01. Jerome Powell has been the Fed chair for many years. He's been there, I think eight years at the end of this term, so two four-year terms. So he started in 2016. Actually, Trump's first presidency is when he started as well. So he his term is done now. He'll be replaced in May. He hasn't been confirmed, but he has, you know, been been nominated.

02. It's Kevin Warsh who's been selected to do that. Actually, it's kind of the worst of all decisions because, you know, two weeks ago we were still in the thick of the war, right? And and there's two things to consider, right? The war is going on, oil prices are going up. If oil prices are going up, then the biggest kind of cost input to any business, into the economy in general, including consumers, like making it to work and whatnot, that's going through the roof.

03. It's also very inflationary. So the the the cost of oil shooting up is at the same time recessionary because you have less spending, less dispensable income, you know, the cost of goods also um it's more expensive to ship things and get things and buy things. And so, you know, the cost of goods are going up while the economic kind of performance is going down.

04. That's literally the worst of both worlds. With oil going up and inflation going up, you'd want to raise rates, but the problem is that you're also seeing record job losses. Like the February jobs report was terrible. And like I said, the cost of energy going up is very recessionary. It's very bad for the economy.

05. So they would love to cut rates to to provide some relief to the economy and allow easier credit and and those types of things, but they can't because inflation and the cost of goods is also going up. So they're really stuck. When you try to avoid both, unfortunately, you kind of get both. And the combination of a recession and really bad inflation is is what's called stagflation.

06. And the last time we saw a stagflation was in the '70s. And from 1974 to 1980, gold went up 25 times because of the stagflationary condition. Silver went up 37 times in 6 years. Um under the same conditions. And and the price of gas went up 10 times. So, maybe we're not there yet because this war is being solved and the price of gas might return to the mid-'60s or '70s or something lower than where we are now.

07. You know, the next weeks and months will prove that out. But eventually, I do still think we end up in that situation. Unfortunately, and the best defense is physical metals. Here's the hard truth. Every 6 years, your dollar loses half its buying power. That means a $100,000 savings account today could feel like $50,000 by 2031.

08. And you see it every time you fill up your tank, buy groceries, or pay the bills. Prices are up. Your dollar's down. But there's a simple way to protect the value of your savings with something real, something proven. Gold. An asset that holds its value over time. And that's why I trust Noble Gold Investments.

09. They make it simple to protect your savings with physical gold or silver. No high-pressure sales, no call centers, just honest guidance, one-on-one support, and transparent pricing. And right now, when you open a qualified account, Noble Gold will send you a free 10-oz silver American flag bar as a thank you.
