What's up you guys? Welcome back to the channel. Um, in today's video, u, we're going to be talking about Jamie Diamond, the CEO of JP Morgan, which is the largest bank in the United States. He recently did an interview. Um, and during his interview, he said a a few interesting things. So, over the next few days, I'm going to be releasing some videos, basically taking the the clips that I thought that were some of the more important clips, and I'm going to be um basically doing in-depth summaries of each of those sections.
Um so, that way isn't like a full one hour, two hour video is uh it'll probably be like 5 10 minute videos with me just going over the key points. Um I don't want to jump too far ahead. the the title of this video is basically already summarizing what this video is going to be about. So with that being said, I'm going to jump right into it.
So tariffs are obviously in the mix right now. We also know that a number of company number of countries uh the game plan here is to get to trade deals. How do you think that shakes out? Do you think this ultimately maybe looking to the end of this year or the end of this term for this president that we actually end up in closer alliances with some of our partners than we it's you know we did a little bit of too much everything everywhere all at once.
So it's hard to step back from that and finish. I think the best we can hope for and we should hope for and I think I see them doing this which is to finish you know maybe there 15 important ones finish them. There'll be agreements in principle. They will not be trade agreements, but agreements in principle give you framework uh you know to get things done and hopefully they could do some in July, August, September, October, November.
I would engage with China, you know, I I just got back from China last week. I'm not scared, folks. This notion they're going to come back with America. I don't I wouldn't count on that. You know, I have a problem. They put 100,000 engineers on it and uh they've been preparing for this for years. So, but we should engage and and when we do these trade agreements, the most important part is not you know uh TV making TVs or or making furniture or t-shirts or sneakers to it should be the stuff that relates to national security.
Okay, it's rare earths medical uh pharmaceutical uh ingredients, penicellin and it's things which relate closely relate to national security AI narrowly done uh you know the chips you hear read about uh and then things which I think are very un all right so that sounds like some potential markets to invest in AI um medicine rare earth fair trade where they might be using merciles behavior to dominate global industries That is the tough war.
By the way, read all history. That is what started it. And that might be cars, batteries, solar panels, stuff like that. That we should do with their allies. It's not going to do America a great job if we kind of hold it off, but we we don't stop them, you know, begging thy neighbor or begging Europe.
So, we have to be very we should be doing some of that with our allies, which our allies need our help, by the way. They they know they need to do some of these things and someone won't be able to do it without us. There's an expanding intersection between industrial policy in this country and national security.
Sort of get it what you're talking about with some of these different industries and it's spanned in the last couple of administrations. Everybody devils in the details in ter in terms of how the policies shake out across administrations. Um but I I guess to that point do we need to rethink what constitutes national security?
I wouldn't rethink it. We know what constitutes national security. We need you know I was saying we shouldn't be stockpiling Bitcoin. We've just got to find guns, bullets, tanks, planes, drones, you know, rare. And and that's the main section of this. He basically, and I'm I'm let him finish before I jump into Earth.
We know what we need to do. It's not a mystery. Bitcoin. I said we shouldn't be stockpiling. she was I guess she I don't know if she was personally interested in Bitcoin if she wanted to run with that narrative or what but he went the opposite way that she was thinking but yeah he he he just said it like I said this is the CEO of the largest bank in the United States saying that we should not be stockpiling Bitcoin we should be stockpiling bullets not treasury bonds but bullets rare earth and commodities um I found it to be super surprising.
And being that uh what is it? What is it? I want to say the Bank of International Settlements, but being that gold and US treasuries are are the only two um tier one assets and US treasuries are the only one with counterparty risk and gold doesn't have counterparty risk. based off of what he just said, I wouldn't be surprised if JP Morgan is behind some of all this gold that's coming in um that's has been coming into the country recently.
Um, a lot of people have been speculating it's either the that it's the United States government, but um, you know, just based off of the amounts that's been coming in, but based off of what he just said as as a CEO of a bank saying that we should be buying bullets and commodities, it's probably actually uh JP Morgan, that's just my theory, that's buying a lot of the gold that's been coming in recently.
Let's let's go ahead and continue. I bullets like you know the military guys tell you that you know if there's a war in the South China Sea we have missiles for seven days like come on I mean we all right he he just said they're saying we we would only have missiles for 7 days if there's a war in the South China Sea okay so that means that we we need to make more missiles he he just said it as CEO of the largest bank in the United States if we're making more missiles each missile contains ounces if not pounds of silver.
So that will probably shoot the price of silver up if the government or some big bank or or or big private industries or investors in general are buying missiles and commodities. Can't say that with a straight face. I think that's okay. So we know what to do. We just got to now go about doing it. Get the people together, roll up our sleeves, you know, have the debates, do some privately, do some publicly.
Uh you know J Mo, they're going to publish a we call it the defense action form. something that shows we don't we don't leave excess surplus production capability for missiles or bullets or bombs. We don't have a military that can flexibly move money from. You see how quickly the software hardware changes.
So the military can't have a 30-year program. They've got to be able to cancel that drone program, build up that drone program, hire this person to do the software. We have to allow them to do multi-year budgeting. We essentially don't. The military tells me it cost them $50 billion a year. Uh and we have to spend more.
I mean, so I go on and on and on. We're going to lay out all these things and hopefully help, you know, have just get get going. I think they know, but I All right. So, he also just hinted at JP Morgan um helping the United States government potentially with some of their accounting. Uh that that's another interesting statement.
I I would like to hear more about what he says with that or or hear him say more about what he's thinking in regards to that and um how he how how JP Morgan plans to assist. But that's another interesting statement. See, I think all of us in this room know about this. It's just now we have to do it.
We talk about spending more. A lot of focus on one of the things that is important. I know uh I man Jason done I don't if he's in the room did has done a great job at getting this bund bill through um the American people okay you know they know that when they when they see money going to Washington DC and you could be a Democrat or Republican my most liberal elite Democrats I always ask them do you personally believe that send trillion dollars down to DC is going to make the country better do you think it's going to be used for good stuff or it's just going to go to the interest groups And but my criticism and they don't by the way almost no one believes that my criticism is there are 13,000 lobbying groups in DC only there's only like 10 or 12 bank ones by the way people think banks are big we're not actually that big now you have private equity is bigger or stuff and you have to be absolutely should be I don't know if Gary's here taxing carried interest and all that but and nor should you allow many much salt deductions even though it would cost me a lot of money um but but those groups are so selfish cotton, corn, sugar, and when they go to DC to fight for interest groups, unions, teachers, and it's d it's really damaging our country.
So, you need leadership like a Ronald Reagan type, they have to explain to the American public why you have to sacrifice, you know, your own personal interest. And if you do, by the way, and we can grow 3%, you'll still be far better off. So, you know, to me, it's okay to sacrifice a little bit. and and you know they get all these drugs and all these groups a lot of cos they don't even know what their people are asking for in DC and there people are going to see people like Gary Cohen every day begging you know for a little special thing here a special thing here why this should not be discontinued the government is all that crap the business the American business doesn't need any special tax breaks at all they should rule the road what he's saying is true but a lot of politicians don't want to get rid of it for the simple fact that they're the ones that are making money on it.
Good regulations, uh, and, you know, let the world compete. And so there's there's a lot to do. We know what to do. Hasn't been done before. Just going to be hard. All right. So, that was pretty much that section of the video and the recap. I said, I'm going to be having more of these dropping later on this week, throughout the week.
