Yes, this is what we call inflation and when there is more demand than supply in our market, the government increases the interest rate to maintain it. What happens when the interest rate is increased?

16. When our government increases the interest rate, the number of people taking loans decreases. When the number of people taking loans decreases, then automatically less money comes into our market. The less money comes into the market, the more our market goes down. When there is less money in the market, our demand and supply are automatically maintained.

17. But in the long term, interest rates affect our economy and a phase comes which is called long-term depth and this phase is the longest phase which is completed in 75 to 10 years. And in this phase, our economy seems to be slowly improving, and in reality, our debt levels are increasing, and this cycle repeats itself every five to eight years.

18. And after a few years, a time will come when our depth will be greater than our economy. And after this crisis, the government uses a scheme called money printing. And in the case of Nepal, money printing is done by the National Bank of Nepal. Can the Nepal National Bank print as much money as it wants?

19. It doesn't fit. For this, the Nepal Rastra Bank buys bonds from the government and prints money based on that, which we call quantitative easing. And Nepal printed around 20 billion rupees of money during the Covid period on this very basis. And now we understand what Dalio's three golden rules are and what you can follow in your personal life.

20. The first is that if you borrow more than your income, there is a high possibility that it will be overdrawn in the long term. And the other thing is that if you consider your regular expenses as your income, then this will also have a very big impact in the long term. And the other is Increase Your Productive Growth and this means you have to work hard, you have to increase your skills, you have to understand technologies, you have to use technologies.

21. This is the most important thing for our productive growth and economy and this is the most important thing for you too. And finally, you'll understand what we covered in today's video. The first is economics. Economics is like a machine that all of us, the people, operate together. Where millions of money transactions take place every day, credit plays a huge role in the growth and decline of the economy, and secondly, there are three phases of the economy, and finally, we understand the three golden rules that are highlighted in red.
